Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The so-called Oath Takers were really just a product of Moka’s momentary obsession. He couldn’t imagine the significance and consequences of his speech today. When the resolution passed, Moka walked down from the podium amid the cheers of the crowd, appearing dignified on the surface, but inside, he was cursing to himself...

Because the same problem fell on him...

Money! Money! Money!

With such a large group of people, Moka couldn’t just power them with love...

But as they say, people move to live, trees move to die. After establishing the Oath Takers, Moka came up with a method, albeit unorthodox.

Thus, he led all the Oath Takers, making their way grandly to the main battlefield of District 7.

This was certainly not to break down the gates of the main battlefield...

...

The wind was boisterous, the air was quiet.

In front of the transmission portal, Moka once again met his deputy. This time, Moka took the initiative to approach. Due to his former prestige, the surrounding mutant creatures did not intercept Moka, and he walked right up to his old partner.

”Bastet, reconsider...”

Out of past friendship, Moka urged Bastet, but all he got in response was the disdainful look of a lion.

”You coward, traitor... I disdain to associate with you!”

The words were resolute. Hearing these, Moka did not offer any rebuttal, he simply nodded and then returned to his team.

Ahead, the assault army led by Bastet was marching in an orderly fashion into the transmission portal, with murderous intent on their faces, their eyes flashing with fanaticism, but their passion was ignited in the wrong place.

Moka’s subordinates were still reluctant, a professionist turned to Moka.

”Boss, what should we do?”

Moka only let out a long sigh.

”We will watch them walk towards death...”

...

Indeed, towards death.

Moka had already guessed the script thoroughly—Bastet and his group would charge to the edge of the main battlefield, then be intercepted by the well-prepared Soul Puppet Legion and those belonging to Yanjing. No, perhaps those belonging to Yanjing might hesitate to attack Bastet’s group, but the Soul Puppets alone were enough.

They might care about past friendship... but the creator’s orders were undoubtedly more important to them!

Moka couldn’t forget the Corpse Puppets that dominated the main battlefield, nor could he forget the once-threatening Thundercloud.

That power, Bastet couldn’t resist.

When Bastet finally stepped into the transmission portal, Moka started calculating the time. After an hour passed, Moka then spoke to his people: ”Wait here for me, I’ll be back soon.”

All Oath Takers entering the main battlefield, especially at this time when the battle might have just ended, could very well cause unnecessary misunderstandings. Moka was meticulous in his thoughts; this time, he chose to meet Fang Bai himself... or perhaps Lin Haifeng. In the best case, he could meet Wen Yu.

Yes, this time Moka was preparing to ”switch sides”... No, it couldn’t be said as switching sides, he just wanted to plead with these high and mighty figures, to see if they could spare him and his people a way to survive.

So, he stepped over the transmission portal, looked forward, and in an instant, tears welled up in his eyes.

...

Time rewinds to an hour earlier.

When Bastet walked into the transmission portal, what appeared before him was the magnificent male fortress of the District 7 Outpost Base in Yanjing!

Once, this was their battlefield, and now, it remains their battlefield.

The only change is the stance...

At this moment, Bastet indeed had a moment of wavering, gazing at the place where he once bled and fought, even briefly thinking, ”Did Mother Earth make a wrong decision?” However, this thought came quickly and left quickly. Bastet shook his large head vigorously, shaking the thought out of his mind.

”Mother Earth’s decisions are never wrong! The mistake is Yanjing! And those once-comrades!”

So he shouted loudly: ”Prepare for battle!”

The next moment, millions of beasts roared!

...

The wild roar of the beasts was earth-shattering, the soundwaves swept through, and Fang Bai and the Corpse Puppet inside the city naturally heard it crystal clear!

At this moment, Fang Bai was having a video call with Lin Haifeng, discussing the various big and small events that happened in the past several hours. When the sound came, both Fang Bai and Lin Haifeng’s faces turned pale...

”It’s over...”

Fang Bai muttered as he collapsed onto the chair, his eyes vacant, while Lin Haifeng let out a long sigh, his shoulders slumping, at this moment, Lin Haifeng seemed to have aged ten years in an instant...

”Go have a look... see if there’s still any room for redemption in all this...”

Upon hearing this, Fang Bai looked up. He was about to end the video call, but saw Lin Haifeng wave his hand.

”No need to turn it off, let me see too.”

With just those simple words, Fang Bai gave up on closing the communication. He opened the window and leaped out. Yet in mid-air, he already saw that familiar figure slicing through the sky like light!

Behind him, airflows began to stir, and then slowly became profound.

...

The massacre unfolded in an instant!

The threat of the Demigod was vivid in sight!

”Mutant creatures crazed by hunger will be driven by me to the main battlefield” - this promise, the Demigod had fulfilled - although the attacking beast horde hadn’t gone mad from hunger, from a certain perspective, they were no different from a group of hungry madmen.

Thus, the strategy was simple and clear—Wen Yu’s order was to kill all living beings that came to attack the main battlefield! This naturally included mutant creatures.

And the Corpse Puppets executed Wen Yu’s command almost perfectly!

Bastet only saw a flash of light sweep abruptly in front of him, then a sudden pain in his body, and in the next second, he witnessed his headless body running forward a few steps due to inertia, before collapsing to the ground...

The speed of the Corpse Puppets was too fast!

Before Bastet’s consciousness faded, he witnessed a shockwave erupt in the middle of his ranks, like a nuclear explosion’s blast wave flipped a large batch of mutant beasts, and before they touched the ground, they were torn into pieces by the intense air pressure!

The power of the Corpse Puppets wasn’t something these mutant beasts could withstand.

With a ”thud,” Bastet’s head fell to the ground, for him, this was the eternal end, but for his troops, this was just the beginning of a catastrophe!

When the Corpse Puppets slaughtered nearly a tenth of the beast horde in three seconds, the raging Thundercloud struck in an instant, at this moment, the sky seemed covered by lightning, pouring down in a wide range, with high-power ferocity instantly striking numerous mutant beasts into charred remains!

The Corpse Puppets excelled in single-point combat, while the Cloud Puppets excelled in slaughter!

So when Fang Bai flew to the city wall, what he saw was a massacre game already nearing its end...
