I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2187: 25.77 Lone Black Star - Reality

Only when his master, the God of Destruction, had mentioned about the crown prince that Ye Caoyun started worrying about his sentinel after hearing his master’s words. How can Ye Qinya suddenly lose control? Lately, he has been the type of man that can hardly show any emotions, even the face he uses before the public is controlled and a fake smile that imitates his old self. When in reality, he had become a person that can hardly show any emotion on his face. Who would have thought that this person would suddenly lose reason just because he had heard that he, his guide, might never wake up in the future. If Ye Caoyun didn’t hear this news from his master, he wouldn’t believe it at all.

The God of Destruction said, ”Don’t look at how they were usually expressionless. My husband is the same as Ye Qinya. They look like they do not care much about anything in this world, a man that is especially heartless when in reality, once this kind of man has fallen in love, they are the most emotional.”

Suddenly, losing focus on over his control, the newly gained mental energy had almost made Ye Caoyun’s soul domain tremble, this time he can hardly stabilize this power and he is almost out of options. But once the control over this new power had been released, it would greatly affect his soul domain and might no longer wake up in reality anymore.

”Ugh~ This...! Master, save me!” Ye Caoyun said.

Seeing this scene, the God of Destruction sighed and grabbed his disciple’s shoulder with one hand and gathered the mental energy in his other hand. He had a look as if he had already expected this and felt that this is kind of a pain as well.

Hei Anjing said, ”Truly~ you brats need too much cuddling. Isn’t it just mental energy? It isn’t even divine energy, this kind of power should be more easy to subdue. Hah~”

It didn’t take long for a clear orb with the size of a bowling ball materialized in the hand of the God of Destruction, once this excess mental energy had been completely stripped from Ye Caoyun’s body, the pain in the young man’s body had slowly subsided.

Ye Caoyun looked all over himself and said, ”The pain is gone... That fierce mental energy is... also gone? How is this possible?”

”I’ve stripped it out of you. Here,” the God of Destruction had thrown the materialized crystal ball to Ye Caoyun and added, ”If you had absorbed it on your own, you could have become a demigod god at least. Now, a lot of energy has been wasted and you will need another opportunity to ascend to godhood in the future.”

Hei Anjing stood up and threw the fertilizers he had redeemed from the system mall around the world tree which the plant quantum beast had absorbed happily.

The God of Destruction said, ”Absorb the energy in that orb during your training. For now, come out with me. Your parents had been extremely worried about you. I’m leaving to find my husband.”

Finishing what he came to do, the God of Destruction had disappeared from the soul domain and when Ye Caoyun had woken up in reality, his parents while crying had hugged him within their embrace. If not for the ancestor, the First Empress, assuring them that Ye Caoyun would be able to wake up today, the duke and the duchess would have continued to feel their despair. The fear that dominates their hearts when they hear that Ye Caoyun might never wake up is something that is hard to move on from. That’s why they were so delighted seeing that their son had truly opened his eyes and was awake.

”Dad, Father, I am alright. Master had helped me,” Ye Caoyun said.

Duchess, Lord Mo said, ”The Ancestor had already informed us you would be waking up today. Thankfully, you had truly opened your eyes, Yun’er!”

”You have suffered so much son, don’t worry about the zergs. Father will handle it. Just leave that to me,” said Duke Ye Jie.

Ye Caoyun knew that his situation from before had almost scared them to death. That’s why he took his time trying to comfort them. Only when his parents stopped hugging him that Ye Caoyun had the time to look around and noticed that not only was his master not around, Ye Qinya had gone missing as well. He didn’t even know that the emperor was also here before he woke up and had to return to the palace and make preparations for the possible incoming invasion of the zerg race.

”Dad, Father, where are the Masters and Qinya?” Ye Caoyun asked.

The duchess answers, ”Your master had left saying that he had something to do. As for your fiance, he had been taken away by his master after he had lost control over himself.”

”Don’t worry. Since the ancestor had taken him away. He should be alright. For now, take your time and rest. The First Empress said that you will need to meditate everyday before your strength returns to its peak. Don’t worry about the Zergs. If they truly dare to come then... I will handle them myself!” The Grand Duke said.

Ye Caoyun finally recalled what he had seen in that remote resource planet and told everything to his father. Even though he is worried about Ye Qinya, he currently doesn’t know where he was taken by the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness. There is also the fact that his mental energy hasn’t been restored.

”Father, there is something I wanted to report. The one that I had seen on that resource planet and the thing that had attacked me causing me to suffer a mental backlash. It is definitely a royal-grade mutated zerg. It possessed a high grade of mental energy and most likely possessed a high physical strength as well. Maybe because there is too much human gene mixed with it, that the royal-grade zerg was as intelligent as a human. Father, it was too smart. You cannot treat it the same as the zergs you had fought against as before,” said Ye Caoyun.

As not only a Grand Duke but also a Great General that protects the empire, Lord Ye Jie instantly understood what his son was warning me about.

”You want to say that these mutated zerg are no different than humans? They can be sly, scheming and be full of tricks and what makes it worse is that they do not feel fear and they even use sacrifice to drag us down if necessary? Is this truly possible?” The Grand Duke felt things were a bit hard to accept.

After all, that is an insect race. A race that wasn’t born with the same intelligence as the humans. Moreover, as long as you kill the head of this race, one can easily defeat them in war and would retreat as long as they lost a leader. Now his son is telling him that this mutated zerg is no different from a human adult? Even though it was a bit hard to accept this possibility, he would never ignore the warning of his son who had made this judgement.

Ye Caoyun said, ”Father, actually I have found out the reason for the mutation of the insect race. An evil god had descended and wanted to control chaos to destroy not only our empire but the whole planet itself. My master said that this possibility is indeed right.”

”If even the ancestors believe this is right then... This might be the real reason why they had returned to our empire. If there is someone who can kill an evil god. It can only be done by our two ancestors.” Duchess Mo Jing said. ”Haven’t you and the emperor been investigating the reason why our ancestors had returned to the empire? An Evil God that wanted to destroy the empire is a good enough reason for them to come back home.”

For some reason, the Grand Duke had found this reason believable. Their ancestors had existed for a very long time. To consider them as Gods was only right. If there is truly an Evil God targeting their empire then, their ancestor’s return finally had found its reason.

Sigh~

”It’s no wonder that our ancestors had been teaching our empire how to fight the right way. The correct way for the sentinels to fight with their quantum beast, the full body transformation and the way to stabilize their control over their mental state. There is also a new healing technique that was taught to the guides. They way to maximize the effect of healing. How can a guide protect themselves and how can they fight on the battlefield? So everything is a preparation for this! They already know that the zerg race would mutate and if the empire remained as before, it wouldn’t be surprising that they might get exterminated by the insect race.”

Just thinking of this possibility made the grand duke turn all serious. What his son had told him must be reported to the emperor as soon as possible. Also, they can only wait for the crown prince to come back. It would be better if his state had returned to normal from that berserk state of his.
