Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Silence, complete silence...

The moment the Demigod spoke, the three-party talks immediately plunged into a deathly silence.

After a while, Lin Haifeng finally spoke.

”Demigod... did the Earth Will agree to the decision you made...”

”Hehe, guess?”

Everything was left unsaid, and this time, it was Lin Haifeng’s turn to be troubled.

He couldn’t fathom why the Earth Will would support such a self-destructive decision by the Demigod, but that didn’t stop him from realizing that this was a troublesome matter.

Thus, he turned to Wen Yu and said, ”I think...”

”You think we should lift the ban and slap our own faces, right?”

Wen Yu’s tone grew more somber.

”You think this is for the greater good, don’t you?”

”You think we should swallow back the shit we pulled out, right?”

Lin Haifeng really wanted to say yes! Because he knew the best way to handle this matter...

Is compromise...

But compromise would only lead to a second compromise, and Wen Yu knew this well.

So Wen Yu calmly spoke.

”Actually, I initially wanted to drive all your forces out of the tiered battle ground, but Lin Haifeng stopped me. It is only now I realize that my decision back then was the correct one...”

”To be honest, I didn’t expect the Earth Will to make such a decision and have such an extreme reaction. However, it doesn’t matter now; this instead allows me to gauge the current stance of the Earth Will... Actually, I have no reason to be mad at you, because you are just a puppet. Your level is too low; talking too much with you is a waste of breath!”

”Now, remember my words, and convey them to your master word for word!”

”He doesn’t care about when the Level Lock breaks, and neither do I; on the contrary, I actually think the progress of the Level Lock is too slow! Didn’t he defect to the Demon Spirit? Tell him, if he wants to go with the Demon Spirit, not a chance! The moment the Level 10 Level Lock breaks, I’ll be sure to appear before him, and that will be his death day! He doesn’t care about the life and death of this world, and I care even less. Isn’t it just about who’s more ruthless? Come on, I accept this game!”

”And you, Demigod, from today on, you’ll understand the cost of angering me! Don’t you want to drive the mutant beasts to the tiered battle ground? Then come on, you want to see if I can slaughter them all, I am even more eager to find out if they are afraid of death!”

”Let’s see who is more ruthless!”

”Click...”

Wen Yu hung up the communicator, and Lin Haifeng wanted to persuade the Demigod a bit more, but unexpectedly, the Demigod also neatly terminated the communicator.

Leaving only Lin Haifeng sitting alone in the office, his eyes vacant as he stared at the ceiling. After a long silence, he shivered heavily...

This day, things changed...

...

”Prepare for war!”

Wen Yu’s eyes flashed with a cold light that even made Cyclops and Victor pause.

At the same time, the four words ”prepare for war” instantly spread through the spiritual connection to every corner of the tiered battle ground. Countless soul puppets hidden across various parts of the ground suddenly looked up, seemingly sensing Wen Yu’s resolution.

The Earth Will was the first to betray this world... so what does Wen Yu have left to worry about? Just like he said himself, isn’t it just about who is more ruthless! All along, Wen Yu had wanted to preserve the strength of the entire world, to seek a sliver of survival in this war between two worlds... But when the very object he wanted to save had betrayed him... then what is the point of any of this?

There’s no point at all...

When he finally let go of all this, Wen Yu immediately felt a sense of relief.

Defending against the demon plague? It’s unnecessary now... The Earth Will betrayed first, with him and the Demigod leading the traitors centered on mutant beasts causing chaos, this line of defense is not tenable no matter what! Wen Yu, who had been in the Demon Realm for over three years, knew well how strong the Demon Tribe was. To say the harsh words, why was Wen Yu in such a rush to become a Level 11 powerful expert? Wasn’t it to avoid being forced to perish with Earth after its destruction?

Even when everyone is united, victory is very difficult, and now that the Earth Will has betrayed first, well then, not even this planet stands on his side, what does he have to fight with? Love?

Don’t kid yourself...

Everything needs to adhere to basic logic...

The Earth Will has betrayed, the Demigod standing muddle-headedly on the side of the Earth Will with a gang of mutant beasts, while outside, Tang Haofei is roaming around globally, not knowing when he might be ignited. All these matters crashing down at once thoroughly extinguished Wen Yu’s spirit.

Damn it, with no one thinking it through, why should I worry or waste my energy on them! You Demigod want to start a war, fine, I accept!

Everyone fights to a standstill, directly breaking through the heavens! When the Level 10 Level Lock breaks, I will immediately sacrifice the Earth Will, and after promoting to Level 11, hide in the Demon Realm, and then where couldn’t I go with the vast universe? Is there a need to stay here and endure this suffocating tension from you all!

Once these thoughts became clear, Wen Yu immediately felt his mood brighten...

Upon further contemplation, well, Tang N doesn’t matter anymore either—do what you want, as long as you don’t bother me, then why would I care about how messy you become, and Demigod, damn, dare to threaten me, if I don’t make you shit this time, I’ll take your surname!

Just at this moment, Wen Yu’s communicator suddenly rang, and he answered immediately, hearing Lin Haifeng’s voice.

”Wen Yu, calm down a bit...”

”Crack...”

The communicator was instantly crushed by Wen Yu, who recalled previously collected intelligence about the Demigod’s forces from Mountain Kui. After a long while, Wen Yu finally opened his eyes.

”Cyclops, Victor... in Region 0182 Mainland Bloc, there resides a large number of the Sea Clan, they are the Demigod’s direct forces, eliminate them!”

With those simple words, Cyclops and Victor stood up abruptly. They looked into Wen Yu’s resolute eyes for a while, and finally nodded.

”Understood...”

Regarding the deeds of the Demon Spirit, Wen Yu had shared them with his soul pets. In fact, the soul pets knew most of what Wen Yu knew, and previously, they didn’t want to change their race, nor abandon their mother star that birthed and nurtured them...

But today’s call was truly heartbreaking!

It not only forced Wen Yu to make the ultimate choice but also drove Wen Yu’s soul pets to a corner with no retreat! Before them now was only one road left.

Follow the boss all the way into the abyss!

Whether it leads to world destruction or a clean retreat, from now on, even Victor, who was once most loyal to the Earth Will, made the choice he ought to make.

If you are unkind, then don’t blame me for being unrighteous!
