Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 853: Chapter 21: Brewing

[[Nightmare-level Task: Super Corporation’s Inspection and Control]Completed]

[Task Reward: Experience +40 million, any skill improved to full level, Mechanical Puzzle*3, new ’Template Fragment’, clues to the next phase of Cyber Tide]

Accompanied by the ’ding ding’ sound, Gao Gong’s global inspection officially ended.

This global inspection lasted only ten days. Gao Gong visited most of the super corporations on this planet and engaged in cordial and friendly exchanges with the corporate leaders. A consensus was reached regarding mutual cooperation for shared success. Both parties firmly believed that only under the control of the Mother City could Mechanical Split Star develop in a better, faster, and stronger direction.

To put it in simpler terms, Gao Gong’s Divine Knowledge, coupled with the identity as Minister of Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, successfully made this ’nightmare task’ very smooth. Gao Gong was like Detective Conan: wherever he went, there were dead bodies—no, corporate traitors—and their reasons for betrayal varied. Some aimed to overthrow corporations, some had trusted confidants turning into foes, and some believed they were spies sent by business competitors.

Gao Gong also encountered a master with a triple buff of Personality Reset + Memory Loss + Cyber Psychosis, who took down the entire corporate upper echelon.

The scene was extraordinarily captivating.

”It’s snowing.”

Gao Gong looked up, through the window, seeing the sky filled with dancing flakes—a scene of ’white hair’.

”Minister, a global radiation mutation has been detected,” Miss Ke’s voice rang out again.

”Hmm.”

Mechanical Split Star wasn’t without snow, but due to radiation influence, the snow was mostly colorful, especially the black snow, also known as dirty snow, pollution blood, radiation snow. Whenever black snow appeared, a region’s radiation concentration would rise one level, advancing to a non-human area.

Therefore, whenever ’black snow’ appeared, the Mechanical Guards of Mechanical City would be dispatched to scatter the ice cloud layers, interrupting the snow.

But this time was different. According to Miss Ke’s report, this time the ’snowflakes’ were a global snowfall, meaning every part of Mechanical Split Star, whether in the high-temperature nuclear fission zones or the barren rusty areas, was covered in fluffy snow falling elegantly, seemingly with no intention of stopping. More mysteriously, the snowflakes seemed to materialize out of thin air, not descending from the radiation clouds above.

”What kind of normal snow is this?”

Gao Gong muttered to himself.

Under the influence of ’Divine Knowledge,’ these ’snowflakes’ were clearly the Memory Mother’s shell-coating, shed insect egg fragments.

Each bit touched increases the chance of winning in the Cyber Tide lottery.

But for some others, these ’snowflakes’ became their aid instead.

”Miss Ke.”

”I’m here.”

”I’ve heard the main race of Cloud Nobility decided to visit the Fortress in ten days, right?”

”Yes.”

”Can I go to observe?”

”Of course, you’re one of the six Inspectors, you certainly have this authority.”

”Hmm.”

Gao Gong calculated the time, perhaps influenced by his butterfly effect, it was two months earlier than the previous life. But anyway, the ’Fortress Fall’ main storyline finally started.

...

Meanwhile, atop a super corporation, a new clone management team was having a meeting. The boss of this super corporation was the unfortunate victim of the ’triple debuff’, and if not for Gao Gong’s inspection, the bloodbath would have affected more than just the management.

Within the holographic projection, heads of various research departments were reporting the development progress of some ’brain-machine software’ to the management. Suddenly, the image flickered for a moment, and then these heads displayed peculiar smiles.

”Dear directors, bosses, esteemed shareholders, next, I’m going to introduce you to the latest ’Brainware’ developed by our Black Realm. I call it ’Worm Brainware’.”

The meeting room immediately descended into chaos.

”Black Realm, members of Skull Society?”

”Where’s the electronic defense department? Why has our corporate meeting been hacked?”

”Activate all electronic firewalls, request support from the Deep Net!”

Yet, these heads seemingly remained oblivious to the turmoil before them, continuing their self-introduction.

”... The most powerful aspect of Worm Brainware is that it is a special level of brainware automatically installed through Sensory Signals. This means the brain-machine firewall, electronic firewall, and even the brain chip can’t defend against it. The reason is simple: no organism can stop releasing signals. You know what this means? It means that as long as it’s an organism, it will automatically install our ’Worm Brainware’. Soon, the whole world will turn into a gigantic brainware center.”

The commotion in the meeting room gradually subsided, all the executives turned, revealing a strange smile, and then the newly cloned CEO spoke.

”Then, first open our core arsenal and unleash the civilization weapon we developed to the Dark Realm.”

...

In another part of the vast Super Corporation building’s exterior, the terrifying radiation energy surged wave after wave, as monstrous snakes, resembling dragons or jiao, emitted S-level radiation energy.

And the number of these monstrous snakes reached the hundreds, relying on their terrifying energy fluctuations to repeatedly assault the defenses at the Super Corporation’s perimeter. Regardless if it was standard energy defense weapons or large-scale weapons of mass destruction like neutron bombs, nuclear bombs, or hydrogen bombs, all were submerged by the SS+ energy tide when they entered the beast tide.

A typical beast tide is led by an A-level Radiation Beast leader, resonating with millions of ordinary Radiation Beasts to create a regional-level energy tide phenomenon. However, this ’insect tide’ before us was completely different. It evolved from nearly 200 A+ and even S-level ’insect serpents,’ where the energy level of one ’snake worm’ was comparable to the combined form of one hundred thousand ordinary Radiation Beasts.

Generally speaking, only through the evolution of millions of life forms can a new structural energy evolve, producing a physical body capable of perfectly carrying S-level radiation energy.

This is why, on this planet, there are only 17 kinds with S-level bloodlines.

But the Tier 5 Information Monster excels because it can directly create new life forms through information evolution, such as A-level insect serpents, or S-level insect serpents.

From a Biological Civilization perspective, this is an incredible feat.

This is also why, though rare, the Information Civilization ranks among the Four Great Civilizations of the cosmos.

What Carbon-Based Civilizations can achieve, it can achieve; what Energy Civilizations can achieve, it can achieve; what Mechanical Civilizations can achieve, it can achieve.

This is because all things in the universe are composed of information.

With a loud rumble.

A massive Mechanical Body ceased operation; it was a defense-oriented Tier 3 Civilization architecture.

Then, the snake worms invaded the core of this Super Corporation.

Following the ’insect tide,’ Boss Ma walked leisurely, with one Boss Ma emerging from the tide, then two, and more and more Boss Mas appeared. The flesh face, devoid of skin, bore a crazed smile.

The Information Civilization modifies everything.

Thus, Boss Ma modified himself. This was neither a clone nor a Bionic Man, but rather ten thousand completely identical, utterly authentic versions of himself.

Then, the A-level biological chips on Boss Ma began activation, merging Biomechanical Unity, rapidly elevating his momentum. Biomechanical Technology is essentially a lower-end version of Fusion Technology, but even at its endpoint, this low-end version can touch upon a corner of Fusion Technology.

”So... this is how it is.”

The small butterfly named Gao Gong disturbed the torrents of the era, yet how far this disturbance would reach, was beyond his control.

...

In the same Super Corporation building, it was eerily quiet, with an employee lying at every workstation.

The first floor was like this, the second floor was like this, the third floor was like this, the fourth floor was like this, the fifth floor was like this...

The 400-story super building was eerily empty, devoid of a living soul, as if... Death God had visited.

The death of a Bandai did not calm the members of Skull Society but rather solidified their resolve even more. They decided on deep integration with the Cyber Tide to become commanders of this era’s wave, which would start from engulfing the old era’s foundation, the Giant Corporation. Eventually, these waves would engulf to the extent of the three Planet Hosts.

...

Similarly, amid the swirling snow, some other cyber waves brewed in parallel.

At the ocean’s depths, an S+-level Giant Kun swam, its surface covered in visible metal skeletons and engineering products, rough yet dangerous, undoubtedly a Knight Order Biomechanical Technology product.

However, as the snowflakes descended onto the sea surface, they did not melt but continued to sink, eventually resting on the Giant Whale’s surface.

Then, the Giant Whale roared furiously, with various small and large undersea whirlpools forming. Aided by the snowflakes, the island-like body, instead of growing, decreased in size, rapidly compacting while reinforcing density, causing metal skeletons and reinforcements to either be compressed outward or absorbed into its muscles.

The ancient creature’s aura began to explosively emit.

Subsequently, substantial radiation energy formed into an embryo, pulsating with each breath, swelling and contracting. At its max swell, a pair of wings abruptly burst from the embryo. In a trance, the Giant Whale’s silhouette within the embryo vanished, replaced by the vague figure of a human form.

...

At the lowest level of the Pure White Shell Factory, production lines autonomously operated, assembling and assembling Bionic Men. Neural lines spliced into neural lines; skeleton outlines formed; bionic skin was implanted. In the end, a nearly perfect bionic woman was formed. The Bionic Man quickly opened its eyes, revealing purple pupils.

Black Rose!

On these production lines, thousands upon thousands of Black Roses were in production.

Dr. Aixin, clothed in a white coat, walked over, obsessively examining their body, speaking:

”The Main Race has responded to us, they found Bionic A and recovered the last Bionic imprint.”

The frown of the Black Rose, tethered with cords and still hanging from an industrial arm, slowly deepened.

”What does that mean, Bionic A doesn’t want to be a bionic anymore?”
