I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2170: 25.60 Lone Black Star - Preparations for the Future

After hearing the words of the God of Destruction, the Imperial Emperor, the duke, the Crown prince and the Principal of the Imperial Royal Academy had somehow understood the reason why the two ancestors chose to become teachers. They wanted to help them with everything the Empire is currently lacking. They also know the Empire’s current weakness. Like their fear of full transformation even treating this state as something incurable. To strengthen the physique of the guides and promote the proper way to handle mental energy as well as to teach them the stable and the most potent of guiding treatment for the sentinels. After all, sentinels were more prone to going insane when they couldn’t control the outburst of strength and mental energy.

There is also the question of Principal Hei Cang about the fated pair. Though these two words were considered legends in the current empire at least it wasn’t something impossible. The two ancestors before them were one. The crown prince and the adopted son of the duke is another. It can be said that Fated Pair might be rare but they still exist. Moreover, this pair is completely different from other bonds between a sentinel and a guide. They can do things other bonds cannot do.

The God of Destruction explained the things about Fated Pairs.

He said, ”Healing between Fated Pair is not simple. Most fated pairs can touch their partner’s soul directly. Entering your bond’s soul domain is something that isn’t only building through trust but something else entirely. Those who are considered a fated pair are two people whose souls were the most compatible with one another. In short, two souls can function as one big soul.”

”One big soul?” Principal Hei Cang mumbles but there is still confusion imprinted on his face.

The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness said, ”When two souls function as one means that if one of them goes berserk, the other can take over and stop it from going out of control further. It also allowed one to replenish someone’s mental energy through this fated pair connection. Help each other repair each other’s soul domain and even borrow the mental energy of his pair. These are things that are impossible between the other kinds of pairs.”

”All those are truly possible?” The duke, Lord Ye Jie asked.

The God of Destruction smiled and said, ”It is possible. There is also a fact that Fated Pair isn’t something that can be considered a legend. This is the only state where a pair has reached a certain threshold of trust and affections that their soul resonates to one another. Ordinary pairing can also reach this stage when a level of trust and affection reach a certain level. Of course, not everyone can. After all, would you be willing to let another person touch your soul directly? Only when a pair reaches that level of trust can you also become a fated pair.”

”Please Fated Pair had an amplifying effect on the partners. It can greatly increase the strength and capabilities of a sentinel and also improve the mental energy of a guide. I assure you. This state is not impossible. Once you reach a certain resonance you can visit the soul domain of your partner. Plus, direct healing through the soul is faster than simple guidance from the outside.”

The more the Imperial Emperor and the others learned the more they felt that the truth that they didn’t know about was even more complicated than what they already knew. However, this knowledge that no one had told them before and they are determined to have it recorded. There is also the fact that they were given a warning of danger from future events. This is also another thing they had to prepare for ahead of everything before it befall on them and lest suffer descend in the Empire.

Their conversation lasted for hours until the two ancestors finally decided to take their leave. The people inside the principal’s office saluted them with all due respect and thanks in their hearts. Whatever they had learned in that conversation was the best the empire can know about. Plus, they were given permission to allow some adults to directly join the training. Though the God of Destruction only allowed the military to watch his lesson without direct interaction, learning a bit more from his guiding techniques would cure more people. As for the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness, he didn’t mind the military joining as long as they helped with sparring the young sentinels during some sparring lessons. After all, he didn’t wish to waste too much time fighting with brats and just in case he failed to hold back his powers again.

The lessons of the Royal Class continued. It can be said that in the whole Imperial Royal Academy, lessons taught by the Teacher Mo Anjing and Teacher Ye Xiajie are the most effective lessons that evolve the knowledge people of this world already know and increase their capabilities to another higher level. It’s just that they didn’t know, before the preparations for the future events had even begun, the first wave of danger is now approaching them.

Somewhere within the space. The new Insect Race’s Nest.

After the Ancient God took over the authority of this insect nest, using his tainted divinity a lot of things had changed among the insects of this nest. They’ve gained more abilities and power that was beyond what a normal zerg can achieve. A fallen ancient god can cause mutation within the genes and this is exactly what happened in the insect race of this nest. They had entered an evolutionary state which greatly increased not only their physique and abilities. They had also gained intelligence beyond what an insect can normally have. Moreover, this transformation would cause more tragedy about the human race.

The effects of an Ancient God interfering on this planet caused the Insect race to evolve. Moreover this evolution leads to some insect or zerg reaching a form very close to how humans look. If they continue to evolve even more humans, it would be harder for the human race to kill them. When an insect reached an evolution very close to that of a human meant this Zerg had reached a certain realm which is beyond what their insect race limits themselves.

What does it mean to have an insect with the same intelligence and form as a human being?

It meant that they had evolved beyond their limits and become a new species that might be able to exterminate the human race.

At the current level of the sentinels and guides in the empire, being targeted by a race that evolved would be almost impossible to defeat. To have enough strength to fight against an evolved individual, the current empire is lacking, only once they are capable of controlling their transformation that the human race do not need to fear these evolved creatures. This is also one of the reasons the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness is willing to help the empire get stronger.

On a planet full of varying insects, at the imperial palace...

Some insects had already evolved close to that of a human form. The only defects is that they couldn’t fully transform into that of a human and some parts of their bodies still remained that of an insect. Like the Zerg Queen of this palace, she is a butterfly zerg. After its evolution, its body was of a human. From the figure, to the two hands and two feet. The only difference that shows that this Zerg Queen is still an insect is its antenna which she cannot hide no matter what, that huge pair of butterfly wings on its back and that its eyes only have a pupil and no irises.

”The Butterfly Zerg King was currently guarding the Zerg Queen’s cocoon!”

”It’s been years and the Zerg Queen still hasn’t awakened.”

”Will the Butterfly Zerg Queen even come out of that cocoon?”

”Why are you so pessimistic!? The butterfly Zerg Queen will definitely complete her evolution.”

The Butterfly Zerg Emperor sitting on its throne beside its Zerg Queen’s cocoon, started issuing orders.

”The Zerg Queen is greatly lacking nutrients. I want you to capture humans for her to absorb and help her evolution.”

”Your Majesty! How many humans should we catch?”

”Can we also eat some as we do this capture mission, your majesty?”

”It’s been awhile since we came out! If I can eat my fill~”

”I do not care how much you eat during the mission. What the Zerg Queen needs must be supplied. If you fail to do so then this King will devour you~” The Butterfly Zerg Queen said.

”Yes! Your majesty!”

Ever since this day, nearby small and remote planets were the first ones to be targeted by the Insect race. Each small planet would seek reinforcement with the main star, however when the insect race arrived, none had successfully got what they wanted. Moreover, when the reinforcement had arrived the small planet was no longer a planet but simply an abandoned star. The insect race had been secretive about this mission and only when powerful sentinels were sent there to clean up the Insect race, they had found a survivor and started asking them about what happened. After learning this news, the first time they had realized that the Insect race had truly come back. A report was sent to the palace for this situation for the first time.
