I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2179: 25.69 Lone Black Star - My Savior

You two met the ancestors inside the forbidden area of the royal academy,” said the Imperial Emperor. ”This is impossible. Without my royal decree, the caretaker will not allow anyone to enter the forbidden area.”

Emperor Ye Wang couldn’t believe that someone was able to enter the forbidden area for the royal family without the permission of the current king. The requisite to enter the royal library’s forbidden area is simple. Either the current king comes in person or brings a royal decree written by him. However, the current emperor had forgotten one thing. The Forbidden Area in the Royal Library was created by the First Empress with the support of the First Emperor. It is impossible for creators not to have their own key to their creations.

Even though the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness weren’t originally from here, with the world databases manipulated by the Heavenly Laws itself, all those placed under their name would be given to them. This includes the creation of the forbidden area as well as the identity as the ancestors of the Empire’s Royal Family.

While the royal family members were confused why two people were able to enter the Forbidden Area, only Ye Caoyun, an outsider, can see the answer to this question too well. Seeing an emperor, a duke and a crown prince thinking so deeply what the answer should be.

Ye Caoyun pulled his father’s sleeves and whispered, ”Father, what are you talking about? Is it about Masters? Are you talking about them appearing in the library, isn’t that normal? The master said he made that forbidden area, what’s wrong with having a back up key?”

Once these words were said, the emperor, the duke and the crown prince looked so stunned as if startled with what they had just heard. They seem to have just realized the truth. Looking at the innocent pair of eyes looking at them, the three men of the royal family looked embarrassed that they collectively averted their eyes from Ye Caoyun. Seeing them react like this Ye Caoyun couldn’t help but chuckle.

This reaction from him made the other three men to not have any face to look at him. They felt so foolish just now, why haven’t they thought of this possibility themselves and instead thought of all worse case scenarios that are simply impossible compared to this truth. The Crown Prince approached Ye Caoyun, even though his face is expressionless now, Ye Caoyun can still read some emotions within those eyes. Helplessness, embarrassment and slight pleading as if asking him to stop teasing them.

Ye Caoyun said, ”Alright, I will not talk anymore about the library. We should focus now on something more important.”

”You’re right. The report should be sent over by now,” said Ye Qinya, the Crown Prince and the Young Master, talking about the study of that mutated zerg they had successfully killed.

Overhearing the conversation between the two youngsters, the Imperial Emperor and the duke also remembered the existence of the mutated zerg. This is the first time they had seen a zerg with a few features similar to that of a human being. The insect race the empire had been fighting against at all these years were all, in their full insect form. Moreover, the only intelligent one from the insect race is supposed to be the zerg queen. A Zerg King was a unique existence and not all Zerg Queens would be able to give birth to an insect with a kingly presence.

The insect race the past emperor knew only knows how to reproduce with only the Zerg Queen having intelligence while the rest of the bugs were only listening to one leader’s order, which is the Queen of Zerg. However, it is completely different this year. Not only was there a Zerg King, the Zerg Queen was about to evolve into a Zerg Empress. When this happens then the Zerg Empress will most likely be born with a bit of a humanoid form and a Zerg Emperor would be born with it. Once that happens the insect race would most likely be recognized as a demonic race instead of as an insect race.

The Imperial Emperor, Ye Wang, asked, ”Qin’er, you and Yun’er where have you found that mutated zerg’s corpse? Did the ancestors give it to you?”

”We killed it together, that mutated zerg!” Ye Caoyun said.

The reaction of the emperor and the duke was shocked when they had realized that the process of the two children upon acquiring the mutated zerg wasn’t simply because they had found it dead and threw the corpse with them for the empire to study. But now that the crown prince and young master Ye Caoyun are saying that they had fought against this mutated zerg and finally killed it in the end is a completely different thing from just being the dead body of the mutated zerg.

This means that Ye Caoyun and Ye Qinya had exchanged blows with this mutated zerg, eventually winning against it.

The Duke, Lord Ye Jie, started asking things about the mutated zerg. The two answered every question honestly and eventually, they found out the things about the mutated zerg. The duke had everything remembered. It was at this moment that the report from the laboratories had come. When the report had stated that it was a newly killed enemy that even its corpse was fresh and all.

The way of death of this mutated zerg was done through a combination of fighting abilities that involves a sentinel’s fighting abilities and a guide’s direct interference with the battle. While the report is still ongoing, the Crown Prince had chosen to take away Ye Caoyun while the adults had been busy with something with their own discussion.

”Imperial Father, Imperial Uncle, Yun’er and I will take a leave now,” the Crown Prince said.

Emperor Ye Wang said, ”Alright you guys should go back first.”

With the permission, Ye Caoyun and Ye Qinya had finally left the throne hall and eventually headed somewhere safe and had a private conversation. After all, the changes on the crown prince were simply too big that others might have mistaken him for someone.

In the end, the two of them had returned to the personal dormitory of the crown prince where they had a conversation of their own.

Ye Caoyun asked, ”Who are you truly? As your fated pair, I believe I have the right to know who you truly are.”

”Indeed. I am willing to tell you everything in exchange. Can you tell me who you truly are?” the Crown Prince asked.

Ye Caoyun believes that it is only fair enough once that he told this man his secret. Even though they weren’t officially married, the moment Ye Caoyun had accepted Ye Qinya as his bound sentinel, his attachments to this world was not only because of his foster parents but also because of the Crown Prince.

”My identity isn’t that surprising compared to the other gods. Before I woke up as Ye Caoyun of this world, I was just a worker from the God System. I am just one of the Highgods that works for the Sovereign. It’s just that after living in Vearth for a very long time, there wasn’t enough improvement in my realm and eventually if that had continued I would most likely die and eventually entered reincarnation. I do not want to be reincarnated as a new person and my desire to keep my memories had made me seek help with a coworker who had helped him retain his memories even after he woke up in someone else’s body.”

”You woke up in someone’s body? Is it this body you are using right now? Doesn’t that mean you got reincarnated in this world where you took over an aborigine called Ye Caoyun? If so, what is your real name then?” asked the Crown Prince.

Ye Caoyun didn’t answer right away. Not because he didn’t want to answer but instead, he no longer remembered his original name. The moment he had opened his eyes in the body of Ye Caoyun, he had become Ye Caoyun himself.

The Crown Prince said, ”Waking up in someone else’s body? Did you come to this body on the day you finally fought back when you were being bullied in the restroom by your classmates and fainted in that hallway?”

”In my eyes, being bullied in that situation is simply unbelievable. It’s just this body was too weak at that time that even though I had won I had almost died. If not for someone being kind enough to send me to the clinic and get treated by Duchess Mo Jing himself, that I might have died again in that hallway,” Ye Caoyun said.

It was only after thinking of some things that Ye Caoyun had realized something was wrong with the spoken words of the Crown Prince that he wouldn’t have noticed it at all.

Ye Caoyun narrowed his eyes dangerously as he looked at Ye Qinya who had realized that somehow he had been exposed.

”How did you know I was being bullied in the restroom? Much less knew that I had fainted in the hallway and instead of somewhere else?”

”Well, I am not truly hiding something from you. It’s just I was unsure how to tell you that I had been watching the original Ye Caoyun being bullied and only made a move to help when I saw your state being dangerous if not treated properly. I was the one who had brought you to the clinic that day after you had fainted due to some blood loss,” The Crown Prince confessed.

Ye Caoyun stare at Ye Qinya with surprised and asked, ”You are the one who had saved me that day!?”
