Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Hoo~~~”

”Hoo~~~”

The Demigod deeply inhaled twice to calm his turbulent heart.

Frustration solves nothing, only calmness can find a way to break the situation—on this point, the Demigod was very similar to his old man.

”If bringing Wen Yu back and taking Tang Haofei away is the premise, then the first question I should consider is...”

”Why did Wen Yu make a move against Tang Haofei?”

Layer by layer analysis, gradually approaching the truth, is a very effective way of thinking.

The Demigod’s mind worked quickly, after all, the genes were there. He just thought simply, connecting everything that had happened before, and the question had the best answer.

”The cost of power... Tang Haofei was backfired by the cost of power.”

It was precisely because of the cost of power that the Demigod was able to return from the petri dish and replace Tang Haofei’s position. The Demigod was not unfamiliar with the cost of power—although he didn’t know about the appearance of Tang Three, Tang Four, or even Tang N, he still understood that Tang Haofei himself had issues.

Of course, this was just one of the most likely speculations. Perhaps Wen Yu had obtained some higher-level intelligence, and upon returning, directly eliminated Tang Haofei. Perhaps the two of them fell out into a fight over some unresolved issue. These possibilities all existed, but comparatively speaking, the Demigod felt that the likelihood of Tang Haofei being backfired by the cost of power was the greatest.

”Then the second point, where exactly did Tang Haofei go... Hmm, he might be dead, or maybe taken away by Wen Yu. If Wen Yu took him, then the place he should be now is undoubtedly the main city of the tiered battleground.”

In the battle between them, the Demigod utterly overwhelmed Wen Yu for victory. Based on this result, Tang Haofei was very likely killed by Wen Yu with no remains—if this happened, it would actually be beneficial for the Demigod. However, this possibility is not great, the biggest possibility being that Wen Yu took Tang Haofei back to the main city of the tiered battleground.

”Then consider the third question... the current relationship between Tang Haofei and Wen Yu...”

Regarding whether Tang Haofei and Wen Yu are now friends or enemies—if they are friends, under their mutual influence, the Demigod basically has no chance of pulling Tang Haofei into his camp, nor even getting Tang Haofei to remain neutral would be a luxury. After all, the relationship between the two and Yanjing was quite complex; the Demigod had confidence in persuading Tang Haofei but not Wen Yu. But if the two are enemies...

Then there would be a lot of room for maneuver!

Hmm, this question is quite hard to guess. In fact, the Demigod thinking through the first two questions so thoroughly already makes him a smart person. He doesn’t know about the emergence of Tang Three, Tang Four, etc., doesn’t know the nature of the cost of power, and doesn’t know if Wen Yu has the ability to completely solve the cost of power. Therefore, the third problem the Demigod considered couldn’t possibly have a definitive answer, no matter how much he thought about it.

Thus, this question returns to the starting point—he still needs to find Tang Haofei to probe his stance.

”The fourth question, will Wen Yu’s return affect my plan...”

The Demigod suddenly went through the entire plan process from beginning to end, and he suddenly discovered that Wen Yu’s return wouldn’t cause too much interference with the plan!

”The Dominator is hunting Wen Yu, I don’t know what means Wen Yu used to evade the Dominator’s surveillance and positioning, but Wen Yu will definitely not be able to blatantly appear before the world. In other words, even if he returned to Earth, he can only live incognito for a lifetime! I want to kill Lin Haifeng, I want to topple Yanjing, even if Wen Yu doesn’t want to, he can’t openly intervene. At most, he can dispatch a Soul Puppet to cause some interference, but I have contingency methods for this too, so...”

Thinking of this, the Demigod’s eyes suddenly lit up!

Indeed, Wen Yu will not become a hindrance to the implementation of the plan!

”So for me, the most critical point now is still finding Tang Haofei. If Tang Haofei can’t remain neutral, the plan will be temporarily shelved. Even if Lin Haifeng dies and Tang Haofei steps in, under Tang Haofei’s personal strength, Yanjing will still be united as one. In this case, merely taking out Lin Haifeng won’t have any meaning, but once Tang Haofei is persuaded, the entire plan won’t need any changes.”

What the Demigod thought about... heavily involved conjecture and was quite idealistic, but in a strict sense, there weren’t any major omissions. Intelligence is crucial, but unfortunately, intelligence on Wen Yu and Tang Haofei is truly hard to come by...

In fact, the Demigod hadn’t guessed that the current Tang Haofei is just a useless person; if he knew this fact, the Demigod’s plan for upheaval would definitely erupt immediately, and he would achieve quite good results.

But precisely because of not knowing, this allowed for the Demigod’s speculation, thereby wasting the best timing to carry out the plan.

...

After figuring these out, the Demigod instead was no longer anxious.

Indeed, Wen Yu is a trouble, a variable, but with the Dominator above, and Earth’s will as his backing, judging by Wen Yu’s character, he’s unlikely to risk perishing to contribute to Yanjing.

In other words, the entire plan hasn’t changed at all...

Thinking of this, the Demigod took out a communicator, dialed a certain number, and as the communicator was connected, he quickly issued an order.

”Activate the spies in the main city of the tiered battleground, find Tang Haofei’s whereabouts for me.”

”Yes, my lord.”

Replied the voice on the other end of the communicator, and then the communicator was hung up, the face under the Demigod’s mask showing a smile once more. He stood there thinking for another moment, then turned and returned into the restaurant.

”Did something happen?”

A pleasant female voice sounded, but the Demigod just shook his head.

”Nothing.”

...

”Tzzla~”

Accompanied by the sound of flesh tearing, this sparring session came to an end, and the result...

The Corpse Puppet had a complete victory!

Standing outside the Virtual Arena, Wen Yu couldn’t help but be slightly in awe of the power displayed by the Corpse Puppet, as it effortlessly took all of Lin Que and Fang Yuqiong’s attacks, ending the battle within three minutes despite their joint offensive.

It was as easy as a father beating his son.

Although the strength Lin Que and Fang Yuqiong displayed was indeed impressive, the Corpse Puppet was stronger. From the spar, with just a brief observation, Wen Yu discovered the Corpse Puppet had mastered at least dozens of traits similar to skills.

Ignoring defenses, reflecting attacks, super agility, a steel body.

In short, the Corpse Puppet doesn’t perform any energy attacks; it only relies on its incredibly strong body to launch offensives and defenses, and just like this, it rendered Lin Que and Fang Yuqiong utterly lost.

In terms of fighting capability, the ’childless’ Corpse Puppet is indeed the strongest among Wen Yu’s Soul Puppets.
