I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2190: 25.80 Lone Black Star - The Crown Prince

The sudden arrival of the crown prince in the throne hall of the Imperial Palace was something no one had expected. After all, he had been considered MIA (Missing in Action) ever since he had lost control of himself and was taken away by one of the ancestors of the Imperial Family, the First Emperor Ye Xiajie. Now that he had suddenly returned and even came out of some unknown space rift that can appear and disappear on its own, everyone in the hall realized that the ancestors must have finished punishing their crown prince and returned them to normal.

The Imperial Emperor himself had gone down his throne and helped his son up. He looked around and saw that except for the fact that his son’s clothes had turned to something like a rag, he was completely unharmed. Not even a trace of wounds or scars.

Seeing his father’s reaction, the crown prince said, ”I have met the First Empress and helped me heal. To control my berserk state, Master had to beat me up. It’s only superficial wounds.”

Sigh~

”That’s great! That day when you had completely lost control I and your uncle wouldn’t have known what to do. It was thanks to the ancestors saving us in time that the empire didn’t fall. Son, where did you get such a dangerous ability?” The Imperial Emperor was talking about the darkness that had filled the hospital on the day Ye Qinya had lost himself to despair of causing his beloved’s pain.

The Crown Prince said, ”It’s a power my master, the First Emperor, has given me. He said if I want to overwhelm the enemies our empire is going to have in the future and now, that power is the most helpful.”

The Imperial Emperor, the ministers and the generals thinking of the mutated insect race all felt that even that dangerous power of the Crown Prince was something that would help them survive the invasion of the insect race.

”As long as you can control it and do not use it to harm our people then it can become our greatest help,” said Emperor Ye Wang. ”Your Imperial Uncle, Imperial Aunt, and the crown princess had gone to the front lines. Right now, only the three of them can block the incoming mutated insect zerg. However, because of this, many small planets under our empire had been destroyed.”

”Qin’er, are you capable of fighting those mutated zergs?” The Emperor asked with a serious expression.

This is not a question of a father to his son, but something an emperor asked his subject. Right now, Emperor Ye Wang is asking the Crown Prince as a general and as a member of royalty. As a member of the Regal Ye Clan, their utmost responsibility is to protect the Empire. This had not changed from the first generation and would continue to the current and future generations.

Upon hearing this inquiry, the crown prince, Ye Qinya, made a royal salute before the crown and declared,

”I am with my body and this life, protecting the empire. This is a vow that I make with my name and heirship in line!” Ye Qinya said.

Upon hearing this declaration, all the ministers and generals all felt respect and awe for the young crown prince. However, they can never ignore the fact that at this moment of promise the aura and presence the crown prince had showed was real power. A power that can overwhelm almost everyone in the empire and everyone in the throne hall including the emperor. It was only then that everyone had realized that their crown prince had gotten stronger once again. The same promotion in power like how the crown princess had done after he had woken up from his deep slumber a few weeks ago.

”Good. Good! As expected to this emperor’s son!” The Imperial Emperor laughed in delight, and felt extremely proud for his son. ”Then... Qin’er, we will leave the frontlines to you and the crown princess and send your imperial uncle and imperial aunt to save the small planets under our empire. You should become the second couple who can match our first generation ancestors! Once you successfully defend the empire, this old emperor will give you the throne!”

This time everyone in the hall was stunned. They had never expected that the emperor would have made a promise like this. However, the crown prince didn’t look excited like his faction or frowning like the other faction members.

”Imperial Father, even if this prince accepts the throne, I can only sit on it for a few centuries. Yun’er and my goal are ascension, like the First Emperor and the First Empress. Our desire is the world beyond this universe. Moreover, I am already a demigod. It is almost impossible for a god to have descendants in the mortal realm. So Yun’er and I might not be able to have children. The Imperial Father and the Imperial Mother are still young. I hope you can bear more children for our clan. I hope the Imperial Father will agree to this,” the Crown Prince said.

Except for the Imperial Emperor, all the ministers and the general didn’t expect that one day there would be an emperor who didn’t want to stay in his empire for as long as he lived instead dream of the world beyond one’s means. Something beyond what a human can reach all their lives. There is also the fact that they didn’t think in their lives that they would meet a demigod. This demigod is now their empire’s crown prince and someone who would become their ruler in the future.

After learning of such reality, some factions start to question if their chosen future emperor had the chance to win against the demigod crown prince of the royal family. When the ancestors had returned to the empire, the factions were terrified and almost gave up altogether. Only when they learned that they will not get involved in the fight for the throne that these factions were only half relieved. Now the crown prince had become a demigod, they had fully wanted to give up. Can mortals like them even fight against a half-divine like the crown prince? Unless they are seeking death, becoming an enemy of the crown prince is just a dead end.

After his morning court, the ministers and the generals were dismissed after they received their new tasks to focus on. The crown prince remained in the throne hall with his father, the emperor , whose face was as black as charcoal. Emperor Ye Wang couldn’t help but hit the back of his son’s head in anger.

”You stupid son! Even if you don’t want the throne can’t you at least think of telling this old man in secret! You want a sibling that is no problem. But now everyone thinks that our next child is meant for the throne, your mother will be in danger once she gets pregnant in the future!” The Imperial Emperor said.

The Crown Prince who was rubbing his swollen face said with an expressionless face, ”I’ve revealed my strength as a Demigod for that reason. Who would dare to have a divinity’s family? Unless they don’t want to reincarnate and perish with their very existence.”

The emperor had felt the dread and danger coming from his son when he heard him speak of these words. This is not just confidence but a fact that one cannot deny. In the realm of mortals, except for special existences there is almost no one who dares goes against the heavens. Ye Qinya knew that the beloved children of this world are him and Ye Caoyun, there wouldn’t be any other special existence that would be born in this world. Maybe after they left, the heavenly laws would choose another person to replace them. But until they leave this world and this universe, they will always be the protagonist of this world.

Sigh~

”Alright. This old man understands. When are you leaving for the front lines, Qin’er?” The Imperial Emperor asked.

The Crown Prince answers, ”After seeing the Imperial Mother, I will leave right away. The masters said that Yun’er will be in danger in the future. I need to get to his side before that happens.”

”The prophecies of the ancestors had always been right. This disaster from the mutated zerg race was something they had informed me before the first direct invasion to our territory had arrived. Thanks to that I was able to send your Imperial Uncle and made ample preparations. Even so... the zerg race had turned completely into monsters. This mutation was something we never expected them to undergo.”

The Imperial Emperor sat back down to the throne sighing helplessly and completely tired.

”Son, even with all the preparations we had before you had returned, still didn’t stop the death count from increasing. This zerg race is no longer a simple insect race. They are like demons!”

”According to the first empress, it had something to do about an evil god. But what can we mortals do against a god even if it’s an evil one!?”

The pressure that had fallen on the back of the emperor was simply too heavy. He would have collapsed a long ago if the empire didn’t have ancestors returning to the empire to greatly increase the strength of their people and for this alone, that they had survived until now. Even so, the weight of those people who had died still fell on the emperor and it was something he must bear on his own as the ruler of the empire.
