Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 861: Chapter 29: Individual Actions

The appearance of the Memory Materia astonished Gao Gong, but it’s impossible to say he was completely unguarded.

In the Cyber Tide, everything impossible turns possible.

Gao Gong had already prepared for the worst.

The next moment, seven Destruction Forms’ radiance shone brightly: Destiny Weaving Machine, Purple Energy Strings, Spirit of Ecology, Soul Armor, Destructive Intelligence, Mutant Fusion, Rewind System. The light of these seven Destruction Forms forcibly resisted the High-tier Information Transformation.

Meanwhile, Gao Gong’s form began to change, his entire body started to disappear, a human form composed of massive neuronal currents appeared, his two eyeballs slowly lifted, void of sclera and pupils, like a player fast-forwarded ten thousand times, playing not just Gao Gong’s life but the lives of Sister Ji, Aramaki, Xiao Yu, Ymir, Gox, Gao Yuanyuan at high speed.

Both sides exchanged a glance, and the Materia suddenly felt a strong sense of rejection.

It seemed intent on expelling her from this space, this time, this thought, and even everything.

The Memory Materia paused for a moment; eyeballs rapidly sprouted across the back of her head and top of her head, and wherever her gaze went, windows vanished, chandeliers disappeared, furniture evaporated, floors disappeared, leaving only a squared-off white box.

”Trying to banish me, don’t forget, you’re part of me too.”

The Memory Materia waved her arm lightly, seemingly producing thousands of arms at once. She casually shook her head, like an entire human head view manifested in this world. Then, horrific mumblings, chaotic knowledge, civilization-ending scenarios, tens of thousands of years of star system evolution compressed this box scene by scene.

And this chaotic Advanced Information evolution, just catching a glimpse of it resulted in one of Gao Gong’s eyeballs bursting open. Then a thick white worm hurriedly extruded from the eye socket, unfurling into a white flesh-carpeting, upon which the Memory Materia’s tiny foot delicately stepped.

Like a dream, yet twisted to the utmost degree, the transparent beauty walked step by step to face Gao Gong, lightly lifting his chin, where many transparent fingers even penetrated Gao Gong’s jaw.

”You are the strongest lifeform on this planet, qualified to become my will’s controller. Come, unite with me, become a part of me as I become a part of you. Our will shall blossom on this planet.”

Gao Gong remained silent, but the ’player’ within his eyes accelerated faster, rendering the images indistinguishable, leaving only pure white light.

The ’Memory Materia’ suddenly sensed something off.

Then, Gao Gong’s voice resonated, not from within his body, but from the entire white box.

”You’re pulling my leg; you can’t even preserve your own will, yet you hope to lure me like this. You’re merely the Memory Materia of this Cyber Wave, and once the Cyber Tide shifts, your memory and personality will be equally nonexistent. A new Memory Materia will spawn from the new tide.”

”Such is the essence of the Chaotic Information Body; it can never possess a genuine will to dominate everything.”

”I never intended to truly expel you; that’s impossible. However, if you wish to stay here, then stay, but I’m leaving.”

”My box is quite spacious, so bear with it.”

The next moment, the ’Memory Materia’ spun around.

The box was gone.

The hotel was gone.

The fortress vanished.

Replaced by boundless seawater, and within, those sky-obscuring seaweeds like dragons, like snakes, covering the sky and earth. The oxygen concentration in the seawater was extraordinarily abundant, as was the entirety of this world. Carbon dioxide was fully absorbed by the seaweeds, and when greenhouse gases were depleted, a thick ice layer accumulated above the seawater. The entire world was on the brink of another tectonic shift.

The time point now stood at the era preceding the Ancient Times of this planet, the Algae Era.

Within the seawater were the most primitive, lowest-tier single cells, so primitive they couldn’t compose life, yet their sheer number was overwhelming, so much so that the ’Memory Materia’ temporarily couldn’t find a way back.

...

”Damn, how many waves in, and we already summoned this thing!”

Within the actual room, Gao Gong was grimacing, his entire body like an appliance drenched in water, emitting billowing white smoke.

The ’Sea of Life’ Bloodline continually stimulated, almost igniting itself with terrifying life force.

The Carbon-based System’s ability to counter the Information System relied on this fearsome life force capable of transcending the iterations and control of information.

Whatever the room looked like before, it still looked that way. The only difference was that one of Gao Gong’s eyeballs disappeared, and it happened to be Michael’s Eye of Truth.

Michael’s Eye of Truth (Tier 2 Bloodline): The Michael Star People’s birth star was a gaseous planet, with its veils disrupting the Michael People’s Perception. For survival, they evolved visual organs capable of piercing chaotic mists.

It turns out, seeing too much isn’t a good thing; it’s easy to get blinded.

The transformation rate of the Neural System dropped by -3%.

”In the short term, this guy shouldn’t be coming out.”

Gao Gong muttered to himself, then bitterly smiled.

”This is self-inflicted punishment.”

According to memories from a past life, the ’Memory Materia’ did not develop an intellect in the early Cyber Tide.

Its emergence was undoubtedly caused by him, as if he had forcibly fluttered the chaos onto himself.

Initially, he was cautious, usually going with the flow and avoiding directly stirring history.

However, since Du Gao Technology’s entire crew entered the Safe House, combined with his own rapid strength advancement, he planned to take risks.

The result, predictably, was a mishap.

In memory, the ’Memory Materia’ only manifested its will mid-Cyber Tide, during the emergence of ’Pheromone Virus’ and ’Ancient Biological War,’ aided by the Skull Society members.

”So, was I the Skull Society member?”

Fortunately, although Gao Gong had a flair for reckless moves, he wasn’t lacking in skill. The craftsmanship honed from Rich Ladies directly created a ’Pseudo-timeline,’ which encapsulated the opponent.

This strategy was somewhat akin to the Deep Net’s method of sealing its Planet Host.

At least for the next three to four hours, the opponent isn’t coming out.

”Plans have changed, plans have changed.”

Gao Gong initially came to fish in troubled waters.

As long as I obtain the ’core control’ of the planet host, whether the fortress falls or not has nothing to do with me.

But it seems now, if I don’t participate in the plot and the fortress goes down, I’m probably the next to fall.

”Aramaki, I hope your plan is as I guessed.”

Gao Gong murmured to himself.

”Although I don’t have much faith in this plan of yours, feeding this Memory Mother is still possible.”

With that thought, Gao Gong tried to contact Yagami Suuji through an encrypted communication number.

He wanted to know how far the infiltration on the other side had progressed.

But the call didn’t go through.

...

In Yagami Suuji’s electronic eye, the communication channel from ’Gao Gong’ was forcibly closed.

She didn’t know why the other side was calling at this time, but at this critical juncture, any unexpected factor must be eliminated.

’Sorry, new Minister, I’ll apologize to you later, if I’m still alive then,’ thought Yagami Suuji.

”Ms. Supercomputer, map out the information for me.”

”Received.”

”Desperate Realm, when will your virus activate?”

”Three minutes.”

Yagami Suuji silently counted to 180, and sure enough, a strong pain surged from within her, as every bionic organ and artificial cell in her body split apart. This pain even caused intense hallucinations in her eyes, and in a daze, she seemed to see corpses of ’Yagami Suuji’.

These Yagami Suuji corpses had either broken necks at 90 degrees or oddly fractured limbs, piled into a small mountain.

The plan of Yagami Suuji, a bionic manufacturing plan implemented by Aramaki to ensure his arrangements could be successfully completed.

From tens of thousands of ’Yagami Suuji’, the most loyal to human society was chosen to ensure the plan could proceed after his departure.

Is it worth it?

A pawn manipulated by fate.

Yagami Suuji remained silent for a while, then finally stepped into the ’Colorless Flame’, and her entire body ignited.

The viral flames on her body almost seamlessly fused with the ’Colorless Flame’, rendering the defensive mechanisms of this planet firewall directly ineffective.

If this operation succeeded, then more than half of the plan was successful; the rest she had to do was to go to that core corridor to help the real fortress regain the authority of the planet host.

”Can it succeed?”

On the top floor of the hotel hosting the Cloud Nobility, Minister Clown twirled the Civilized Stick in his hand; behind the clown mask, his gaze was incomprehensible.

”Do you think they can succeed?”

No one spoke.

’Knock knock knock’, a knocking sound rang out.

”Minister, it’s time. You need to meet those nobles.”

The Clown shook his leg, carelessly opened the door, and without speaking, walked out first.

”Oh, by the way,” the Clown turned his head, his red nose almost poked the face of the accompanying staff.

”Did any other ministers come?”

”Vice Minister Huang from the Memory Supervision Department is here, but we can’t reach him at the moment. Minister Gao from the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division is also here, but he said he’ll be a bit late.”

”A bit late?”

The Clown tilted his head left and right, finally nodding as if understanding.

”A bit late is good, a bit late is good. As long as this person appears, it’s bound to be trouble, just like some righteous hero.”

...

Amidst a banquet that seemed quite shabby from the perspective of the Cloud Nobility.

”The new Minister of the Humanity Experiment Department is here.”

3rd Generation Miller, upon being reminded, looked up to see Minister Clown walk out from the staircase; his eyes narrowed, as the current patriarch of the Miller Clan, he had a keen perception for biological magnetic fields.

However, in the other party, he didn’t sense even the slightest biological magnetic field.

”It seems the Fortress Elder is busy, no time to receive us,” 3rd Generation Miller laughed.

The reception staff beside him, Mei Wanwan, smiling cheerfully said:

”The Fortress Elder’s system has to control global operations and generally does not descend in person.”

”Then can we still tour the planet host?”

”Of course, you have that authority.”

3rd Generation Miller looked to his side, where, in the distance, Patriarch Xie slowly stood up, his body appeared very heavy, not tall, but exuded an indescribable pressure.

On the other side, Black Rose, who had been staring out the window, turned back and revealed an alluring smile.

The smile was just like a real black rose, with thorns in the smile.
