The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 315: Chapter 315: Don’t Stress if You Can’t Pass _1

Her class’s students were going to participate in the independent recruitment of Tsinghua University, and after asking teachers from No. 5 Middle School, she knew that Ghania Quinlan had also gone there and had not attended classes at No. 5 Middle School since she transferred.

It was said that her family had pulled some strings to get supplementary lessons in Beijing.

Beijing, being the capital, was superior in all aspects to McKinney. Even though Ghania Quinlan’s grades were average, she was pursuing an artistic path, different from Nathalie Quinlan, who was aiming for a more traditional professional subject; for art students, the required scores tend to be lower. Moreover, with her family’s good financial situation, she got an early start studying with famed teachers in Beijing, meaning her chances of getting into Tsinghua University seemed better than Nathalie’s.

But no matter how good Ghania was, she was a student of another class.

She would definitely stand by the students of her own class!

Nancy Sullivan didn’t say that she had also cast a vote in the school forum using a secondary account, betting that Nathalie Quinlan would get in.

As she handed over the leave request, she also pulled out from her drawer a set of past Tsinghua University independent recruitment exam papers and gave them to Nathalie.

”I found these online, the papers for 2018 aren’t available, but you have everything from 2010 to 2019 right here. Take advantage of the next few days to go through them thoroughly, study the direction of their questions, it might be useful for you.”

Nathalie had already reviewed the past Tsinghua University exam papers, but she hadn’t expected Nancy Sullivan to go out of her way to collect this information for her. Taken aback, she accepted the papers handed to her and pursed her lips, glancing at her, ”Thank you, Mr. Sullivan.”

Her voice wasn’t that of a coquettish girl typically associated with her age.

It sounded slightly husky.

It seemed resilient, yet somewhat wild.

On someone else, this might be taken as a lack of concern, but Nancy Sullivan had taught her for half a year and had a fairly good understanding of her character. Knowing that Nathalie was the kind to be cool on the outside but warm on the inside, she would say thank you only if she genuinely appreciated the gesture. Nancy’s face inadvertently broke into a smile as she patted Nathalie’s shoulder, ”Go for it!”

There were other class and subject teachers in the office.

Nathalie had a well-known reputation.

Most teachers at No. 1 Middle School recognized her.

Seeing that Nancy Sullivan was both signing her leave request and providing her with review materials, they offered their blessings, ”Nathalie, do your best when you take the test in Beijing.”

”Exactly, believe in yourself!”

”You’re a top student from No. 1 Middle School’s honors class and Mr. Sullivan’s student, you’ll definitely make it.”

”That’s right, don’t put too much pressure on yourself.”

Nancy Sullivan feared that Nathalie might feel too much pressure knowing that Ghania Quinlan was also taking the Tsinghua exam. Seeing them one after another egging her on, she shot a sharp look their way, saying irritably, ”Are you guys done yet? I’ve said not to pressure her, and with all of you saying this, isn’t it just adding to her pressure?”

The homeroom teacher of Class C had seen her go from disliking Nathalie to protecting her at every turn and couldn’t help but laugh out loud, raising his hand to the others, ”Alright, alright, let’s stop. No more, lest Mr. Sullivan gets angry!”

In the past, when the homeroom teacher of Class B, Gabriella Cagwin, had bullied Nathalie, he had stood up for her.

Being a language arts teacher himself, he didn’t say much else but walked up to Nathalie and stuffed a copy of ”Outstanding College Entrance Exam Compositions” into her hands, his chubby face beaming as he said, ”Take this, memorize a couple of essays when you go back. If Tsinghua’s language test includes an essay question, use the good phrases from these compositions, add a few of your own, and at least put together an essay. Don’t leave it blank!”

The scores for compositions were not low.

It was baffling whether Nathalie simply couldn’t write or chose not to, but in every exam, the essay section in her language test sheet would be blank—no words at all!

It distressed him greatly.
