This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Seeing Wu Shengnan’s reluctance, Du Heng smiled and thanked Leader Zhang before directly pulling Wu Shengnan back home.

On the way back, Du Heng also found a pharmacy and specifically went in to buy some Medicine Ingredients.

”What are you buying medicine for?” Wu Shengnan, sitting in the passenger seat, had become drowsy and looked as if she was about to fall asleep at any moment.

Du Heng glanced at Wu Shengnan unhappily.

Truth be told, he wasn’t someone who liked to force others. Wu Shengnan herself was also a very headstrong woman, so there were moments when he really wanted to give up and just let her be.

But seeing Wu Shengnan’s tired face yet excited expression, he couldn’t help but try to persuade her again.

He had even steeled himself for Wu Shengnan’s stubborn, donkey-like bad temper. If she refused, he was prepared to physically carry her away; he didn’t want to indulge this woman any longer.

Starting the car, Du Heng said irritably, ”Of course it’s for soaking your feet. Look at the state of your feet!”

However, after Du Heng spoke, he received no reply from Wu Shengnan. When he glanced back, the woman had already drifted off to sleep.

He felt a pang of heartache and a sense of helplessness. Despite it, he drove much more steadily.

「In the morning」

Du Heng didn’t go to work, staying home to take care of Wu Shengnan.

After a night of deep sleep, Wu Shengnan’s spirits finally returned to normal. However, the sudden relaxation caused her injured foot to swell completely, so much so that she couldn’t even fit into her slippers.

But she was very happy; even having to use crutches again didn’t affect her mood in the slightest.

She hopped to Du Heng’s room on her crutches, saw him already working at the computer, and asked cheerfully, ”What are you writing?”

”It’s a previous research paper. It’s been delayed for quite some time, and my Teacher has reminded me several times. I need to finish it quickly and get it over with.”

Without turning his head, Du Heng continued typing on the keyboard. ”Breakfast is on the table. Go eat first. I’ll clean up after I’m done here.”

Wu Shengnan nodded, leaned close to Du Heng, and gently kissed his ear. As she pulled away, her entire face was flushed red.

Du Heng finally turned and gave Wu Shengnan a smile. ”Hurry up and eat. I still have to give you treatment later.”

When Wu Shengnan left, Du Heng looked at the document on his computer and narrowed his eyes slightly. After a moment of silence, Du Heng picked up the phone.

”Buwei, how effective is the prescription I gave you?”

”Senior Brother, the prescription you provided for treating facial paralysis caused by wind-phlegm is quite effective. Combined with Acupuncture treatment, patients generally see results in three to four days.”

Du Heng nodded. ”What about the dosages of pinellia, arisaema, and aconiti raw? Can a fixed dosage be used? Is there any variability among them?”

”The dosage you provided is generally applicable. However, during actual use, I discovered that peeling the monkshood enhances its effect slightly.”

”That’s an excellent discovery.” Du Heng’s smile widened. ”However, don’t let your guard down; you must closely monitor the patients’ conditions.

”When you make adjustments, you absolutely must not exceed the dosage I prescribed.

”Monkshood and pinellia are incompatible. This is no joking matter! If the dosage is exceeded, disrupting their balance, the patient is at risk of poisoning.”

”I know, Senior Brother.”

”Just knowing isn’t enough,” Du Heng said. ”You have to be diligent and not get careless and mess things up. And you absolutely must instruct the patients not to drink alcohol, understand?”

”I know.”

”Alright. In that case, find a few more similar patients recently. I need more data to support things on my end.”

After Du Heng finished speaking, he had expected a prompt agreement from Wu Buwei, but unexpectedly, Wu Buwei on the other end of the line began to hesitate.
