The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 304: Chapter 304: Need to meet someone_1

Nathalie Quinlan’s expression suddenly turned cold, her lashes lowered as she looked at the caller ID on her phone, she paused before picking up.

”Hello.”

Her voice was very indifferent.

It was unclear what the person on the other end said, but she subconsciously tried to put her hand in her pocket and realized she was wearing a skirt and found it empty, which annoyed her slightly. Her eyebrows furrowed, and those dark, deep eyes lifted to look at a big and a small figure happily paying the bill not far away, then she brought her line of sight back and refocused on the phone call.

After a long while, she responded with an ’mm’, indifferently saying, ”Send me the address, I’ll be there in half an hour.”

Amadeus Yancey had just finished paying and came back in time to hear her words. His eyebrows raised as he watched her, asking, ”Do you have something to do later?”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t know how to explain it to him. After ending the call, she held the phone in her hand, hummed, and said casually, ”An elder I haven’t seen in a long time is back and has asked to meet with me.”

Amadeus Yancey didn’t ask who the elder was, his deep and narrow eyes simply gazing at her as he said, ”Do you want me to take you there?”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t plan to stay long and shook her head, saying, ”No need, he’s arranged to meet nearby, I can walk there myself.”

”Sister, aren’t you coming home with us?” Edric Yancey felt somewhat disappointed, clutching his little hand.

Nathalie Quinlan’s heart suddenly softened, and she bent down to pat his head, her voice becoming gentle, ”I have something to take care of, I’ll be back in the evening.”

”Oh.” Edric Yancey, though disappointed, was still incredibly well-behaved. His large, grape-like eyes looked at her and said, ”I’ll wait for my sister to come back.”

He was so good and sweet.

Nathalie Quinlan’s heart inexplicably felt tied up, she pursed her lips and unconsciously promised him, ”I’ll try to come back as early as I can. Be a good boy at home and listen to your uncle, and I’ll bring you a little gift when I come back tonight.”

Edric Yancey’s eyes lit up instantly, his disappointment vanished, looking as if he couldn’t wait for it to be evening already. He nodded vigorously, saying, ”Yes! I will definitely be good and listen to Uncle!”

Nathalie Quinlan’s lips curled up, charmed by his sweet expression, the mischief in her eyes not as intense. She patted his head again.

Edric Yancey was incredibly well-behaved, akin to a little tiger with tucked fangs pretending to be a kitten, comfortably squinting his eyes and enjoying Nathalie Quinlan’s touch.

After she finished stroking him, he still blinked his large eyes and asked very cleverly, ”Then... Sister, can I send you a message when I miss you?”

Nathalie Quinlan couldn’t help but remember the frequency of the little guy’s messages, and confronted by those eyes, she resignedly agreed.

”You can send them. But I might not be able to reply right away.”

After all, she was going to meet someone. Constantly playing with her phone while talking was disrespectful to the other person.

Edric Yancey, hearing that she would allow him to send messages, was already overjoyed. His fair little face flushed, even the tips of his ears turned red, and he quickly said, ”I will wait patiently for Sister to come home~”

Heehee, Uncle must be dying of envy.

Amadeus Yancey did indeed give him a glance, but his eyes held a restrained look, and his mouth bore a lazy curve, showing no signs of jealousy.

Alfred Garland saw his composed manner and the little master’s proud demeanor, understanding that the little master had once again been utterly calculated by Amadeus. When it came time to contact Ms. Quinlan, he would still be led into a trap by Amadeus, and he couldn’t help but twitch at the corners of his mouth.

Since she was going to meet someone,

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t wait for Audrick Zachmann to finish selecting the gift, she told Alfred Garland and the others and went ahead to the agreed location.

The meeting place set by Myles Sullivan was in the city center too, but not on the commercial side, it was in the outskirts’ white-collar suburb.
