Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

”So amazing!” Xiaomiao was astonished at the time.

According to her thinking, as long as they could break even, it wouldn’t be a loss.

Madam Liu laughed, ”I really didn’t expect it. Before this, Manager Wang’s restaurant was always losing money on salary.”

The main problem was that the location was too remote, with hardly any dining customers, but unexpectedly, by changing the clientele, it actually became profitable.

Then Madam Liu opened the piece of paper in her hand and placed it in front of Xiaomiao.

”Since it was your idea, you deserve a share of this spicy hot pot. It’s not too much, but a 20% profit share is feasible.”

”Ah? Is Aunt Qian talking about giving me dividends?” Xiaomiao was stunned.

She thought it would be just some silver notes at most, but if it’s shares, as long as Liu’s Spicy Hot Pot doesn’t close down, she could always get a profit!

Madam Liu nodded with a smile, ”Yes, dividends. However, since it’s not much every month and the distance is far, let’s have Manager Wang keep track, and we’ll settle once a year.”

”No need, no need, Aunt Qian, you’re too kind, I’m just...”

Xiaomiao waved her hands repeatedly. Over the years, their family had been taken care of a lot by the Liu family. Regardless of the reason, the care for the Jiang family was genuine.

When she proposed the idea of spicy hot pot, she never thought of asking for any kickbacks, considering it as a repayment for the Liu family’s protection over these years.

As for the dividends, she never even considered it.

But before Xiaomiao could finish speaking, Madam Liu interrupted her by raising a hand and directly stuffed the deed into her hand.

”Your aunt is giving this to you, just take it.”

Seeing that Xiaomiao wanted to say something, Madam Liu patted her hand, ”Listen to what your aunt has to say.”

”Regarding this spicy hot pot, Manager Wang has considered that the power structure in Nanyang Prefecture is complicated. To establish a foothold there, one must depend on one of those powers.”

In Cheng County, she is a wealthy figure, plus her husband’s status, so how could she be willing to rely on others?

”The emergence of this spicy hot pot is timely. Those people look down on the business dealings of the lower classes; we do not mind. After all, there are more poor people than rich people worldwide. How can we only think of doing business with the wealthy?”

”Manager Wang also mentioned that after some investigation in Nanyang Prefecture, he’s preparing to open several more shops elsewhere, exclusively for chain spicy hot pot stores.”

”Aside from Nanyang Prefecture, there are also some remote counties and even towns, where we can open this spicy hot pot.”

”Of course, as I said before, any spicy hot pot business has your share, Xiaomiao, but during the initial stage of expansion, we will need to use a considerable amount of capital, so the earnings from the shops might be reinvested at first. Xiaomiao, do you understand what I’m saying?”

Although always aware that Xiaomiao is a smart child, Madam Liu tried to keep it straightforward and clear, but after all, Xiaomiao was only seven or eight years old, and she worried that Xiaomiao couldn’t understand.

Fortunately, Xiaomiao nodded, ”I understand. It’s initial development, later dividends. Is that what Aunt Qian means?”

Madam Liu nodded happily, ”Yes, yes, that’s exactly it. Xiaomiao, you are so smart.”

Then she regretfully shook her head, ”It’s a pity my daughter Jing’er has no interest in business and only likes managing her embroidery workshop. In the future, I don’t know to whom I will hand over the family business.”

This relates to the Liu family’s private issues, so Second Mother and Xiaomiao just listened without saying much.

However, Xiaomiao looked at the deed in her hand, still somewhat hesitant.

With the deed, their relationship with the Liu family seemed a bit closer, but similarly, with more financial dealings, if not handled well, it could also turn sour easily.

Unexpectedly, the deed had her name written on it: Jiang Xiaomiao.

Madam Liu immediately noticed Xiaomiao’s confusion and smiled to explain.

”The spicy hot pot was originally proposed by you, so it’s naturally a partnership with you. Besides, your second sister’s embroidery skills are impressive. Although you are good at hunting, comparing it to your second sister, you earn far less.”

Xiaomiao nodded repeatedly. Her second sister is just a few years old, and her private savings had already amassed several hundred taels, while she had only a few dozen taels.

She remembered that the best sold embroidery piece by her second sister was over a hundred taels of silver, whereas she only earned several copper coins for catching a rabbit.

The mountain goat and wild boar were expensive, but even they only fetched several taels, at most twenty to thirty taels, and not every day could she catch them.

Madam Liu continued, ”This method was initially your idea, so the dividends naturally belong to you. Now that both sisters have money, you can support each other in the future.”

For Madam Liu, if Jiang Yu takes the civil service exam and gets into the bureaucracy, then the Jiang family’s land and agriculture might be left to Jiang Wei.

Even though women get dowries when they marry, the Jiang family is not a prominent family, so the dowry is limited.

The dowry of a woman almost signifies her influence in her husband’s family. Xiaoxue’s ability to earn money doesn’t need worrying at all.

Xiaomiao only knows hunting, but once she marries, becomes pregnant, and takes care of children, how could she have time to hunt every day? Without income, she’d lack confidence speaking in her husband’s family.

Madam Liu is indeed a capable head of the household, thinking about the future when the girl is just seven or eight years old.

Second Mother and Xiaomiao partially understood, but Xiaomiao knew Madam Liu’s good intentions. After some thought, she accepted it.

”Then I won’t be polite, thank you, Aunt Qian.”

A 20% dividend is quite a lot. If a shop earns one hundred taels a month, she just gets twenty taels, which means two hundred forty taels a year!

And that’s just the dividend from one shop. Aunt Qian mentioned that her goal was not just one spicy hot pot shop; after some time, Liu’s Spicy Hot Pot might be everywhere under Nanyang Prefecture’s jurisdiction!

Isn’t there a feeling of getting rich?

Isn’t there a feeling of holding onto a big leg?
