Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 450: Chapter 279: A Friendly Competition

It turns out that Jiang Yu had just left not long ago, and Xiaoxue discovered she had bought one less embroidery thread, so Wei Ziang went with her to buy it.

When they came back with their purchases, they happened to bump into Jiang Hu Erniang returning home, only to find that Jiang Yu wasn’t there!

They thought Jiang Yu went out to find someone, and eventually, they missed each other, thinking that if Jiang Yu hadn’t found anyone, he would come back soon.

Unexpectedly, by the time they returned, Jiang Yu was already eating.

Especially since sitting opposite Jiang Yu was indeed a girl they didn’t recognize!

Jiang Yu first introduced Yingying to everyone, then handed two books separately to Xiaoxue and Xiaomi.

”Xiaomi, Yingying is also a girl who likes martial arts. She heard you can hunt and would like to meet you.”

Xiaomi nodded to herself, noticing that this young lady in men’s clothing was even more vigorous than her.

When heading up the mountain, she would wear practical clothes and pants, but normally she still wore little skirts.

Yingying was even more astonished, with her mouth agape, looking unbelievably at Xiaomi, who was much younger than herself.

”You are Xiaomi? You’re so young, can you really hunt? Can you pull the bowstring?”

During dinner, Jiang Yu had already told her about his two younger sisters, but she hadn’t expected these two sisters to be so young!

Especially the one who could hunt, being the youngest!

Xiaomi couldn’t be underestimated, raising her chin: ”Of course, I’m great at hunting. When I was back home, I used to go hunting up the mountain every day!”

Yingying’s eyes immediately lit up: ”Really? Fantastic, Xiaomi, can we go hunting this afternoon? I’ll go with you!”

Jiang Hu signaled everyone to go to the back courtyard first, as it was almost noon and the busiest time at the shop.

Six bodyguards followed them inside, but didn’t get too close, just standing at the door watching Yingying was enough.

At first, everyone didn’t know who he was. Jiang Hu even prepared to inform them that the back courtyard was off-limits, then Jiang Yu mentioned that those were Yingying’s bodyguards.

Erniang told them to play on their own and invited Jiang Hu to cook together.

Invited to hunt, Xiaomi was also intrigued, but after thinking it over, she could only shake her head: ”I’m not familiar with the surroundings and don’t know where to hunt.”

She also really wanted to go hunting. She was tired of shopping these past few days, and of course, she couldn’t wait to go hunting.

But the problem is, hunting isn’t something you can just go and do whenever you want.

Not to mention this is Fuzhou, and there are few forests around, at least it’s hard to see any forests standing at the city gate.

There are more farmlands around, at most just a small mound, which is already planted with crops.

Yingying was even more delighted hearing this. Xiaomi saying she didn’t know where to hunt implied she really could hunt, right?

”I know, I know, I’ll take you there, and we’ll go hunting together!”

She was so happy she almost jumped for joy!

Xiaomi was surprised: ”Sister, you can hunt too?”

Yingying patted her chest proudly: ”Of course, I’ve even caught a little rabbit!”

”Just a little rabbit?” Jiang Wei suddenly appeared: ”My sister has even caught a young deer!”

Yingying’s eyes widened in disbelief: ”Really? Is Xiaomi that amazing?”

Xiaomi casually gave Jiang Wei a gentle smack: ”What are you talking about?”

Then she turned to Yingying: ”I couldn’t do it alone, it was me and Little Brother who caught it together.”

Yingying blinked: ”Why do you have so many brothers? Who is Little Brother?”

Jiang Yu is the eldest brother, she also heard about Brother Ze, and now there’s another Little Brother?

”There, over there.” Xiaomi pointed: ”Wei Ziang, he’s also part of our family, just a bit older than me, so we call him Little Brother.”

Wei Ziang was looking at a book that Jiang Yu had bought for Xiaomi. Hearing Xiaomi mention him, he looked up at her.

Yingying looked at Wei Ziang, then at Xiaomi.

”You two are still kids, you’re amazing!”

Xiaomi wanted to say, aren’t you still a kid yourself?

But she realized she was actually shorter than Yingying, remembering that she was the same age as the eldest brother, five years older than herself!

Yingying was so excited that she had forgotten herself, grabbing Xiaomi’s hand, shaking her arm vigorously, her eyes shining.

”Xiaomi, let’s go hunting together tomorrow, my family has a game reserve. I’ll tell my dad tonight, and I’ll come find you tomorrow!”

Xiaomi felt a bit dizzy from the shaking: ”Game, game reserve?”

”Yes, yes!” Yingying nodded vigorously, then realized Xiaomi might not know what a game reserve was.

”It’s a fenced forest with lots of animals, specifically for hunting!”

Xiaomi was shocked, wasn’t this a private hunting ground? The book said only royalty or nobles have such a thing!

Of course, very, very wealthy people could also have their own game reserve.

But she wasn’t sure which kind Yingying belonged to.

However, that didn’t matter, as long as they could hunt.

Xiaomi admitted she was tempted.

She was about to say something when she heard Wei Ziang call out: ”Xiaomi.”

He only called her name, nothing more.

But it was enough to calm Xiaomi down, thinking: ”It’s not impossible to go, but if I go alone, my parents will definitely worry, can I...”

Before she could finish her sentence, Yingying interrupted: ”Then let’s all go together, bring your parents, brothers, and sisters. There’s an auxiliary residence over there, the guards can go hunting with us, and the others can wait at the auxiliary residence!”

The more she thought about it, the more excited she became. Yingying couldn’t wait to take Xiaomi hunting right away!

Xiaomi: ”...”

She did want to say to take her parents with her, waiting on the outskirts of the forest, and then have a picnic with food.

Just to let her eldest brother and Ze Brother relax a bit before their exams.

Unexpectedly, this young lady was even more straightforward than herself, arranging everything for everyone in one go.

After thinking it over, Xiaomi said: ”Then you should also go back and tell your parents first. If they agree, come get us early tomorrow morning, okay?”

This young lady was either rich or noble, Xiaomi felt that sucking up a bit wasn’t a big deal.

If she didn’t come tomorrow, that was another story. If she came, it meant her parents agreed, and taking the chance to go out and have some fun seemed nice, right?

Besides, the young lady was quite adorable, wasn’t she especially polite too?

Yingying hurriedly nodded, as if afraid that if she delayed her answer, Xiaomi would change her mind.

Erniang quickly finished cooking, originally inviting Yingying to eat, but unfortunately, she had eaten too much spicy hotpot earlier and had half a bun; now she couldn’t eat anymore.

Jiang Yu was, of course, the same, and the two quietly went to one side.

Yingying also didn’t leave, knowing Xiaomi had bows and arrows, she expressed she’d wait for Xiaomi to finish eating to see her archery skills.

However, the guards following her urged twice, only to be scolded by Yingying.
