I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2181: 25.71 Lone Black Star - A Guardian but not a Ruler.

Somewhere in the void, the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness was watching the lovey-dovey scene between the two main characters of this world.

”Well, they are getting along too well~,” said Hei Anjing.

Ye Xiajie who was playing with his wife’s hair said, ”Let them be. Their battle was about to begin by that time, this kind of scene would be rare.”

”Aren’t you going to give your subordinate a warning?” The God of Destruction said as he took one of his lover’s hands and rubbed his face on it like a clingy cat.

The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness responded by caressing his wife’s face with full tenderness and said, ”I do not think there is in need. But sending a message wouldn’t be a problem.”

”That’s true. Let’s watch the movement of the Insect Race. I don’t dare to directly rip the space as that one would definitely notice it. Watching from the void shouldn’t be a problem.”

Then the God of Destruction lightly rips a thin piece of the space and starts watching the scene at the other planet inhabited by the Insect Race and the Ancient God who was transforming them into something else. This Fallen Ancient God is enjoying himself with all the transformation he is planning. He had mixed too many genes into the insect race that he ended up creating monsters amidst it.

”This is not enough!”

”These things are not enough!”

”More chaos! I must cause more destruction!”

”As long as there is death, there is despair.”

”The more negative energy, the faster I will evolve and the completion of my mission will be fulfilled!”

Hahahahaha~

The God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness watch the Fallen Ancient God laughing and talking to himself like a madman. Well most fallen beings had become beings with less sanity. Their last obsession becomes the only thing that keeps their mind going and most fallen only desire the opposite of positive. They wanted anything that could amplify their desires for chaos and destruction. The more there is death and despair the more excited they are as this is their source of power. Desire is their origin.

Hei Anjing said, ”He is about to lose himself. It seems that whoever their mastermind is, they are using Chaos Energy to strengthen the Ancient Gods but the ending result is that they lost himself in power. Like all other gods who go crazy when exposed to too much chaos energy.”

”But only our family has access to chaos energy, where will they get it?” Ye Xiajie suddenly recalled that the Ancient God of Chaos, Lord Hunluan and his master the World Eater, Lord An Shizhe had gone missing and they were actually looking for them. ”Did they get it from Master and Master’s Wife?”

”That is not possible. What I have placed on them was something no one can easily destroy especially if they are within the Diamond Cosmos,” said the God of Destruction but suddenly his smile slowly fades as he recalled another way to extract something close to chaos energy.

The Sovereign God of Void asked as he noticed the change of expression on his wife’s face, ” What’s wrong, baby?”

”Actually, there is another way and I think I now know why this Ancient God had fallen. However, I am unsure yet?” Hei Anjing said.

Ye Xiajie asked, ”The meaning is?”

”My love, don’t you know that Ancient Gods and Sovereigns were mostly born from Chaos Energy,” said the God of Destruction.

At first, Ye Xiajie didn’t understand what his beloved meant until he thought of things deeply and connected everything which all resulted to one thing which is the chaos energy.

”Don’t tell me...”

”Chaos energy is the source of all power. The purest energy in the cosmos and also the beginning of life and the reason for an ending. It can nourish life on a planet or a living place. But too much of it was poison, it can bring destruction and ruin as well as calamity.” Hei Anjing said with a serious expression. ”And Ancient Gods are born from it. Their whole existence is made up of chaos energy, why do you think they are so hard to kill?”

If this speculation of his happens to be correct then, there is only one way to gather chaos energy that is not from the original source of chaos itself. That is to extract the origin of ancient gods and once these ancient gods lost it, becoming a fallen is the most simple ending. Those who completely lose the core would become something not human, not divine, not gods, not even a living, but just a ghost born from a primordial period. The kind that had completely lost its mind.

”Worse case scenario, what would have happened if the chaos energy in an ancient god was completely devoured?” Ye Xiajie asked.

Hei Anjing answers, ”What can happen? They just perish. No rebirth. No reincarnation or no transmigration. They will be gone forever.”

”Then if most of the Ancient Gods are gone what would happen in this cosmos?” Ye Xiajie asked.

This question is something the God of Destruction didn’t expect to be asked by the man in front of him. Staring at those black and crimson eyes of his beloved, Hei Anjing narrowed his eyes with mirth within those silver eyes.

The God of Destruction answers, ”The whole cosmos would begin reconstruction. New Primordial Gods would be born. Most will be Sovereigns who would be promoted to become one. Also, a Cosmos Ruler would be chosen and awakened to stabilize the cosmos.”

”Does this cosmos do not have its own Cosmic Ruler?” The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness asked, ”Are you not the Cosmic Ruler of the Diamond Cosmos, Jing’er?”

A startled look appeared on the God of Destruction’s face when he was asked if he is the Cosmic Ruler of the Diamond Cosmos but in the end he shook his head.

Hei Anjing said, ”I am not. I am only the Guardian. That is only my role here and nothing else.”

”A Guardian that can overpower me, the Cosmic Dark Lord? You are too powerful, baby~” Ye Xiajie said.

The God of Destruction smiled and a pinch his husband’s cheeks then said, ”It’s because of that reason that a Guardian must be strong. Without a Cosmic Ruler, this cosmos would be defenseless.”

”Can’t you become a Cosmic Ruler instead?” The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness asked.

Hei Anjing said, ”I can’t. This Cosmos already has its own ruler.”

”There is a ruler but still using a guardian. What is wrong with your cosmos’s ruler?” Ye Xiajie grumbles in disbelief.

Seeing his other half acting this way, made the God of Destruction happy. As he can feel that the reason for this man’s anxiety is connected to him. A cosmos with a ruler but leaves its protection of a guardian, one would question what is wrong with the mind of that Cosmic Ruler.

Hei Anjing said, ”Alright. Do not worry about this for now. Let’s focus on our mission first. The other can wait after we saved Dad and Father.”

Sigh~

”You are right. Finding them is our priority. We can worry about the rest after this is resolved,” said Ye Xiajie.

One afternoon at one of the small resource planets near the empire itself had suddenly sent a message of request for reinforcement. The first true invasion of the empire. The insect race can eat almost anything and it wouldn’t be a surprise that once a world was noticed had gone into some changes that the whole place had been taken over. Before this report that something was wrong with this planet had reached the empire, the patrols that protected this planet had suddenly disappeared.

When reports from the resource planet had suddenly stopped and the patrol that protects this area had suddenly gone quiet as if they had disappeared, the space police would realize that something had gone wrong with the surveillance on this resource planet.

A drone would be sent to the planet to investigate the surface of the area. The moment they no longer see anyone alive on the planet, that would mean that the planet itself had a problem which finally reached the imperial palace. After all, a resource planet not having a caretaker or workers is impossible to exist. Well that is unless they had left the planet which would be recorded by the protective systems or... they were completely devoured by something.

The ability to devour things was something that made the insect race infamous. Because they eat almost everything, they love eating with the most energy. On a living planet which had the most powerful source of energy? The answer to this is simple. A living awakened regardless if they are a sentinel or a guide, the energy in their bodies are the purest. That’s why a world with no human presence when it is supposed to have one, only meant one thing. That resource planet had been taken over and its culprit had gone somewhere within the planet waiting for the next set of victims.

At the Imperial Palace, after the report had been read in the throne hall, everyone realized that the zerg race is now losing their patience and if this continues then a big interstellar war cannot be avoided. A war between the humans and the zerg.
