I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2171: 25.61 Lone Black Star - Missing Humans

The insect race under the mission from the Butterfly Zerg King started attacking small stars and even captured the best humans to be sacrificed to the Butterfly Zerg Queen as the Butter Zerg King had ordered. It didn’t take long for them to destroy a few planets and get reported to the empire. Most of these planets were under the empire’s ownership and due to its sudden destruction it was finally reported to the Empire itself. Thankfully, the lessons from the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness continued properly even after the visit from the royal family.

The military had learned a lot and faster compared to the students. After they learned full transformation from the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness and faster heal guiding for the treatment of the mental contamination were learned from the God of Destruction as well. They had learned a lot from the lesson taught by the two ancestors. The guides under the care of the God of Destruction learned how to use materialized mental energy for ambush, how to partially merge with your quantum beast for amplification of healing ability and strengthening body and even the ability to fight even as a guide. As for the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness, he had taught the sentinel full transformation with and without merging with their quantum beast, amplification of overall abilities and keeping one’s sanity throughout the transformation.

The one who learned most of these without problem were only two people, the Crown Prince Ye Qinya and Ye Caoyun, who was intentionally chosen by the God of Destruction as his successor in this world. The power of these two especially after becoming a fated pair had become the strongest after their two teachers. Maybe because they were taught too well that despite being young Ye Caoyun had joined the frontlines where his sentinels are. There is also the fact that the crown prince and Ye Caoyun had become a fated pair which amplified their strength on the battlefield.

So when the report from the outer planets had reached the royal family, they were only stunned but their acceptance to the news is as expected after all their ancestors had longed warned about this situation.

”Your majesty, a report to the border asteroid belt! Traces of the Insect Race have been found!”

”It was said that countless remote planets were destroyed and all of the living ones were maybe killed.”

” Maybe killed? What do you mean? Have you not found a body for you to be unsure whether they are killed or not?” The Imperial Emperor, Ye Wang asked with a frown on his face.

The emperor actually didn’t expect to receive this kind of news from the borders. After all, the bordering planets had always been the most peaceful except for some space pirates loitering around in outer space. Suddenly, they had received vague news about what was happening from these remote planets and recalled the warning of their ancestors giving Emperor Ye Wang a bad feeling.

Someone from the military responded, ”There were no bodies on those planets. Except for the fact that traces of living and some dried blood was found, we would have thought that it was abandoned planets instead.”

The minister frowned and said, ”Were they eaten instead?”

”That is not impossible. They might be taken away as well.”

”But why would the insect race take them away? Moreover, do they have the intelligence to do such a thing? They only know how to devour beings and planets.”

”However, if they do have that kind of intelligence, what are we supposed to do?”

Once this question was issued, silence suddenly descended in the whole throne hall. After all, this possibility is not impossible and might be the worst kind of scenario that can happen. Though these were only speculation, it didn’t change the fact that all possibilities can happen in space. The royal meeting had talked about this topic for the whole morning and the imperial family chose to send a few troops to investigate these ruined planets more thoroughly.

Meanwhile, the crown prince had reported this to the ancestor during lunch. Sometimes he and Ye Caoyun would join Teacher Mo Anjing and Teacher Ye Xiajie for lunch. These two had become their masters after all. Not simply teachers as what they were being taught is something that cannot be learned by ordinary students of the Imperial Royal Academy.

”Shizuns, what do you think is wrong with these planets?” Ye Qinya, the crown prince asked.

The God of Destruction answers, ”It’s one hundred percent the doing of the Insect Race. Didn’t we already warn you before? The insect race of this era is different from how you remember it. If before all they can do is use their numbers against you and that the command of the Zerg Queen makes it harder to kill them all due to its fast regeneration then the insect race of this time is even more annoying.”

”Why would they be annoying, Masters?” Ye Caoyun asked.

This time the one who had answered is none other than the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness. He said, ”The insect race might have evolved this time. The ones attacking this time might only be scouts. The fact that no corpses were left behind meant one thing. The humans were taken away.”

”But Shizun, why would the insect race take them away?” Ye Qinya, the Crown Prince, asked.

The God of Destruction said, ”They might be using them as a sacrifice. That means the one leading the insect race at this moment is not the Zerg Queen as there are no big invasions happening. The Zerg Queen isn’t born yet, but a Zerg King might be born. The Zerg King is a rare existence in the insect race. It has a high commanding ability if a Zerg Queen whose main ability is production is born then... You will have to face an everlasting war against the insect race unless you kill the Zerg Queen and prevent their numbers from increasing.”

”Moreover, with a Zerg King it’s like the insect race had gotten a high commander commanding them. You need to take him out and kill the Zerg Queen before it is born or this universe will fall into a turmoil one wouldn’t be able to control,” said the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness.

The face of the crown prince turned serious when they heard about these assumptions. Even though there is no proof saying that the words of these two ancestors are real, there is no way they were just scaring them with words. In short, this is not simply a possibility anymore. It might be a fact that is entitled to happen in the future. Just thinking of this possibility no one, Ye Qinya and Ye Caoyun’s expressions didn’t look good as that would mean that great danger might befall in the empire.

”I might have to visit the palace after lunch. Yun’er, wait for me to pick you up after school,” Ye Qinya said with a smile.

It seems that the relationship between the two had gotten better especially after becoming a couple. Though they haven’t completed a permanent bond yet, the connection between the two has gotten better as they are a fated pair. Even without permanent bonding they are still able to resonate with their souls for better amplification of powers. The crown prince after eating lunch had bid his farewell to their two masters and left for the royal palace to report to the emperor what their ancestors had warned them about. The possibilities of Teacher Mo Anjing and Teacher Ye Xiajie are not just assumptions. It might be a premonition which shows one of the futures the empires might experience. The report was only so the empire can make more preparation just in case it thoroughly happens.

On the other hand, Ye Caoyun does not believe that his master’s words were simply assumptions on their part. God doesn’t just guess things, after all they can see through the future as they truly wanted. He as a former Highgod himself believed that the word of the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness were advance warning itself.

After casting a sound isolation barrier, Ye Caoyun asked, ”Master, do you know what caused the insect race to evolve in this world?”

Teacher Ye Xiajie and Teacher Mo Anjing didn’t react much after the sound isolation barrier was suddenly erected. It seems that Ye Caoyun had some question that he wanted to ask and it’s something the others cannot hear.

”Master, the insect race’s sudden evolution or mutation was manmade is it?” Ye Caoyun asked.

The God of Destruction smiles, ”Why do you think so?”

”Because a race like the insect race are usually constant and rarely enter high grade evolution where they gain individual intelligence. They would not do such things as kidnapping or capturing humans. Except for a few smart ones which mutated within their race, issuing this kind of command was something only can be done by an intelligent and unique individual,” Ye Caoyun paused his words for a moment and said, ”Usually this kind of mutation was caused by special individuals like gods.”
