Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 880: Chapter 48: The Fall of Cybertron

”Good morning, no, based on the time, it should be good evening, Miss Suzi.”

Gao Gong looked up and gazed at the sky. Without the radiation layer, the radiance from the fixed star engulfed the entire Mechanical Split Star. The original day and night disappeared, replaced by dazzling light, akin to the feeling of turning on all the lights in a morgue. This was the combined effect of the Memory Mother and Sea of Life.

”Why are you looking for me?” Gao Gong turned, staring at the other.

Yagami Suuji opened her mouth, filled with questions, but was unable to utter them. Her bionic eyes automatically parsed the other person, who appeared like a burning human-form torch, radiating flames that constantly resisted the surrounding chaotic information.

”The whole world is now in chaos. The Six Ministries have completely turned us into enemies, and all super corporations have detached from the control of the Mother City,” she paused for a moment, then said.

”This is entirely normal,” Gao Gong said softly. ”The larger the organizations, the more information stored within, the deeper the impact it has.”

”What should I do then?”

”Help me find someone; he’s incredibly important.”

”Who is he?”

”Bionic A.”

”And after finding him?”

”He will become the new ’Monster Under the Stars.’

Yagami Suuji’s eyes narrowed, and she said, ”I understand, how exactly should I proceed?”

Gao Gong opened his mouth, and a series of arrangements entered the other’s ears.

...

Half an hour later, Yagami Suuji left. ’Gao Gong’s’ figure rapidly turned into ashes, yet the ashes did not scatter with the wind, still maintaining a human form, suspended in midair.

”You tell her, ’Memory Mother’ will also know.”

”She’s already a part of the Memory Mother,” in ’Gao Gong’s’ eyes, the just departed Yagami Suuji, like several ministers before her, except for the face, her entire body had turned into a ’Memory Worm.’ This Memory Worm extended for kilometers, with chaotic information resulting in alterations to space parameters.

However, Yagami Suuji remained unaware, seemingly still harboring thoughts of saving the world.

”But what of it?” Gao Gong muttered to himself, as if explaining to someone, ”I am not trying to kill the Memory Mother; I merely want it to evolve faster, transition quickly from ’Electronic Brain Graveyard’ to ’Bionic Revolution,’ and then break out of the chrysalis to complete the final evolution. Am I not a good citizen? Doesn’t she see it? Does she intend to confront me?”

With Gao Gong’s words, the continent beneath him began to sink bit by bit, huge waves rose higher and higher, and the sea storm raged, even obstructing visibility.

Meanwhile, the entire planet’s sea level rose by a fraction as the S-Level continent submerged completely.

Then, whether storm or giant waves, with the sinking of the continent, they miraculously vanished.

Gao Gong, witnessing this scene, let out a long breath, muttering.

”I am also a part of the Memory Mother; such self-destruction, at least not now.”

Gao Gong looked toward the sea; a giant worm shadow extended directly to the visible end of the sea horizon.

As the most powerful organism on the planet, transformed into a Memory Worm, naturally, it was the largest.

...

Gao Gong hiding in the Information Ocean was not to avoid the Memory Mother.

His pursuit was merely to retain his consciousness from being controlled amid the ’transformation’ process.

While his physical form, that ’S-Level continent,’ he willingly offered to the other party.

The maneuver was akin to a certain charming young man resolutely selling his body for the sake of feeding his wife at home, preserving his soul.

Such handling might not work for a typical rich lady, but for less savvy rich ones, like ’Memory Mother,’ it worked quite well.

As a Tier 5 Chaotic Information Body, chaos was ’its’ essence, similar to ’entropy increase,’ unchanged by its strength.

And as a ’Chaotic Information Body,’ no matter how rational its ’reason,’ only one thing remains constant: its near-instinctive hunger.

And Gao Gong satisfied this aspect, from the first Cyber Tide, repeatedly filling it with outstanding techniques. Thus, even when its reason (the ’will’ of this Cyber Tide) suspected disruption by the other party.

But instinctively, the Memory Mother was pleased with Gao Gong’s service, anticipating Gao Gong to feed it more.

This was the sole reason Gao Gong could maintain his reason.

...

The S-Level continent was submerged once again.

And the Electronic Brain Graveyard on the continent also disappeared.

But the disappearance of the grave doesn’t mean the ’ghosts’ within it are gone.

Nightless City

In the ruins of the original orphanage, a black shadow suddenly appeared, sniffed at the broken remains, and then disappeared again.

This time it appeared in a dilapidated building, a small room, but without dust, and seemingly tidied by someone, looking very neat.

The black shadow sniffed and disappeared again.

When the black shadow appeared again, it was in the Iron Sand Desert.

The trail of the black shadow seems to be the footprints of Gao Gong.

...

”Information life forms are not actually that difficult to deal with. If ’information’ wants to become ’life,’ it must have survival instincts,” Gao Gong paused and said, ”For example, Sir War, your desire for life is to avenge the empire, right?”

”You talk too much.”

”Since there’s nothing else to do, why not chat a bit, traveling is boring anyway.”

For all civilizations, measuring their level, besides the rank, also involves their interstellar navigation capabilities, and it’s the same for super creatures. Some top interstellar warriors can even physically traverse star systems.

Among them, advanced information life forms have very unique ways of traveling because information life forms do not require energy or power; the cosmos is filled with a vast amount of information, which is their best food and energy source.

At this moment, Gao Gong and War were traveling like this, from Mechanical Split Star to Cybertron, as if there was a bridge made of endless information.

And there were only two people on the bridge, Gao Gong and an old man with curly white beards; the old man was tall, like a mountain suppressing the bridge, and each of his steps made the bridge emit ’rumble’ sounds.

Gao Gong quietly followed behind him, and soon, at the end of the information bridge, a huge entity appeared, like countless rays of light, but also like thousands of shadows.

War Light and Shadow, one of the three Planet-level Firewalls, and the one with the strongest defensive capabilities.

Gao Gong switched perspective from data view back to the real world.

In the cosmic starry sky, a mechanical satellite emitting black smoke floated in outer space. The satellite was certainly huge, but compared to the boundless universe, it was insignificant. More importantly, this satellite had already exhausted its energy, and the ’black smoke’ wasn’t smoke but the remnants of Spark Life burning out.

Perhaps calling it ashes would be more appropriate.

Thousands of ashes continually drifted from the surface of this satellite, fluttering in outer space, looking somewhat desolate.

”Cybertron, on this day too!” War’s brow furrowed and his eyes were furious, his voice like a thunderstorm.

Countless rays of light quickly fused, and soon, a mechanical giant that grasped stars appeared in the information realm. Numerous mechanical commands crudely synthesized meteorites, directly blasting towards War.

Even in this state, General Cybertron maintained the spirit of taking action without speaking much, directly attacking.

Also serving as a ’planet host,’ War was no longer like the previous war, easily breached by the invading cosmic forces, causing most defensive weapons to crash before entering operational status.

This time, War’s hands grabbed, and countless blood-mist phantoms emerged. Each Biomechanical Knight was pinched out, and this time, boosted by the ’planet host,’ these ’Biomechanical Knights’ became very powerful, directly colliding with the virtual meteorites, and the meteor-like virtual commands fell in sheets, stirring the surrounding information into a paste.

The saying goes, hit the drowning dog, and after General Cybertron was severely injured by the Cyber Tide, the two decided to join forces to eliminate the other, each taking what they need.

’The plot has changed beyond recognition.’

In Gao Gong’s memory, in the last life, ’General Cybertron’ held on until the Memory Mother awakened before being completely submerged by the Cyber Tide.

However, now, just in the ’Electronic Brain Graveyard’ stage, the planet host couldn’t hold.

The reason is simple: in this life, the Memory Mother was fed by someone in the early-mid stages, so the Cyber Tide became even stronger.

Gao Gong didn’t participate in the computational power war between planet hosts. In the ’Sea of Life’ state, he only retained the essence of life, his combat power wasn’t strong.

But he wasn’t without means, with very good luck, he had obtained the ’Cosmic Treasure’ from a previous Hell-level Task, along with two Tier 4 Skills, all attack types.

Gao Gong bypassed the main battlefield, switched back to reality vision, his figure transformed from virtual to real, and a faint blood shadow stepped onto the Cybertron planet.

This was Gao Gong’s second visit to Cybertron, but this time the Cybertron he saw was much more tragic than last time; everywhere were the wrecks of Spark Mechanism. On the surface of these wrecks were many bulges, folds, and yellowish liquid in the gaps, at least hundreds of eggs emerging on the Spark.

As for the various mechanical modules and weapon templates on Cybertron’s surface, they were more severely damaged.

The entire Cybertron was like a rotten egg left outside for half a year, covered with maggots, and worse, the maggots had penetrated the heart of the egg.

’Alert, alert, there is an intrusion of unknown lifeform, defense modules activated’

A faint ’zzz’ alarm sounded, giving the feeling of having very little defensive power.
