Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2737: Chapter 1949: Assigned Tasks

Leaving Bai Xuanyu, Bai Xiaosheng pondered one question on the way: what Bai Xuanyu mentioned, why he was summoned back to the group headquarters.

Bai Xiaosheng had been curious about this matter, yet upon returning, he was too busy visiting others to have time to inquire.

However, even if he asked someone, Bai Xiaosheng thought he probably wouldn’t get much information.

Jiang Kuo, Soruns, and Brown, despite their high ranks, likely wouldn’t have much knowledge about this matter, otherwise he would have heard something during their meeting in the morning.

Perhaps they only knew some rumors, were uncertain, or found it unimportant, so they did not mention it to him.

At the level of business presidents, the only one likely to have real-time insider information related to him would be Caroline, due to her close relationship with Vice Chairman Morgan, much closer than anyone else with the vice chairmen.

Caroline and Vice Chairman Morgan showed hostility toward him; surely, they communicated frequently.

Of course, even if Caroline knew, Bai Xiaosheng wouldn’t go to ask her.

Asking would be pointless.

The other person who might know the details would be Wen Yan...

Bai Xiaosheng recalled Wen Yan having Ruan Yu invite him to a department team-building at noon, likely wishing to tell him something.

Unfortunately, Bai Xuanyu intercepted it.

Bai Xiaosheng thought and shook his head slightly.

On this matter, it might just be his overwhelming curiosity; it might not be very important.

Otherwise, Wen Yan would certainly find a way to let him know.

Just as Bai Xiaosheng was thinking, he heard hurried footsteps behind him and someone calling his name, ”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng.”

Bai Xiaosheng stopped and turned around at the sound.

He saw Bai Xuanyu’s middle-aged secretary catching up, panting due to the rush.

”Is something wrong?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

The person approached Bai Xiaosheng, slowed his steps, and evened out his breath before saying, ”Mr. Bai Xuanyu asked me to inform you that a top-level corporate meeting is to be held soon. Please proceed to the first large conference room on the 101st floor. Other business presidents and vice chairmen have been notified by phone, so some must have arrived.”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded, politely said, ”Thank you, I’ll head over now.”

That person then bowed and left.

Watching his back, Bai Xiaosheng murmured to himself inaudibly, ”Is it about to begin?”

Afterward, Bai Xiaosheng set off for the meeting venue.

On the way, he happened to run into Soruns, they walked together.

While chatting, Bai Xiaosheng mentioned the meeting. Soruns indeed knew little about the content, only saying it might be related to the Sixth Business Division.

Bai Xiaosheng knew the Sixth Business Division used to be called the Australia Business Division, then involved island nations and changed to the Oceania Business Division, with high-level executives accustomed to calling it the Sixth Business Division.

The detailed situation, Soruns didn’t know, let alone parts related to Bai Xiaosheng.

”This time, not only have you been summoned back, but Brown has also come, and even Acting Chairman Bai Xuanyu has appeared. This meeting is unprecedentedly large, with nearly everyone present.” Soruns whispered.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded slightly in response.

Soon they arrived at the corridor on the 101st floor.

Walking toward the first large conference room, Bai Xiaosheng suddenly heard a ”ding,” sounding both ethereal and real, crystal-clear, yet Soruns nearby was completely unaware.

In fact, Soruns couldn’t hear it, because it came from Bai Xiaosheng’s own mind.

Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes paused slightly, then returned to normal.

Soruns happened to overlook it.

Red Lotus’s voice ”sounded” in Bai Xiaosheng’s mind—

”New promotion tasks released: Choose one of two tasks to complete to successfully advance to a vice chairman level in the group.”

Hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng’s usually calm mind was shaken.

Such an important promotion, and there’s a choice, quite rare!

Completing either task could directly elevate him to vice chairman, truly exciting!

”Task One: Accept the group’s meeting commission and complete it within a year. Failing to meet the deadline will result in a ten percent score deduction as a penalty.”

”During task implementation, ensure the progress of existing work isn’t affected.”

”Within a year, investigate and address a significant error or issue of one vice chairman level, as an auxiliary condition...”

Listening to the task content, Bai Xiaosheng’s mind focused.

No wonder it’s a vice chairman level upgrade task, the difficulty is exceptional!

Strict timelines and penalties, not only completing the group’s delegation but also ensuring ongoing work, the key being to investigate a vice chairman-level figure’s issue?

Those people, seasoned and sophisticated, deeply rooted beyond measure!

Handling so much within a brief year, while finding trouble for them, is nearly impossible!

”What’s the second task?”

Bai Xiaosheng stayed attentive.

”Task Two: Refuse to accept the group’s commission, while resisting the acting chairman’s decisions, maintain all current positions and power.”

”Upon successful refusal, unlock frozen experience progress, but score acquisition within a year must not exceed five percent of current existing scores, next-stage score acquisition slows by five percent.”

”Please make a choice within five minutes...”

This second task, though concise, made Bai Xiaosheng frown silently.
