Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 452: Chapter 281: Exactly the Same

Yingying stayed in the shop until nearly evening before heading back; before leaving, she was reluctant to part with Xiaomi, telling him to wake up early tomorrow since the hunting ground is a bit far away.

She turned back three times with every step; if it weren’t for the fact that one could tell Yingying was a girl even in men’s clothing, people might have thought they were a couple being separated.

After a night’s sleep, the next day, Xiaomi was still groggy when sitting up from bed, and someone was already knocking on the door.

”Xiaomi, Xiaomi, are you up? We have to go!”

Xiaomi jolted awake instantly.

”Why so early?”

It was Yingying’s voice, happily banging on the door. If it weren’t bolted from the inside, she might have just pushed her way in.

For a moment, she thought she had overslept, but then she turned and saw her second sister just getting up too, so how could she have overslept?

The only possibility was that Yingying had gotten up too early.

”Wait, wait, I’m getting up right now.” Xiaomi quickly responded, and then Second Aunt’s voice came from outside as well.

”Yingying, have you had breakfast? I’ve just steamed some buns, want to have some?”

”Auntie, let’s take them and eat in the carriage. The carriage is at the door, and once Xiaomi is up, we’ll head out early.”

Xiaomi opened the door just in time to hear this. Looking at the sky, it was still early, just the middle of the morning.

”Yingying, why are you up so early?” It was no more than six o’clock, probably got up at five.

Yingying grasped Xiaomi’s hand and started heading out: ”Not early, not early, if we don’t hurry, it’s going to be very hot.”

”Hey, wait a minute, we haven’t grabbed our stuff yet.”

Because of Yingying’s commotion, everyone else woke up too. Jiang Hu was drawing water in the yard, and everyone took turns washing their face.

The chill of the well water instantly made everyone more alert.

Yingying stood by, reminding Jiang Yu to bring some books, to avoid getting bored waiting for them while they hunt in the mountains.

Oh, and to Second Aunt and Jiang Hu, saying there’s a lodge outside the hunting ground, and she’s got everything ready so they don’t have to bring anything, just go and have fun.

Finally, Second Aunt only took three small packs of dried venison for the three kids planning to hunt to bring along, in case they got hungry and to satisfy a craving while hunting.

For Yingying, venison wasn’t anything special, but Xiaomi caught these!

Under Yingying’s urging, the whole family got on the carriage in less than a quarter of an hour, a super luxurious, wide, grand-looking carriage!

Besides two luxurious carriages, there were over thirty riding guards, plus an ordinary carriage loaded with supplies.

Yingying ushered Xiaomi, Xiaoxue, and Second Aunt onto the front carriage, while all the men rode in the back carriage.

Yingying was evidently very excited, constantly chatting with Xiaomi about the hunting ground, past hunting experiences.

”Actually, the hunting ground was bought by my mom as a birthday gift for my dad, but my dad is too busy, he rarely has the time to go hunting, so it’s us kids who get to enjoy it.”

Xiaomi was shocked, thinking this family must be really wealthy.

”Your parents really love each other, huh.”

”Mm-hmm.” Yingying nodded, taking a bite of a bun: ”Auntie’s steamed buns are so good, if they were sold, they’d be snapped up immediately.”

Even better than the chef-made ones at home!

”If you like them, eat more. Once you go into the mountains, you’ll be expending a lot of energy and will get hungry fast.”

Yingying, about the same age as Jiang Yu, and similar in temperament to Xiaomi, made Second Aunt think of what Xiaomi would be like when she grew up.

Yingying nodded repeatedly: ”Xiaomi, you’re so lucky. Your aunt even personally prepared things for your hunting. My mom doesn’t like me hunting, she always says girls should be gentle and virtuous.”

Fortunately, my dad supports me, and today, with my dad’s help, I snuck out. If mom knew, she’d definitely lock me up and not let me out.

Xiaoxue, sitting quietly by while eating buns and drinking tea, noted that in the middle of the carriage was a small table with a teapot, teacups, and the like, with magnetic bases to keep them steady.

Besides Second Aunt’s steamed buns, there were also some hot tea snacks on the table.

Hearing Yingying’s words, she laughed: ”Don’t say that, Yingying, even though your mom says that, she didn’t force you to be gentle and virtuous. She still let you go hunting.”

Yingying pouted: ”It wasn’t my mom who let me out. I snuck out myself.”

Second Aunt was taken aback, sneaking out? That wouldn’t do, and she was about to say something but saw Xiaoxue shaking her head.

”No way, Yingying’s mom surely knows. Our mom is the same, she knows everything big or small at home.”

”Besides, if Yingying’s mom really forced you to learn to be gentle and virtuous, you wouldn’t have had the chance to learn archery, let alone go hunting.”

Yingying was stunned, then thoughtful: ”Come to think of it, my dad leaves early and comes back late every day, and mom handles everything at home.”

Most importantly, dad listens to mom a lot, and there’s nothing mom doesn’t know about our home!

The more she thought, the more something didn’t seem right, her eyes widening: ”No way? Mom pretended not to know, and let me out?”

Second Aunt also came to the realization, unable to suppress a kindly smile.

”Let’s not talk about today, but Yingying’s archery definitely had her mom’s permission. That’s not something you learn overnight.”

Yingying thought it made sense, but still felt a bit perplexed.

”So, my mom actually agreed to me learning these things, but why does she keep nagging me to be a lady?”

With that, Xiaomi instantly fell silent, while Second Aunt and Xiaoxue both glanced at Xiaomi.

Yingying blinked and looked at Xiaomi, not understanding, then turned to Second Aunt.

”Auntie?”

Second Aunt smiled helplessly.

”Well, she’s just hoping, maybe with a little more nagging, the kids will listen. I often nag Xiaomi to learn from her sister, but this kind of nature is innate, not something you can change with nagging.”

Xiaomi scratched her nose and looked at the sky.

It seems that moms everywhere are quite similar with their children.

Yingying suddenly had a moment of realization: ”Oh, so that’s how it is.”

Then her eyes sparkled with delight.

”Thanks for the reminder, Auntie. I just remembered that after mom scolds me, she always says to act properly in front of outsiders, that’s probably what she meant.”

After all, for most people, overly fierce girls aren’t considered good for marriage, so she rarely flaunts the family name outside.

Xiaomi tugged on Yingying’s sleeve: ”That’s what my mom says to me too.”

Yingying replied with a sneaky smile.

No matter whether they went hunting every day or not, whenever there were guests at home, they would behave a bit more properly.

Second Aunt shook her head, these two kids, their temperaments were really identical.
