The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 338: Chapter 338: Can’t Wait to See That Scene_1

As long as Ghania Quinlan could get into Tsinghua University, the Quinlan Family would still have a chance to turn things around.

Emilia Sullivan gave him a disgruntled look, with an expression that said he was fussing over nothing, her eyes softening as she spoke, ”I know! You don’t have to tell me, I wouldn’t disturb her studies anyway. We are just going to give her the admission ticket and some supplementary materials, we’ll stay for two days and then leave.”

”Yeah.” If it wasn’t for delivering the exam admission ticket to Ghania Quinlan, Jeff Quinlan wouldn’t have wanted to go to Beijing at all, let alone visit the Sullivan Family.

”In any case, whether Ghania could get into Tsinghua University depends on this time. I hope she can make it! Ah, I’m such a useless father. I could help her out at home before, but now I’m doing well not to be a burden to her.”

Emilia Sullivan had genuinely loved him when she married him. She’d been by his side every step of the way, from a small company to its listing on the stock market, and now. To say they had no feelings would be a lie.

It was precisely because she had feelings, that seeing him so down and out made her heart ache. She was about to reach out and comfort him when, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a person resting on a bench not too far away.

”Nathalie Quinlan?” She couldn’t help but exclaim.

How could she be everywhere? It’s like seeing a ghost!

Nathalie Quinlan was sitting far from them and with so many people in the airport, surrounded by chatter everywhere, occasionally interrupted by the sound of paging announcements, she didn’t hear Emilia Sullivan calling her name at all.

But Jeff Quinlan, standing right beside Emilia Sullivan, followed her gaze to Nathalie Quinlan upon hearing her exclaim that name.

It had been half a month since they last saw her.

The Girl was still the same.

Whether standing or sitting, she never looked proper, always appearing lazy; her attire was simple, either a hoodie or T-shirt. But after what had happened before, he could no longer look at his foster daughter the same way.

So, upon hearing Emilia Sullivan’s undisguised tone of disgust as she said, ”What is she doing here?” Jeff Quinlan felt complicated emotions. He gazed from afar at that presence that, even hidden behind a Duckbill Cap, seemed to shine and gently tugged at her arm, ”Here for the exams, I bet.”

”The exams?”

Emilia Sullivan was stunned for a full second before she realized.

”That’s right, you mentioned she would also be taking part in the independent recruitment exams for Tsinghua University.”

”With her grades, what gave her the confidence to take part in Tsinghua University’s independent recruitment exams? She doesn’t really think she can get into Tsinghua, does she?”

Her words left Jeff Quinlan without a response.

How could he respond?

Tell her that Tsinghua University had taken an interest in Nathalie Quinlan, and she was nearly admitted without taking the exams?

Or say that he believed Nathalie Quinlan could get in?

Emilia Sullivan didn’t know what he was thinking, but as usual, she looked down on her own foster daughter and said coldly, ”It’s good she’s going. Ghania told me her grades have improved a lot this month, now she can score 580. She’s confidently within the top 30 for the cultural subjects, and as long as she performs well in the specialized subjects, Ghania told me she’s 80 percent sure of getting into Tsinghua!”

”Isn’t Nathalie Quinlan’s father a professor at Tsinghua? If she doesn’t get in this time, that would really be a disgrace!”

One gets in, and the other doesn’t.

Wouldn’t it be embarrassing for the one who doesn’t get in?

Emilia Sullivan couldn’t wait to witness that scene!

She lowered her voice and said to him, ”Ghania privately told me that Zayn Fisher has spoken to his tutor for her, I think Ghania’s got a secure spot at Tsinghua.”

Jeff Quinlan didn’t understand what was going through her mind and quickly gave her a stern look to keep her voice down, ”Don’t talk about this when we get to Beijing!”
