Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 419: Chapter 39: Declaration of War (You can call me Brother Ma, rewarded with an additional 50,000, 1 out of 5)_1

”The correct answer is 587,985 people. However, I forgive you, truly. Some people have been obliterated, and there are many unrecorded civilians, so it’s quite understandable that your calculations were incorrect, quite understandable!

”But, Commander Lin, I would now like to ask you a question. After committing such atrocities, are you still willing to cooperate with me?”

Lin Haifeng squinted, an enigmatic smile gracing his lips, and offered no reply.

”Ah, Commander Lin, you truly are an old fox!”

Akad pointed at Lin Haifeng with a laugh, ignoring the representatives of various countries, numerous military-affiliated Sequence members, and even the increasingly grim expressions of some lone Sequence members whose blood had yet to cool. Pinching his chin, he then raised both hands and declared in a fervent tone,

”So then, to prove that justice might be delayed but will never be absent, our glorious leader, Lin Haifeng, sent out his three little dogs—that one, that one, and that one!”

Akad pointed to Qin Min, Fang Bai, and Michael, his tone suddenly darkening.

”A fierce battle began... It was terrifying, so terribly terrifying. Wow~ I, who thought myself Invincible, was chased all over the place by three opponents of the same level. If I weren’t immortal, I really would have died that time.

”But I don’t blame you, really. Just as I said earlier, there is no conflict between us!

”This is a pure hunt! Don’t you understand? Especially you, my friends in the first row! Don’t you understand? We are the Dominators of this world. We are the gods of this world. Our very life essence is far superior to those ordinary humans, those common people, those low-level professionists! We can naturally decide their life and death!

”This is the law of the jungle in its purest form, where the weak become my nourishment. And I, compared to some, could also be considered nourishment. This is nature’s elimination, essentially the same as sheep eating grass, and wolves eating sheep!

”But! Why do you weep for the weak? Why are you angry at the death of the weak? Because I killed too many? No, no, no! It’s because, fundamentally, you still regard those ordinary people as your own kind! Even with your immense power, your mindset hasn’t changed! You are still incompetent weaklings! You utterly lack the mindset to become gods! You have no qualifications to discuss cooperation with me! No right to even have a conflict with me! You trash!”

Akad’s voice grew increasingly intense, louder and louder, until finally, he literally crushed the microphone, his prodigious physical strength alone driving his vocal cords to unleash a roar that filled the entire venue!

Watching the seemingly crazed Akad on stage, and Kasu beside him, whose body had begun to uncontrollably emit white light, Wen Yu just felt I really have to say it... WTF!

Akad’s speech, however, was still not finished.

After a brief pause to adjust his rhythm, Akad’s tone regained its composure.

”So, let us return to the essence of the matter. Why did I come to this ridiculously boring conference of weak, idiotic individuals?”

”Why indeed? For what reason?”

Akad mumbled to himself for a moment before forcefully tugging at the brim of his hat.

”I remember now... It’s because of this!”

With that, Akad took out a piece of paper from the pocket of his blood-red trench coat.

”COUGH. COUGH. COUGH.”

Akad cleared his throat forcefully, then unfolded the crumpled ball of paper and slowly began to read the words written on it.

”The apocalypse has arrived! The rule of law has collapsed!

”And destruction signifies rebirth! The collapse of order means a new order will rise!

”However, sadly, I see no change in humanity! Clinging to the old order, old morals, old etiquette, like frogs at the bottom of a well, they keep spinning in circles within their own little world!

”I have a statement I’d like to share with all of you!

”Order is anti-Force! Democracy is anti-Evolution! Morality is anti-Instinct! Yet Force! Evolution! Instinct! These are the very guarantees of our survival!

”You haven’t recognized your own place, nor the place of others. You all pretend to be blind, fumbling about as you try to reshape this world, attempting to return to your former lives! You treat this as your ultimate goal! You share your joys with your friends, clinging to an idiotic sentiment you call ’hope’!

”This is cowardice! This is stagnation! This is you, seeking! your! own! demise!

”With so many Sequence members gathered here today, I sincerely invite all of you to join my Kingdom and build our new order together!

”There is no need for sympathy or pity, because the weak deserve to die!

”There is no need to strive for the future of any race, because the future of the race lies in the hands of us, the strong!

”There is no need to heed the opinions and views of others, because we adhere to the world’s most fundamental, inherent law—the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest!

”Now, I most sincerely invite everyone present to strive alongside me for *our* future!”

Having finished, Akad removed his top hat, revealing a mane of blood-red hair, then bowed respectfully to the audience below.

Unfortunately, dead silence greeted him from below...

His ideals were well-articulated, but based on Akad’s actions alone, everyone understood what he would do to realize this vision—and what it would take to become his accomplice.

Such extreme behavior, abandoning even the concept of being ’human,’ was something even Wen Yu found difficult to accept.

Therefore, Akad’s attempt to rally support today ended in complete failure!

”Sigh... As expected, just a bunch of weak humans!!!”

Akad sighed deeply, then slowly straightened. His previously manic expression had vanished, replaced by utter solemnity.

”Then...”

With that, Akad took another slip of paper from his pocket, and his entire demeanor instantly transformed!

He was like a razor-sharp sword, unsheathed and glinting, or like a king, lofty and imperious!

A voice, calm yet laced with the scent of blood, spread throughout the entire venue.

”My name is Akad. I am the King of the Nation of Death. Now, on behalf of the Nation of Death, I declare war on all surviving humans!

”Since you do not agree with my ideology, then become my nourishment!

”This is my, Akad’s, declaration of war! It is aimed at all of you! At all humans!”

Having said this, Akad threw down the paper in his hand, then arrogantly tilted back his head, raised both hands high, and roared in the center of the venue.

”Since you are unwilling to stand by my side, then you stand against me. But it matters not, for no matter where you stand, you *will* change this world! The war begins now! KYEHEHEHE...”

With another strange laugh, Akad strode off the podium and out of the venue, leaving behind a room full of people with grim expressions.

War? What right does he have to declare war? And against all of us? Wen Yu wondered. Is Akad simply insane, or does he truly possess such formidable power and hidden trump cards? He turned to Tang Haofei, his confusion evident as he asked.

Tang Haofei’s expression was exceptionally grim. After a long moment, he said to Wen Yu, ”It’s an Esoteric Level skill, similar to abilities connected to the Netherworld. Everyone he kills is transformed into his war slave, forced to fight for him!

”He slaughtered so many people in Britain and even plundered their military arsenal... which included nuclear weapons!”

Wen Yu fell silent.

Tang Haofei sighed and murmured, ”He must die. It seems I’ll have to make my move right after the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle concludes.”

A voice suddenly interjected, ”Count me in.”

The speaker was Kasu, Sequence Number 3.

”As a messenger of the Dominator, it is my duty to purge this world of evil!”
