The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 345: Chapter 345: Ultimately Mediocre_1

”Every power in Beijing is looking for him!”

”Since you want to become his student, you’ll just have to thicken your skin and corner him. It was only because your grandfather had advance knowledge of his academic seminar here that we knew where to find him. Others have been searching for so long, they probably haven’t even figured out his whereabouts.”

He appears amiable and approachable, but his eyes and brows betray an air of pride and dominance.

Caryn Zachmann fell into thought as if pondering her words.

Celine Tucker straightened her clothes, speaking to her in a leisurely manner, ”I heard that the Sullivan family is also looking for her. They brought a niece back from outside who also wants to apply to Tsinghua University, and she’s studying piano. Ivy Wilmar is intermediating, trying to introduce her to Mr. Norton, aiming for the title of ’student’ under him.”

Caryn Zachmann snorted with laughter, dismissing her words with disdain, ”The Sullivan family has found another nobody. They sure dream big! Not even considering whether the person they’re recommending is qualified.”

Celine Tucker pulled at her shawl indifferently, her gaze drifting, ”With Mr. Norton back in the country, everyone’s eager to place their child under his name. You should be well aware of Mr. Norton’s status in the music world; his students attract high levels of attention externally. Those he taught in his early years have now become powerful figures. Whether it’s for fame or for profit, there are plenty who’d fight for that position.”

”If you want to be a student, put aside what you call ’face’, otherwise the niece the Sullivans brought might just end up stepping on your head, snatching the opportunity before you!”

Her words struck a chord with Caryn Zachmann. She was determined to make a name for herself in Beijing’s ladies’ circle, and with such a great opportunity in front of her, how could she give it up.

Hearing this, she put aside her pride, clinging to her mother’s arm and cooing softly, ”I was just saying, I didn’t say I wouldn’t go. Mom, don’t worry, I’ll perform well later.”

”Alright. As long as you’ve thought it through,” said Celine patiently, patting the back of her hand, ”Be good when you meet Mr. Norton, and have you prepared the piece I asked you to practice?”

Caryn Zachmann smiled, and shook her phone confidently, ”Don’t worry, I’ve recorded the piece on my phone. When I meet Mr. Norton, I’ll find a chance to play it for him! This is the piece I won the piano association award with, and even the teachers praised it. Mr. Norton will surely be pleased.”

Celine Tucker, knowing her piano skills were solid, responded with a hum and a look of regret, ”Actually, Mr. Norton’s greatest talent is not in piano. He can play the piano, the violin, the saxophone, but the Konghou is his specialty. You know he’s a Konghou inheritor. A few years ago, it was said that Mr. Norton has been looking for someone to inherit his art, but then it quieted down, and I don’t know if he found anyone?”

”There aren’t many people in the country who can play the Konghou; it shouldn’t be that easy to find, right?” Caryn Zachmann herself wasn’t sure, wondering aloud, while a name emerged in her mind.

Lighten Chaser!

If one were to say who in the country could play the Konghou well, Lighten Chaser would probably be one.

But one is an underground rock musician, and the other is a mainstream-celebrated Konghou master; the two seem completely mismatched.

Lighten Chaser couldn’t possibly know Mr. Norton.

And nobody knows where ’he’ learned to play the Konghou, nor how he came up with the unique style of blending classical with rock.

How should one say it.

Unique is unique.

But it’s not mainstream!

The music of Lighten Chaser is too rebellious and wild, unable to grace the refined halls!
