Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 469: Chapter 293: Bath Time

The soapnuts were crushed with a small mallet, effortlessly creating rich lather. Little Mi had already swum a lap in the pond and, seeing Xiao Mi ready, climbed onto the rock in front of her.

”Little Mi, you’re so smart.” Xiao Mi rubbed the foam all over Little Mi.

”Xiao Mi, are you giving Little Mi a bath?” It was Wei Ziang, who had just come out, with his hair still wet and a fresh change of clothes, carrying some dirty laundry.

Xiao Mi blinked; she had forgotten all about washing her hair and taking a bath.

Although she had bathed at the inn a few days ago, the sweat over the past few days had left her body feeling sticky and smelling.

”Brother, is there any hot water left?”

Wei Ziang had rolled up his sleeves and casually grabbed a puppy, tossing it into the water. While the puppy floundered, he had already lathered up with soapnut.

”There’s plenty, you go wash first, I’ll give them a bath.”

After running around the mountain for several months, even Little Mi was dusty, and the foam came out grey.

Little Black and Little Mi didn’t bathe often, but didn’t mind either. However, the three puppies couldn’t handle it. After being caught by Wei Ziang, they kept trying to escape but didn’t dare struggle much.

Soon enough, Little Black returned, with a wild rabbit in his mouth. After returning straight home, the rabbit disappeared when he came back out again, likely taken to the kitchen.

With a splash, Little Black jumped into the pond, sending a spray of water that splashed all over Xiao Mi.

”Oh, Little Black, you’re so naughty! My clothes are all wet!” Xiao Mi glared angrily at Little Black.

Little Black barked happily twice, starting to do a standard dog paddle in the pond.

”Hmph!” Xiao Mi puffed her cheeks, ”Little Black is getting naughtier, he never used to be like this.”

Wei Ziang held a puppy’s neck with one hand, keeping it steady so it couldn’t move but wasn’t hurt, while the other hand scrubbed up and down, occasionally pulling out a twig or picking a small stone from its fur.

Watching Little Black and Xiao Mi playing around, he smiled and said, ”It’s been a while since Little Black saw Xiao Mi. He’s probably very excited.”

As he spoke, Little Black paddled closer, barking happily at Xiao Mi.

It seemed Wei Ziang was right; Little Black missed his little owner too.

”Little Black, wait your turn, I’ll wash you after I’m done with Little Mi.”

From head to tail tip, Xiao Mi was thoroughly scrubbed, with more soapnut added twice. Once Little Mi was covered in rich foam, Xiao Mi waved her hand.

”Okay.”

Little Mi turned around, jumped back into the pond, swam several laps, and all the foam floated on the water’s surface.

Then it came ashore again, shaking its body energetically.

”Oh no, Little Mi, stay back a bit!”

Even though Xiao Mi quickly reached out to shield herself, she still ended up covered from head to toe.

Wei Ziang, on the other side of her, was spared, thanks to Xiao Mi blocking the splash.

Wei Ziang couldn’t help but laugh seeing this, but after getting a glare from Xiao Mi, he immediately shut his mouth, pretending not to have seen anything, concentrating on washing the puppy in his hands.

Little Mi shook off the water, and apparently still feeling unclean, went back to Xiao Mi, who resignedly grabbed another handful of soapnut and continued rubbing foam on Little Mi.

After washing again, Little Mi jumped back into the pond, remembering to move farther away before shaking off the water this time.

After Little Mi left, Little Black came over, the big black dog, actually a wolfdog, stood taller than Xiao Mi when upright, and nearly reached her chest height while standing.

Yet now it was obediently allowing Xiao Mi to lather it, barking at the misbehaving puppies next to it attempting to escape Wei Ziang.

It seemed to be scolding them; after being scolded, the puppies behaved noticeably better, letting Wei Ziang bathe them peacefully.

Even Wei Ziang couldn’t help but marvel that Little Black and Little Mi were the most well-behaved and understanding cats and dogs he’d ever seen.

Xiao Mi murmured to herself, she’d heard the smartest dogs had the intelligence of a seven or eight-year-old human.

With Little Black and Little Mi drinking so much Spiritual Spring water and eating so many things raised in that space, their IQ must be beyond seven or eight years old.

Now, no, Wei Ziang is only eight years old, isn’t he?

But she only dared to mutter this in her heart, afraid to say it out loud, or else her brother would surely be angry, thinking she felt he wasn’t as smart as the puppies.
