Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2747: Chapter 1954: The Merchant Leifer

Bai Xiaosheng, Lin Weiwei, Lei Ying, along with Fei’er and Mollya, a group of five, took an evening flight, directly to Kustiel.

The flight would take over ten hours, arriving at their destination—Kustiel’s capital, Lares, around seven in the morning.

That night, everyone fell asleep on the plane.

The business class seats were spacious and comfortable, convertible into beds, and covered with thick blankets, making it quite comfortable indeed.

In the early morning, Bai Xiaosheng was awakened from his sleep by an announcement, lifted the blanket off his body, and stretched lazily.

He opened the window next to him and looked out to see a vast expanse of pure blue ”veil” in front of him, immaculate and shockingly pure.

The plane seemed to be flying sideways, and below lay the ocean.

Although he couldn’t smell the sea breeze inside the cabin, the pure color was enough to stir his heart.

Bai Xiaosheng felt sentimental.

No wonder so many poets and writers, having witnessed the ocean’s vastness, would feel a surge of creativity.

Of course, the shock of being by the sea and seeing it from this perspective were different, for it was this view that made one feel infinitesimally small from the heart.

As Bai Xiaosheng gazed out the window, he suddenly noticed patches of yellow-green on the blue veil, and upon closer inspection realized they were small islands.

They were truly ”small” islands, with only visible yellow-white beaches and three to five green coconut trees.

However, soon larger islands appeared in view, and buildings began to appear on them.

Even larger islands followed.

”Finally, almost at Kustiel.” Bai Xiaosheng whispered to himself.

The nation composed of four major island groups was something he eagerly anticipated.

In the cabin, Mollya, Fei’er, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying also woke up one after another, each tidying themselves.

Ten minutes later, the plane landed at Lares International Airport in Kustiel.

Despite being an island nation, Lares had an exceptionally large and grand airport, surpassing even some inland developed countries’ capital airports.

Bai Xiaosheng had read materials and knew Kustiel’s geographic location was extremely important in the history of world transportation.

With its thriving maritime and air transport, these were vital to their economy, naturally making aviation and maritime ports key investments.

Previously, Zhenbei Group’s Sixth Business Division seized a golden opportunity to help Kustiel build a new port for free, promising fifty years of usage rights.

But unexpectedly, a sudden tsunami severely damaged the ongoing construction, forcing a halt.

Bai Xiaosheng learned from the materials that the originally prioritized protection works were delayed to hasten progress, which led to a shock to the main structure. However, the main building suffered no significant loss during this natural disaster, proving the quality of construction was excellent.

Restarting will not only require immense investment, clearing, and rebuilding but also facing accountability from the Kustiel side.

Kustiel believes the new port’s safety is questionable and demands the Sixth Business Division send senior officials for dialogue, or they might tear up the agreement.

Bai Xiaosheng’s visit this time is primarily to explain the issues, with project restarting being secondary.

If Kustiel tears up the agreement, the previous investment may all go to waste.

Bai Xiaosheng and the group got off the plane and collected their luggage to leave.

Among the three women, Fei’er was dressed the most fashionably and beautifully, but dragging her huge suitcase made her look rather awkward.

Mollya also had her own luggage and even helped her with a small suitcase, really unable to lend a hand.

”Why didn’t we bring any attendants?” Fei’er kept complaining softly to Mollya, looking wistfully at Bai Xiaosheng’s back.

However, she dared not complain much in front of Bai Xiaosheng.

Before the trip, Bai Xiaosheng had clearly stated they were to travel light, and she dragging that big box was somewhat contrarian.

Moreover, Bai Xiaosheng initially wanted to lend a hand, but she firmly refused.

Fei’er dared not let Bai Xiaosheng act like a servant, fearing her mother would be angry if news got back.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying weren’t intending to help either, and the two showed a rather exceptional relationship with Bai Xiaosheng, resembling friends rather than attendants.

So naturally, Fei’er dared not compel them, thus could only forge ahead like an ant dragging a beetle.

But after repeatedly lagging behind with her suitcase, Bai Xiaosheng and the others grew impatient waiting again and again.

In the end, Bai Xiaosheng signaled Lei Ying to help.

Lei Ying then went over silently to assist.

Fei’er quickly thanked Lei Ying repeatedly, then turned to catch up with Bai Xiaosheng.

One important purpose for her coming along was to establish good relations with Bai Xiaosheng, at least to become well-acquainted.

”Miss Fei’er, didn’t we agree to travel light before? Why did you still bring so much stuff?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

It was not a reprimand, just curiosity why she brought so much—it seemed exaggerated.

”This is already traveling light, I only brought a dozen outfits and a few cosmetics, daily necessities are all essential.” Fei’er looked at Bai Xiaosheng tenderly.

Beside them, Lin Weiwei glanced around impatiently.

Bai Xiaosheng momentarily speechless, could only suggest, ”It’s still early, let’s find somewhere to eat.”

”Great, I know a superb restaurant here in Lares, even passing merchants stop by to try it.” Fei’er said with some excitement.
