I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2192: 25.82 Lone Black Star - Battlefield

The crown prince, Ye Qinya, finally leaving the empire to head to the frontlines had made his departure at dawn the next day. A message to the frontlines was sent by the Imperial family the night before Ye Qinya left the empire. By the time this message had been received by the grand duke who was protecting the empire at the main battlefield on the same night, everyone already learned that the missing crown prince had returned.

Main Battlefield. Starfield X000. Empire’s Main Military Headquarters.

At the headquarters, the soldiers were guardians for any unexpected invasion or attack from the foreign races. The frontlines are completely different from the empire, in this area all possibilities can happen. A boundary with no real owner, would lead to two or more forces fighting over it. The Empire had always been the strongest universe which houses the human race, second to them is the Federation, etc.

The Great General and the Grand Duke, Ye Jie, was having a meeting with his subordinate on how to defend this area when a message from the empire arrived.

”Your highness, a message from the empire had arrived and... It’s from the emperor.”

”Play the message for everyone to see,” Lord Ye Jie, the great general ordered.

The messenger did as he was told and showed the video message from the empire. Then the figure of the current emperor, Ye Wang, appeared. All the soldiers had saluted before this figure. Only Ye Jie watches the video without moving.

{A’Jie, Qin’er had returned. He will take over your place as the great commander with the support of his crown princess, Ye Caoyun, to defend the headquarters. Your next mission is to clean up the planets within our universe and eliminate all the zergs within. The Crown Prince is already a demigod. May the victory and safety always be with you!}

The message ended after saying these. It wasn’t that of a long message but the content is much more surprising especially about the fact that the crown prince had returned and that he had reached demigod strength. In short, for him ascension to Godhood like their first couple ancestors had done before is possible for him now. If his crown princess becomes a demigod after this battle then, it’s possible that the two of them would be able to ascend together and become gods heading from the beyond.

At this point everyone already knew that Ye Caoyun was no longer the original Ye Caoyun. He had confessed to his family thinking that he would be hated by the duke and the duchess accepted this adopted son of theirs. For the Grand Duke there isn’t much to say, the son he had accepted in his heart had always been the current Ye Caoyun and no one else. Meanwhile for the duchess, he was sad when he had learned that the poor child he had always wanted to save had still been lost. However his son had saved this boy but took over his life after he had given up.

Most souls whose vessel was offered to a god whether it was possession or with permission would always be given a chance of reincarnation. The heavenly laws would always compensate them with a better next life. After learning Ye Caoyun’s identity as a former god, the duke and duchess already knew that this son will not stay in this world for that long. However, Ye Caoyun still promised that he is willing to accompany his parents until the end of their lifespan even if he had become a god in the end.

A god’s lifespan is long, waiting for a mortal’s lifespan to end is just a short episode in their eternity. That’s why without a partner most gods were omnipotent and omniscient yet they are an extremely lonely existence. Ye Caoyun had experienced that loneliness once. That’s why when he met Ye Qinya, he was reluctant to accept him. Only when he learned from his master, the God of Destruction, that Ye Qinya’s origin is not that much different from him that he was willing to open his heart to accept this man. Which eventually becomes a love between two people which would most likely last for a very long time. They wanted to become like their masters, always together no matter whatever the circumstance is.

The Grand Duke smiled and said, ”It’s great that my nephew is back. With him here, the pressure on us should lessen quite a lot. Someone informed the duchess and the crown princess!”

”Yes, Great General!” A soldier said before running off.

Lord Ye Jie had longed to know that the Crown Prince would become stronger than him. Their potential has a gap between, he was destined to reach only SS-grade in his whole life and only thanks to the ancestors’ teaching that he can reach the 3S-grade in this life. Moreover the fact that his son, Ye Caoyun had reached 5S-grade after fully awakening as a guide, it won’t be a surprise that as his fated sentinel, that the crown prince cannot become a demigod. With this the pressure on his and his wife would lessen greatly. His son is a guide after all, he couldn’t go fight in the frontlines alone because of this only he and his wife were defending the frontlines.

But his strength is barely enough to stop this mutated zerg race from invading them, and he had lost a lot of soldiers in the process. With a powerful commander like the crown prince to replace him then this battlefield would be dominated by Ye Qinya and with Ye Caoyun, the strongest guide supporting him, then this mutated insect race would be nothing.

Great General Ye Caoyun said, ”Great. With the crown prince we can definitely defeat these insects!”

All the other soldiers were all delighted as well. This news spread faster that it had reached the hospital area where the duchess and the crown princess were busy treating people. The Duchess, Lord Mo Jing, had overdone it and almost passed out. Thanks to his son, Ye Caoyun, he didn’t directly fall on the ground.

”Dad, take a rest and leave the hospital for me. You have overdrained your mental energy. You must rest,” said Ye Caoyun, the crown princess.

Some doctors who supported them also felt worried for the duchess, ”Your highness please listen to the crown princess. You truly need to rest now.”

”But there are still too many patients I can’t...” Lord Mo Jing said.

The crown princess said, ”Dad, please take a rest. I will handle everything. None of them will die as long as I am here.”

Sensing the serious tone and worry coming from his son, the duchess had no other choice but to listen to him. If he continues to remain stubborn this son of his would most likely tattletale to his husband and would be picked up here by that other stubborn old man.

Sigh~

”Alright. Dad will listen to you,” said the duchess.

Just as he was about to be escorted back to his room, news that came from above had reached their area.

”The Crown Prince had returned! He is heading to this place to take command!”

This great news had brought shock and delight to everyone in the area. Even though the Grand Duke is powerful, they had been guarding this place for weeks. Without ample rest and support from the empire, even a powerful person like Lord Ye Jie would still fall in the end. There is no one to replace him and thus he needs to bear more pressure on the battlefield. He might collapse if this continues. That’s why the news of the crown prince, Ye Qinya’s return, is like a hope for them to survive this war. Something everyone had yearned for.

The duchess, Lord Mo Jing exclaimed, ”Great! With the crown prince here, my husband can rest and my son can properly move around in this place.”

”We’ve always believed that the crown princess being at the rear is not enough, he would be able to save more people at the frontlines instead of here where they can only wait for those who had survived to return,” a doctor said.

After watching the crown princess work with their director, Mo Jing, these few days, they realized that he is an extremely powerful healer. He could have saved more lives and lessened the death count if he had stood at the frontlines protected by his sentinel. It’s just that the crown princess’ mental energy is so powerful that aside from his fated sentinel, the other sentinel would get harmed by him accidentally on such a battlefield.

The crown princess, Ye Caoyun, was also happy that his fiance had come back. When he had heard from the God of Destruction that Ye Qinya had been taken away by the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness, he realized that Ye Qinya must have been doing a training that would allow him to gain full control of that dangerous power his soul possessed. Now that he was allowed out meant that Ye Qinya had gained control over his power and would become a powerful one that can flip the result of this ongoing war.

Ye Caoyun, the crown princess, said, ”Finally. I can enter the frontlines.”
