Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2704: Chapter 1934: A Stream of Triumphs (Part 2)

”By the way, your butler Levante and Mr. Jim are both over here. They’ve got the documents with them, right? Have them bring them for me to sign, then they can submit directly to Oshan.” Anlos took the initiative. ”Let’s get everything we can done today!”

The benefits the Maiyous Family was offering the Anlos Family did not come without conditions. Besides future joint cooperation and dealing with Bai Xiaosheng, right now they needed Anlos to sign a document and submit it to Oshan, formally proposing a temporary suspension of cooperation and lodging a protest and accusation against Bai Xiaosheng.

It was essentially the Anlos Family’s ”pledge of allegiance” for this partnership.

Once this thing was signed and handed over to the relevant department within Oshan, the Anlos Family wouldn’t be able to go back on it even if they wanted to; they’d have to stand one hundred percent on the same side as the Maiyous Family.

”Good, good, I’ll have them bring it to Mr. Anlos right away.” Maiyous said with a smile.

Levante and Jim had already arrived at the Anlos Family residence with the documents two days earlier and had just been waiting for this moment.

The two sides hit it off instantly, then hung up the call.

Maiyous phoned Levante, gave a brief set of instructions, then settled into a state of eager anticipation, with a faint, restless edge.

Near noon, Levante called.

Anlos had signed the document and sent someone along with them to the relevant department to submit it.

The Anlos Family had its own channels. The person receiving the document was an official of extremely high rank, and said it would reach the core leadership by tomorrow.

That meant the matter was basically nailed down.

”You’ve done very well, really excellent!”

Hearing this, Maiyous was overjoyed, lavishing praise on Levante and Jim.

This piece of good news today put Maiyous in an exceptionally good mood.

He hadn’t expected that when good things finally came, they’d come in pairs.

At three in the afternoon, another call came in to Maiyous.

It was no one else but Hogson.

Right then, Maiyous had a faintly excellent sense of expectation.

Perhaps it was the near certainty on the Anlos side that had given him enough confidence.

Sure enough, after a few pleasantries, Hogson stated directly, ”Mr. Maiyous, although there are still some opposing voices within my family... I’m willing to override them and cooperate with you! About that East African market commitment you mentioned, does that still stand?”

Hearing this, Maiyous smiled silently on the spot.

Businessmen really were the easiest people to talk to; as long as the profit was large enough, even the head of a family couldn’t resist temptation.

Maiyous smiled and said, ”Of course it stands. As long as you sign the document I mentioned earlier—your family will propose to Oshan a suspension of cooperation and file a complaint against Bai Xiaosheng—then everything we discussed will be honored.”

Once the pledge of allegiance was accepted, the Hogson Family would be bound to the same boat.

From Maiyous’s point of view, that meant there was no room for any tricks on their side.

Hogson seemed to have steeled himself, gritting his teeth over the phone. ”I can sign. Have your people send it over.”

With the family’s opportunity laid out in front of him, it looked like he’d decided to go all in.

Besides, the relationship between the Hogson Family and Bai Xiaosheng was far from friendly.

”Mr. Hogson, don’t make it sound so hard. Here’s what I’ll do: my people will arrive on your side tomorrow, but I can already honor my promise today and open up the East African business channels for you first.” Maiyous said expansively.

”In that case, that’s truly excellent!”

Buoyed by this news, Hogson’s voice finally grew excited.

After hanging up, Maiyous immediately contacted his people to open up resources for the Hogson Family’s businesses.

Of course, compared to the full-scale opening for Anlos, it was much more limited.

At the same time, Maiyous issued orders to Levante and Jim, telling them to travel through the night and try to reach Hogson’s current residence before tomorrow morning.

As for the document they needed Hogson to sign, it had long since been prepared.

With Maiyous’s orders, Levante and Jim naturally had no objections.

During the call with Hogson, Maiyous had learned that Hogson was not at the family estate but in a major city in Oshan, a few hours’ drive from Eisenlag.

By that calculation, arriving at Hogson’s place tomorrow morning would be no problem.

The next morning, just as Levante called back to say they’d arrived at Hogson’s residence, another call came in to Maiyous from Brady.

When no news came, nothing came at all; once it started, all three arrived together.

Only Brady’s news was neither good nor bad.

He still refused to go to Oshan to lodge a complaint against Bai Xiaosheng.

However, Brady said he was willing to suspend cooperation with Oshan and advance and retreat together with the Maiyous Family.

That, too, counted as tacit support.

With Anlos and Hogson already on board, Maiyous didn’t care much about Brady’s side. But to avoid rejecting Brady and pushing him into an alliance with Bai Xiaosheng, Maiyous still agreed and consented to the cooperation with Keruoge they had previously discussed...

In this way, the three giants of Oshan had already been completely pried loose by Maiyous.

After hanging up with Brady, Maiyous immediately reached Caroline and told her the near-certain news.

Maiyous didn’t dwell much on the details—they weren’t important. He only spoke of the outcome and indicated that the offensive against Bai Xiaosheng would erupt as early as tonight, and was expected to peak tomorrow.

Although Caroline was not clear on the specific maneuvers, considering Maiyous’s status as the number one family figure in West Africa’s business world, his judgment was naturally reliable.

Caroline immediately assured Maiyous that she would also, starting tomorrow morning, have the companies she’d long since arranged step forward and collectively launch an offensive against Bai Xiaosheng, and at the same time she would request that several vice chairmen at Zhenbei Group’s headquarters initiate an accountability process against Bai Xiaosheng.
