Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2749: Chapter 1954: Leifer the Merchant (Part 3)

”Oh, is that so.”

Lin Weiwei’s eyes lit up slightly, and her attention was instantly drawn.

Fei’er chuckled again, ”Also, the island of Lares is known for producing fashion designers who have won awards continuously at European and North American fashion festivals. They like to work in quaint street-side shops. And Miss Lin, did you know? They often tailor clothes for beautiful foreign female tourists, which you won’t find anywhere else. Look at you, so pretty, with such a good figure, I think the designers will definitely admire you.”

”Not at all, you actually have a pretty good figure yourself.” Lin Weiwei replied with a smile.

With that said, Lin Weiwei also became interested and couldn’t help but look at Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng knew she was tempted by the sales pitch, so he shrugged his shoulders and smiled, ”Alright then, you guys go shop around, just don’t miss out on time. I’ll wait here for you and enjoy the view.”

Next to him, Lei Ying said, ”I’m not going, but Weiwei, if you buy lipstick, get the hard-to-find shades for me so I can give them to Zi Yue when we get back.”

This man, burly and robust, was a typical husband who spoils his wife.

Lin Weiwei agreed and then looked at Mollya, saying, ”Miss Mollya, you should come along as well, the three of us can go together.”

Mollya, being a woman, was naturally very interested, and nodded immediately.

That’s just how women are: they might not like each other one moment, but start talking about something they are interested in, and they can become best friends the next.

What began as an ordinary conversation, Bai Xiaosheng inadvertently found, that the man with a Mediterranean hairstyle at a neighboring table was continuously glancing over with a shifty look.

Bai Xiaosheng felt suspicious, but pretended not to notice.

The three women got along instantly, and it was hard to keep them seated. They immediately grabbed their handbags and clothes and left together.

Once they left, Lei Ying also stretched and got up, saying, ”Well, I might as well go take a walk too?”

”Go ahead.” Bai Xiaosheng waved a hand.

Lei Ying turned and left as well.

Left alone facing the ocean while sipping coffee, the balding middle-aged man from the neighboring table stood up and came over, sitting across from Bai Xiaosheng with a smile.

”Do you... need something?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with a smile, sizing the man up.

The man smiled warmly, placing a hand on his chest in a gesture of courtesy, and said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Sir, let me introduce myself. My name is Leifer.”

Bai Xiaosheng spoke, taking a sip of coffee, almost choking himself as he suppressed a laugh.

He managed to hold it in, but still ended up coughing repeatedly.

Leifer?

This balding middle-aged man is called that?

Isn’t that the name of the dog that gets beaten up in a movie?

”What’s the matter?” Leifer asked, puzzled as he looked at Bai Xiaosheng, smiling.

”Nothing...” Bai Xiaosheng, while coughing, made an apologetic gesture, ”I just choked on something.”

After calming down, Bai Xiaosheng wiped the corners of his mouth with a napkin to hide any emotions that might break through.

”So, Mr. Leifer, do you need something?”

”I heard that lady call you Mr. Bai earlier. May I address you that way, Mr. Bai?” Leifer asked with a friendly smile.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded.

”Mr. Bai, I am also a businessman. My family’s business is of a small scale, operating mainly between several island nations, but it’s somewhat known.” Leifer spoke modestly, yet his expression carried a hint of pride.

”Just now I heard that you and your companions have a large business, even able to converse with Kustiel’s officials, which is truly admirable. So, I wanted to get acquainted. Judging by your looks, are you of Huaxia descent, or a Huaxia person?” Leifer eagerly questioned.

Business people have sharp eyes; they can size people up accurately. Among Bai Xiaosheng’s table of two men and three women, none of them lacked an extraordinary aura.

Leifer’s intention was to make a good connection with Bai Xiaosheng, hoping it might benefit his business ventures.

Hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng also became interested.

A businessman familiar with the commercial landscape of island nations, Bai Xiaosheng gladly wanted to establish this connection.

Bai Xiaosheng’s visit wasn’t just about firefighting and resolving problems for the Sixth Business Division; he was also considering bringing their business alliance into the picture.

”I am a Huaxia person and a businessman with a large business scale, engaged in various industries.” Bai Xiaosheng’s words seemed boastful, but his demeanor remained calm.

Leifer was momentarily stunned.

His tone wasn’t modest at all, yet observing closely, he appeared to be speaking truthfully...

Those who knew Bai Xiaosheng would understand that this was already him being humble—his business prowess was far greater than just ”large.”

Leifer didn’t take Bai Xiaosheng for a liar, because someone who could converse directly with Kustiel officials couldn’t be an ordinary person!

Precisely seeing this as an opportunity, Leifer actively sought this acquaintance.

”That’s fantastic, Mr. Bai. How about we discuss a business deal, very lucrative.” Leifer leaned a bit closer, lowering his voice with a gleeful smile,

”This deal will bring huge profits very soon!”

”I’m familiar with this area. As long as you have channels back in Huaxia, we can both make a fortune!”
