Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

A faint voice came from the communicator. Lin Haifeng’s breath caught as he listened to Wen Yu’s words, and after a long pause, he asked incredulously.

”Are you crazy?”

”Crazy? No, no, no, I’m not crazy! The Demigod makes a move, all right, I’ll follow it. It’s just a matter of who is more ruthless. Actually, I should thank you. If you hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have realized my Soul Puppet Legion was performing so exceptionally! You see, in the main battlefield, my Soul Puppet Legion is in an absolutely dominant position. You might not be quite aware of the terror of the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill, but if I so desire, in just a few years, I can produce an equal number of Soul Puppets for you. In this way, my Soul Puppet Legion alone is enough to resist the Demon Tribe’s army. So, what use do I have for those mutant beasts and those Demigod-affiliated professionists?”

Wen Yu spoke these words through the communicator, grinding his teeth with anger!

The Demigod did not know what kind of character Tang Haofei was, and recklessly let Tang N out. Fine, the first to suffer misfortune was the Demigod, losing his wife and children!

Yet the matter is far from over. At least, this time, the Demigod has thoroughly offended Wen Yu.

Can’t you hide? Do you not have the home-field advantage? Sorry, I have it too! The tiered battle ground is my territory! I may not be able to catch you, but as your influence has grown so large, do your subordinates need to get stronger? Does your influence need to expand?

It does, right? Then you need territory! That tiny bit of land on Earth is not enough for the numerous mutant creatures to inhabit.

You also need a battlefield; killing the Demon Tribe allows your warriors to grow stronger. Killing the Demon Tribe enables your Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill to absorb a large amount of Creation Energy. Now, if I seal the tiered battleground, I wonder where you’ll find the Demon Tribe!

Wen Yu doesn’t believe that under such high-pressure blockade, the Demigod’s forces can still maintain strong cohesion. If they want to grow stronger, they only have one path—to join Yanjing. The strengths and weaknesses of the two forces will reverse in a short time. By then, even with Earth’s will as a backing, the Demigod will have to hide in some corner like a turtle!

If this move doesn’t drive the Demigod into a frenzy, Wen Yu would write his name backward!

However, this method... is indeed somewhat insidious. Once Wen Yu does it, we won’t discuss whether the Demigod’s forces will suffer severe damage, but certainly, the potential for Earth’s side to wage war will be greatly diminished. But who cares? Certainly not Wen Yu.

He hasn’t valued those numerous professionists and mutant beasts anyway!

But if this plan is to be accomplished, it will surely be time-consuming and labor-intensive, along with other factors. The best scenario is for the Yanjing Organization to act this time.

”I refuse!”

Lin Haifeng, however, quickly and cleanly gave his response.

...

Wen Yu knows what Lin Haifeng is concerned about. Once Wen Yu does it, the Demigod’s forces are sure to suffer heavy damage. However, looking at the overall situation, the tiered battlefield will certainly be the first to fall into chaos—the effort it took for the initial All Races relocation is something Wen Yu knows well. They are all here now, yet you want them to leave with just one sentence?

It’s like a forced demolition, but the nature of this matter is certainly much more severe than forced demolition, with bloody conflict being inevitable. As for how many people will die, Wen Yu cannot calculate, but it certainly won’t be a small number.

Though Lin Haifeng may seem to have deep thoughts on the surface, surveying his actions since the apocalypse, all have been for the entire world. Wen Yu’s plan, while seemingly effective, will produce severe consequences. Lin Haifeng has anticipated that.

The overall loss won’t be less than the Yanjing overthrow plan—it’s just a change of nature.

The resulting loss, from Yanjing, will switch to thousands of mutant beasts and humans. Well, it would also provide Wen Yu with some revenge... and that’s all.

”The damage won’t be too great; at most, a few mutant creature tribes will be wiped out. I believe they will understand my resolve, but you’re the one who stands to gain, you know? Just think, if I seal the tiered battleground, anyone wanting to enter the main battlefield must first join Yanjing. This way, your forces will develop and grow rapidly. I don’t truly believe the Demigod’s followers can match the allure of vested interests.”

”It’s still impossible; the problem doesn’t lie in your thinking.”

Lin Haifeng sighed and said, ”Since you’ve detected the Yanjing overthrow plan, the Demigod no longer has a chance to succeed. To be honest, you don’t know how pressured the front lines have been these years. The mutant beasts and professionists not aligned with Yanjing have contributed greatly. Perhaps the fault lies with the Demigod, but the Demigod’s subordinates, other super gathering spots, Independents, and those mutant creature tribes—they haven’t done anything wrong. I just don’t think you should direct your anger toward them, that’s all.”

Lin Haifeng’s words made Wen Yu roll his eyes.

Well, strictly speaking, the plan has an air of retribution in its purpose, but in Wen Yu’s view, using this strategy of cutting off supplies to deal with the likes of the Demigod is truly the best option.

Of course, Wen Yu himself could carry it out, but without the link between Yanjing and the professionists, mutant creatures, and using Soul Puppets unilaterally to evict people, it would be equivalent to slow suicide.

The plan’s premise is to give the evicted professionists or mutant beasts a hope—this hope is Yanjing. Joining Yanjing allows them to stay, not joining means being kicked out of the tiered battleground. With choice, there is an escape route. This way, the plan won’t devolve into Wen Yu’s Soul Puppet Legion versus the Anti-Demolition Organization’s chaos!

”Tch, then offer a suggestion.”

Hearing Wen Yu’s softer tone, Lin Haifeng thought for a moment and offered his advice.

”Actually, your plan can proceed... but only partially.”

”We don’t need to be so absolute, we don’t need to expel all mutant beast tribes and gathering places under the Demigod from the tiered battleground, we only need to ensure control in the main battlefield is adequate.”

”Consider this: you and I join forces, limit the number of admissions to the main battlefield, your Soul Puppets and our Yanjing army can enter the main battlefield unconditionally, forces affiliated with the Demigod can enter conditionally while forces directly under the Demigod are completely restricted from entering. If there are objections, then it will be up to you to discipline those disobedient ones.”

”I’ll send the Cloud Puppets for this task!”

The Cloud Puppets Wen Yu referred to are the clan leader of the Cloud Puppet tribe, Wen Yu’s first Cloud Puppet. These years, the Cloud Puppets have been concealed in Eternal Sky City, and now, there’s no longer a need for Cloud Puppets to remain there.

As for whether the Cloud Puppets have the strength to handle these issues, Wen Yu is entirely confident.
