Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The Demigod left, breaking off his mental connection with Shadow, and returned to his mansion in Paris.

Alone in the room, only in this quiet atmosphere could the Demigod carefully contemplate everything he had just gained.

”Shadow, stay by Tang Haofei’s side for support, and be cautious.”

The first command was clearly to leave a spy by Tang Haofei’s side, and as for the second one... concerning the overthrow plan...

This plan had encountered a new variable—the timing of its initiation.

Originally, with Shadow having detected that Tang Haofei was already disabled, the plan was to be launched immediately, to quickly kill Lin Haifeng, overthrow Yanjing, and from then on, place all of the world under his control. However, after conversing with Tang Haofei, the Demigod felt the need to delay the overthrow plan...

In the minds of the Demigod and even Earth’s will, whether Yanjing was more important than Tang Haofei and Wen Yu... No apologies, but not really, and at this moment, the Demigod saw an opportunity to accomplish the ultimate goal he had set up after releasing Tang Haofei over a decade ago—pitting two tigers against each other, an opportunity the Demigod felt was not to be missed.

Yanjing could just wait there, but dealing with Wen Yu and Tang Haofei... this was truly a rare opportunity.

Of course, this was just the Demigod’s personal thought; the actual execution way still needed to be reported to his superior.

...

Still entering the Earth’s nucleus through the passage guarded by Ling’s Place, still sent off by Carmille, the relationship between the two had rapidly warmed up over these months, and the Demigod even felt he might start preparing for a wedding ceremony...

Cutting out idle talk, when the Demigod walked into the Earth’s nucleus and met Earth’s will, he immediately reported the whole story to Earth’s will, who, after a short silence upon hearing the Demigod’s report, provided an answer.

”First, save Tang Haofei!”

Nothing surprised the Demigod, who just nodded and then asked a question.

”How should he be saved?”

Earth’s will was silent for a while, then spoke again.

”In three days, come back to me, and I’ll give you the tool to kill Tang Haofei.”

The Demigod nodded his understanding, then turned away and left.

After the Demigod left, Earth’s will communicated overhead.

”Actually, I think we should start the overthrow plan now; you know I’ve been impatient for a long time...”

”No rush!”

The voice drifted into the ear of Earth’s will.

”By comparison, Wen Yu and Tang Haofei are more troublesome, and you might not know the cost of this power...”

”Oh? You know?”

”Of course, I know! This thing is the bane that ruined me!”

The Demon Spirit spoke with gritted teeth, mentioning it briefly and then changing the subject.

”Without eliminating Wen Yu, even if Yanjing is destroyed it’s only temporary, as long as he sends his soul pet to block the main battleground’s Demon Realm’s Gate, the progress of the Level Lock will still be slow, but the cost of this power... hehehe... trust me, this Tang Haofei will undoubtedly bring you an unexpected surprise!”

So said the Demon Spirit.

”Moreover, preparations for the overthrow plan can also begin; dealing with Yanjing isn’t urgent, but leaving it be is a nuisance. That Lin Haifeng’s ability is really good, and once this is done, get rid of him early to prevent more trouble!”

The two plans aren’t going to conflict, instead complementing each other, and Earth’s will felt the Demigod had done excellently this time.

”So, how exactly do we kill Tang Haofei?”

Previously, Earth’s will had promised three days, which was a guide from the Demon Spirit, and now naturally it had to be settled by the Demon Spirit.

”I’ll teach you a trick about a variant application of Origin Energy, exclusive to Level 12...”

...

Three days later, as promised, the Demigod arrived at the origin of the Earth’s nucleus, where Earth’s will gave him five so-called tools that couldn’t exactly be called tools.

They were five orbs of light, roughly the size of a pinky finger, filled with abundant yet chaotic Origin Energy, and there were no skill descriptions associated with them.

While the Demigod was puzzled about how to use them, Earth’s will provided the answer.

”Have Tang Haofei swallow it, and then with a bang... no one can withstand the internal explosion of this thing.”

As for the number... since Tang Haofei said one might not be enough, then try all five times. There might be risks, but Earth’s will still trusted the Demigod’s capability, and the Demigod, in turn, could only trust Shadow’s methods.

The Demigod nodded, then left. Back at his stronghold, he personally handed the small orbs of light to his trusted associate, along with five different resurrection tools, then ordered his associate to deliver them to the main city of the tiered battleground.

The Demigod feared that Tang Haofei had exhausted his Life and Death Battle Execution’s charges (which indeed was the case), so these five resurrection tools served as a guarantee to ensure the plan’s success. But if Tang Haofei died having lost his resurrection ability, it would be quite an embarrassing situation...

The transportation process went smoothly without any waves; during that time, the Shadow Puppet left by infiltrating the mansion in the same way, obtaining the orbs from the spy, and then waited until dinner time to similarly infiltrate Tang Haofei’s room.

The whole process could be described as thrilling but free of danger!

Only after the Attendant left did the Shadow Puppet slowly move to Tang Haofei’s side and then spoke.

”Are you ready?”

”That question should be for you! The methods you’re employing better not fail to kill me! You must know, this can only be completed once—if Wen Yu becomes suspicious, not only will I die, but you and your master will also be implicated!”

”Of course, I know.” Shadow said, after which the shadow rippled, and a space ring was quietly slipped onto Tang Haofei’s finger!

The friction sound between the ring and the finger was very faint... faint enough to be covered by the sound of breathing, yet just as the sound rose within three seconds, there was a knock at the door!

”Sir, do you need any assistance?”

With a ’creak’, the door hinge opened, and the Soul Puppet, always on alert outside, was dumbfounded by Tang Haofei’s position.

A strange, dark creature was holding a small orb tightly and cleanly stuffed it into Tang Haofei’s mouth, followed by a loud popping noise from within Tang Haofei!

Old Tang strained to turn his head and then gave a grim smile to the Soul Puppet entering the room...

”Sorry, I had no choice either.”

Resentment... murderous intent...

To Tang Two, none of these were present; he bore no grudge against Wen Yu, nor against those attending to him or even the Soul Puppet supervising him...

No one was wrong, everything was just being forced to fight back.

The explosion noise peaked in the next second, and with a ”bang,” Tang Haofei’s body burst apart, the scattered blood instantly dyeing the room a crimson red!

He died...
