Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 863: Chapter 31: Fortress Falls (Part 1)

”Let me think, let me think, where should I start.”

Young Desolate Scroll rubbed his face hard.

”That’s right, let’s start with Aramaki’s death. Of course, I’m talking about his real death, not some flawed false death.”

”Don’t you want to know how he died?”

Yagami Suuji took a deep breath, looking at this familiar yet strange face, her emotions filled with absurdity.

”Of course, he was killed by the Cloud Nobility. Do you know what he wanted to do? He wanted to collect the keys of the Cloud Nobility, team up with the Fortress, and use the power of the Planet Host to completely destroy the twelve keys.”

”Once the keys are destroyed, do you know what will happen? The messengers of the Civilization Council, the organization ruling the entire universe, will descend. At that moment, he would apply to the Civilization Council’s messengers for ’civilization asylum,’ using the power of the Civilization Council to protect this damn planet!”

”Then he died, killed by the Cloud Nobility, killed by that monster in the starry sky he spoke of!”

Young Desolate Scroll laughed.

”I know you have many questions now, come, come, I’ll answer them one by one for you.”

Yagami Suuji opened her mouth, but found her throat seemed blocked, unable to say a word.

Agent J was silent for a while and then said:

”What is your relationship with Aramaki, and what is the relationship between Fortress and the ’Fortress’?”

”Good question!”

Young Desolate Scroll placed a hand on Zero’s shoulder, only to be pushed away expressionlessly by the other.

This Clown Desolate Scroll didn’t mind, grinning as he said:

”Are there not various very reliable sources of information, telling you in various ways that the current Fortress is fake, is an existence polluted by the Punk Virus, is a traitor to the Planet Host, it even wants to monopolize all the Destruction Forms of this Cyber Test Field, right, right, right.”

”There is also a saying that Aramaki was sent by the Fortress, a spy lurking around the Deep Net, just to manipulate everything.”

”And there’s another saying...”

Clown Desolate Scroll suddenly yawned, going from excited to bored in an instant, picking at his nails as he said:

”So boring, how come you all have no expression at all, give some reaction, people.”

”Then I’ll make a move,” Zero stepped forward, expressionless as he said.

”Hey, hey, hey, don’t make a move, I haven’t finished yet,” the Clown hurriedly stopped the other, continuing his performance.

”In short, it’s a fact that the Fortress was polluted by the Punk Virus, it split off a consciousness, that’s also a fact, and it’s a fact that Aramaki was sent by the Fortress to be a spy.”

”The only lie is that the suppressed Fortress, right behind you, is the one truly polluted by the Virus, while the Fortress you find problematic is actually perfectly normal.”

”As for the Fortress sending Aramaki into the Deep Net, it’s because it wanted to know to what extent the Deep Net was corroded by the No. 1 Destruction Form.”

”As for me, if the True Fortress can create a True Desolate Scroll, why can’t the Fake Fortress create a Fake Desolate Scroll?”

”So, I became Aramaki, inherited Aramaki’s legacy, established the Six Ministries United Squad, became the only unregistered member, and guided this operation.”

”To make it authentic, I even killed a few of our good teammates, by the way, the stupid virus really is contagious, as soon as I showed up, those guys actually let their guard down, interesting, really interesting!”

The Clown Desolate Scroll laughed so hard his mouth couldn’t close.

If anger could kill, the flames of fury in Yagami Suuji’s eyes would have killed him eight hundred times over.

So she made a move, her figure flickered, appearing behind him, a whipping leg seeming able to shatter the void.

Yet the Clown Desolate Scroll did not even turn his head, snapped his fingers, and flames spewed from the crack on Yagami Suuji, enveloping her entirely, and as he pressed down in the void, the flames grew higher and stronger.

”Has no one told you, don’t listen to the villain talk, besides satisfying his own vanity, there’s another possibility, he’s stalling for time, Fortress, have you got it sorted out over there?!”

The Clown Desolate Scroll suddenly raised his voice.

”Naturally!”

The Fortress Elder slowly turned his head, revealing a faceless face, and this time he was indistinguishable from the real Fortress.

The Fortress Elder slowly floated to face Yagami Suuji, a gentle touch, and the flames on Yagami Suuji froze like amber.

His voice echoed, old and powerful.

”You saved me, so I won’t kill you, but you must become one of my personalities.”

In the next moment, the Colorless Flame gradually solidified, forming a Personality Mask, embedding itself into Yagami Suuji’s soul through her features.

Then, Yagami Suuji dropped down, expressionless, following him from behind.

”What next, suppress the Deep Net first, then surprise attack Cybertron, finally take all the Destruction Forms, escape into the universe, tsk tsk tsk, relic splits, Planet Host, fetching a great price in the Cosmic Black Market!” the Clown rambled on.

...

At the base of the 7th Mechanized Corps, numerous mechanical corpses floated on the sea surface, along with the scrapped ground weapons and energy weapons.

Three SS-Level Radiation Beast Kings looked at them indifferently.

Three SS-Level forces, already equivalent to Continent-Destroying Level.

Yet these three did not speak, at the depths of their pupils was the gaze of War, a fierce glint flashing in the eyes of the white-haired, bearded elder.

Soon, these three would move toward the Fortress Mother City.

However, from the horizon where the sea meets the sky, a golden light flashed and then transformed into overwhelming radiance, blocking these three Radiation Beast Kings.

’Namshabu’

’Namshabu’

’Namshabu’

’Namshabu’

...

The bodies of the three Radiation Beast Kings were suddenly enveloped by countless golden rays, and these rays, through their eyes, pierced deep into the Information Ocean.

In the face of War, there suddenly appeared a human-like figure glowing with golden light.

”Turing, you want to ruin this old man’s plan!!”

Turing did not speak, his eyes shot out beams of golden light, piercing directly into War’s eyes.

After a while, the golden light dissipated, and War’s expression turned unpredictable.

”You’re saying that if I destroy the Fortress, I’d only be destroying a Mother City, unable to annihilate the true Planet Host.”

”If you can do it, don’t think I don’t know what you did, you collaborated with the Fortress, didn’t you?”

”Heh, I’m No. 2, you’re No. 3, I always thought there was mutual understanding between us in retaliating against the Mother City, but you disappoint me.”

”I will never cooperate with you, Fortress, Cybertron, Deep Net, I must take them down personally!”
