Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 898: Chapter 4: Star Destroyer

”Arasaka stored her backup persona to ensure that if the plan were to fail, there would still be a chance to reboot the Mother City in the future.”

Through the Wall of Code, the Deep Net also gazed at this slightly younger female Bionic Man.

”So, I rebooted her.”

”Did she do a memory backup?”

”Her memory was synchronized and backed up only before the initiation of the Cyber Tide. After that, the global memory loss event began, and all memory devices were simultaneously disconnected. Memories after that are not in her storage system.”

”I see.”

In the tone of ’Deep Net,’ the Deep Net issued a task order to monitor the planet’s launch platform to Yagami Suuji, who quickly nodded and left.

”Miss Ke.”

After leaving the Planet Host, Yagami Suuji suddenly spoke.

”Do you have any instructions, Miss Suzi?”

”Just now, next to Ms. Deep Web, I vaguely saw a blurry figure. Who is he?”

”Insufficient information, unable to determine.”

”I see.”

Yagami Suuji frowned slightly, as several faces flashed through her mind, her expression showing a hint of confusion.

’Minister Aramaki and Minister G, where on earth did you go? Why has this planet become like this?’

...

”I don’t plan to take her away from this planet. Since Aramaki believes she is the opportunity for this planet, let’s let her properly play the role of Savior,” the Deep Net suddenly said.

Gao Gong understood what the other meant.

If the plan went smoothly, soon the Mother City Influence would withdraw from this planet, and without the protection of the Advanced Civilization, soon all kinds of Alien Influence would covet it without any scruples, and Yagami Suuji, as the first Minister of Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, had a rather heavy task.

”It seems, being the Planet Host for this century, you aren’t entirely without emotion.”

The Deep Net lightly snorted, tapping slightly on the host’s Deep Net, her body dissolving away like flowing water, and the entire Mother City seemed to light up, with sensory signals and neural currents interacting. In every super pipeline, a large amount of data was connected, and soon, a magnificent Data Goddess was once again born.

Host Deep Net!

Whether from the exterior or the core, she was one of the three Planet Hosts dispatched by the Mechanical Sovereign back then.

And Gao Gong also stepped forward, his Human Form instantly decomposing, turning into countless worms, burrowing into the Box.

Although, in theory, a Star System Level Mechanical Sovereign would highly likely be unable to discover a Tier 5, that is Star System Group-level Information Monster, but just in case, after all, the other party is the ’regional manager’ of a Level 7 Civilization, with possibly advanced detection methods, so playing it safe isn’t a bad thing.

Online within the Box’s world, Gao Gong silently waited, the Thin Alien’s corpse had long been handed over to the other party, and besides that, both parties had reconciled the story.

Although the Memory Mother, this kind of Information Monster awakened on this planet, under the fierce resistance of the three Planet Hosts, they finally managed to lead that entity away.

During this time, the Fortress had foreseen the ’Monster Under the Stars,’ so arrangements had been made long ago.

Another Planet Host, General Cybertron, battled with the Cyber Tide for dozens of days, exhausting the power of the last Spark, making the greatest contribution for the final counterattack.

And finally, the Deep Net took action, activating an immature Cosmic Relic on this planet, causing the relic and the Memory Mother to perish together.

Of course, the Tier 5 Information Life wouldn’t die, but after being severely injured, it finally gave up devouring the entire planet and chose to leave this Star System.

And the Deep Net also uncovered that the mastermind behind the Memory Mother was a group, or a gang called the ’Supreme Being,’ and successfully captured one of their pawns.

This was the specific content, half-true and half-false, mainly to cover two points: one was the existence of Gao Gong, and the other was the successful nurturing of the Cosmic Relic.

In terms of details, Gao Gong wasn’t worried, because under the Cyber Tide, any information-related devices basically experienced Downtime.

If the other party really wanted to investigate, he could also manipulate the Memory Mother to create the evidence the other side wanted.

Soon, standing within the Box, Gao Gong saw the phantom of a gigantic being, made up of countless silk threads, a Mechanical Life whose specific form couldn’t be clearly seen. But even with the Box as a barrier, the aura leaked by the other party was at least two levels higher than General Cybertron.

As a Level 7 Civilization, not having dozens, or even hundreds of Servant Civilizations under its command is impossible.

And as an ancient civilization, the Subordinate Civilizations under the Level 7 Ancient Mechanical Civilization could probably number in the tens of thousands.

A guardian of a Star System, his identity was not any less than that of a Civilization Leader of an Ascension Civilization, and he was still a Mechanical Sovereign.

Mechanical Sovereign is not only an identity but also a profession, being within the Mechanical System, an Alliance Leader’s profession.

And the strength of this profession lies in ’billions of mechanical transformations,’ which elevates the Mechanical System’s transformation rate to a terrifying figure through the absorption of a vast number of allied machines. Among the Mechanical Sovereigns Gao Gong has encountered, even the weakest can achieve a mechanical energy level of over a trillion.

These mechanical bodies are also known as star-destroying-type machines.

They are already capable of destroying the largest planetary structure in this star system.

Standing inside the box, Gao Gong couldn’t hear the exchange between Ms. Deep Web and the Mechanical Sovereign, but soon after, the system prompt sounded.

Gao Gong opened it to take a look, raising his eyebrows in slight surprise.

It was a Tier 3 Linked Task, and the task was named ’Investigation of the Cyber Test Field (Robert Star System).’

The massive mechanical phantom gradually disappeared, and amidst the time tunnel, a captivating maiden not from this world walked in once again.

”The plan has deviated a bit; it seems our Lord Dominator isn’t quite confident in our strength.”

”Thus, the proposal to investigate the Supreme Being was rejected, replaced by the task of handing over the corpse with the relic aura and investigating the other three Cyber Test Fields controlled by the Mechanical Sovereign in this star system.”

Ms. Deep Web glanced at Gao Gong in surprise and said, ”You actually figured that out? But how did you know there were three more test fields?”

Gao Gong smiled slightly without answering, because that’s exactly what the task description stated.

However, Ms. Deep Web wasn’t concerned about this answer, since she had long sensed that the other party seemed to possess a predictive ability, merely remarking lazily:

”This isn’t too bad actually. Considering our worst-case scenario, the plan gets discovered, the Planet Host gets forcibly reclaimed, and we have no choice but to run.”

With the current situation faced by the Mechanical Sovereign, the likelihood of such an incident occurring is low.”

If that (group) Supreme Being’s target is a Level 7 Civilization, then the Cyber Test Field is likely facing only the first wave of attack, while the second wave will be borne by the Mechanical Sovereign.”

With Gao Gong’s reminder, I believe this Mechanical Sovereign might have realized something’s amiss, hence asking Gao Gong and others to investigate the other three Cyber Test Fields in this star system.

Perhaps due to time constraints, my efforts in stopping the Cyber Tide were advanced by half, differing from expectations, the Mechanical Sovereign wasn’t in especially dire straits, clutching desperately for survival, making this task seem more like a shot in the dark.

In other words, perhaps there’s still a bit of doubt about me, unwilling to let me investigate the real culprit behind the scenes.

There are too many unexpected factors, so all Gao Gong can do is make educated guesses.

Gao Gong pondered for a while, seeing Ms. Deep Web still smilingly gazing at him, he said: ”Speak.”

”Speak what?” Ms. Deep Web looked surprised.

”I went to great lengths to keep us within the ranks of the Level 7 Civilization, isn’t it just to get backing, we not only repelled the Memory Worm but also discovered clues to the real culprit, and gained nothing?”

”But we also destroyed a Cosmic Relic.”

”Don’t be silly, among a hundred Cyber Test Fields, it’s unlikely to synthesize a relic, if Cosmic Relics were easy to synthesize, the universe would be filled with them.”

”Oh my, you’re quite the sly one, able to guess everything,” Ms. Deep Web extended a finger.

”Lord Dominator, to enable us to quickly proceed to investigate other Cyber Test Fields, gifted us a Star Destroyer.”

Gao Gong immediately perked up.

A Star Destroyer, that’s good stuff! It’s the main battleship of a Level 3 Civilization, and in blueprints, it’s a Level 15 large-scale blueprint.

And most importantly, this ’Star Destroyer’ can not only travel at ’superluminal’ speeds but also ’destroy stars.’ Its Star-Destroying Cannon can pierce from the surface to the Earth’s core, detonating the Star Core and directly blowing up the planet.

This level of firepower is classified as standard military-grade in the cosmos, able to cause irreversible environmental damage to a Level 3 Celestial System in the universe, similar to a Star Zone like the Galaxy Arm.

General interstellar wars might not cause such extensive damage.

With this Star Destroyer, at least within the star system, even if you intrude into a Level 3 Civilization’s territory, they won’t do anything to you.

Not only because of the Star Destroyer’s terrifying combat power but more importantly, because of the Star Destroyer’s background.

Gao Gong exhaled deeply and said:

”Is this Star Destroyer coming directly? Do we need to stay on this planet for a while longer?”

Ms. Deep Web shook her head and said:

”No, Lord Dominator has given me a Cosmic Black Market coordinate, for us to go there and pick up the ship, also the corpse, to hand over to Lord Dominator’s envoy.”

”Cosmic Black Market, which Cosmic Black Market is that?”

Then Ms. Deep Web gave the coordinates to Gao Gong, who quickly confirmed that this location is the nearest black market to Mechanical Split Star.

Moreover, it’s also the headquarters of the Eternal Life Conglomerate!
