Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Although Wen Yu was nominally the master of the tiered battle ground, the teleportation channels of the tiered battle ground really weren’t within Wen Yu’s Manipulate.

The teleportation channels between mainland blocs are beyond Control, existing since ancient times; they’re not something Wen Yu can shut down just because he wants to. And the only channel connecting Earth and the tiered battle ground—the main teleportation channel located in the capital city of the tiered battle ground—also belongs to the category of constant teleportation channels, which can’t be closed by any means.

But even if it can’t be closed, Wen Yu can still seal it off.

As soon as Victor and Cyclops both left, Wen Yu immediately issued the order, commanding Mountain Kui to block the main teleportation channel and forbid passage to anyone under the Demigod’s banner.

It wasn’t to stop the Demigod from mobilizing reinforcements from the outside—after more than ten years of migration, the tiered battle ground had become the main development area for all factions. Although the Demigod had always holed up on Earth, most of the mutant beasts and professionists under his command stayed in the tiered battle ground. Even Moka, who’d been booted out of the main battle zone, was only temporarily staying in some sub-base in Washington, lying around as a useless salted fish, rather than returning to Earth.

The Demigod’s everyday Manipulate was just remote command from Earth.

No matter how badass Wen Yu was, he couldn’t seal off the tiered battle ground’s communication and sound transmission. This time, Wen Yu’s decision wasn’t about cutting off the Demigod’s reinforcements at all...

By sealing the main teleportation channel, from this moment on, whether that bunch under the Demigod can get in is irrelevant; what matters is that Wen Yu is making damn sure they can never get out!

If he wants a war, fine—then we fight to the death! All the forces you left stationed in the tiered battle ground, this time I’m going to rip them out, roots and all! None of you are getting away!

Close the door and beat the dogs. Nothing more, nothing less!

...

The instant the Demigod’s negotiation with Wen Yu collapsed, he had already sensed things veering onto some unforeseeable track. For a brief moment, the Demigod hesitated inside, felt a flicker of unease—this mess was getting way too big, very likely to trigger some consequences beyond anyone’s Control. At the same time, the Demigod also started doubting Earth’s will and its decisions.

Between the lines of Earth’s will, there wasn’t the slightest sign of caring about the Level Lock or about Earth’s native lifeforms. Although the Demigod already knew Earth’s will had been twisted, he’d never imagined it would degrade to this extent!

But thinking of the future path he’d laid out for himself, the Demigod could only sigh softly, then harden his resolve and follow Earth’s will’s decisions to the death.

Wen Yu was trying to Promote to Level 11 to survive, and the Demigod was sticking to Earth’s will also for the sake of Promotion to Level 11, also for survival! Maybe to the ignorant bottom rung, there seem to be many choices in this world—but the higher you climb, the more you know, the more clearly you understand how harsh and cruel this era is.

There’s no real choice. If you want to stay alive, besides promoting to Level 11, there’s basically no other option...

From a certain angle, the Demigod was even worse off than Wen Yu. Wen Yu could at least go crazy once, but the Demigod could only obey the decisions handed down from above.

He was no different from those warriors kicked off the front-line battle field...

And Wen Yu did not let the Demigod ”down.”

When the Demigod calmed himself and finished reviewing a document, his communicator suddenly rang.

From within came the panicked, frantic voice of a clansman from the Sea King Tribe.

”My Lord... save me... My Lord!!!”

The voice faded, but the screams and explosions coming through only grew more intense, until everything fell silent...

”Oh? There’s still a communicator here... Hey, hey, hey? Anyone there?”

A mocking tone mixed with a kind of dog-like barking came through. The Demigod fell silent, wordless; after a long moment, he quietly hung up the comm device.

In just a few minutes, one of his direct forces—the Mainland Bloc Number 0182 in Area Three, the third stronghold of the Sea King Tribe—had completely lost contact.

As for the outcome, the Demigod already had his answer...

...

Mainland Bloc Number 0182 in Area Three was roughly the size of Australia, with land occupying twenty percent and the ocean taking up the remaining eighty percent.

The vast marine resources had made this one of the fertile grounds for the Sea Clan to breed and thrive. Moreover, because this place was located behind the main battle zone, its geography was relatively safe, so the Demigod designated it as one of the breeding grounds for the Sea King Tribe.

In other words, countless members of the Sea King Tribe and their subordinate forces lived here. After long-term running-in and assimilation, this place had become one of the Demigod’s direct power bases—in the eyes of the new generation of Sea Clan here, Lord Demigod and His Majesty the Sea King were basically of equal status.

To the Demigod, this place mattered. Which is why today, it became the first slaughter target under Wen Yu’s raised butcher’s blade!

On ordinary days, Mainland Bloc Number 0182 in Area Three was picturesque; countless Sea Clan fish leaped from the sea surface, playing and frolicking, completely unaware that their time was up!

When the blue sky suddenly turned pitch-black, calamity crashed down like thunder, too fast to react!

Black flames filled the sky, pouring down from above, vast and overwhelming like an apocalypse. Cyclops hid behind that boundless black fire, both eyes cold, gleaming with a brutal, tyrannical glare.

Beside him, Victor felt a faint twinge of pity... so he didn’t make a move. But that didn’t change a damn thing!

Gigantic black fireballs, nearly ten meters in diameter, rained down madly. They slammed into the sea, whipping up waves, boiling away seawater. In an instant, the ocean heated up, water vapor surged; from the Void above, the entire Mainland Bloc Number 0182 looked as if it had become shrouded in mist.

The breathtakingly beautiful scene, in truth, signaled boundless destruction and catastrophe!

As the ocean’s temperature rose, countless small fish and shrimp that had yet to mutate were steamed through alive in the first instant. Dense masses of corpses floated up from the sea, only to be vaporized into steam by the ensuing Flames of Tyranny. The brutal massacre exploded in a single moment, and in the next, it surged straight into a frenzy!

With the waves surging, dozens of Sea King Tribe clansmen covered in light-blue scales roared as they burst out of the ocean, trying to launch a desperate charge at the mastermind behind all this. But halfway there, an even denser fire rain poured down and snuffed them out. Their butchered remains fell together with the fire rain, crashing into the already boiling seawater.

The whole process lasted about ten minutes.

When everything finally calmed, the once-boundless ocean had shrunk into a low, shallow lake, its waters choked with charred remains. Mainland Bloc Number 0182 in Area Three, which had once been eighty percent sea, now had water resources totaling less than one-tenth of the entire landmass!

When the curtain finally fell, an even more vicious gleam flickered in Cyclops’s eyes. He twitched his nose, sorting out the lingering scents in the air, then shot downward. He tore open a mound of corpses and, before long, dug out a large patch of half-charred egg-like objects from the pile.
