The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 311: Chapter 311: Does Anyone Miss You_1

Amadeus Yancey stood with his arms crossed, raising his eyebrows; his seemingly amused, haughty demeanor was criminally charming!

”Worry about what?”

Audrick Zachmann cursed ’troublemaker’ in his heart, withdrew his line of sight, and almost blurted out, ”Isn’t it that you have feelings for Nathalie,” but swallowed the words, changing them to, ”Nathalie didn’t say when she would be back tonight, and she doesn’t want us to pick her up. Aren’t you worried she might be meeting with boys her age?”

He couldn’t stand to see Amadeus Yancey so composed, so he deliberately said, ”Who knows, maybe they’re watching a movie at the cinema right now, and later they’ll hold hands while shopping...”

He started by deliberately trying to rile up Amadeus Yancey, but as he spoke, he unwittingly clenched his molars, suppressing the bitterness in his heart, and continued sarcastically, ”That Justin Wafford looks like the type who is good at sweet-talking girls. Nathalie hasn’t really dated before, once she falls for it... I don’t have a problem with it, it just means gaining a brother-in-law...”

Amadeus Yancey’s gaze gradually deepened, the corners of his eyes seeming to show a trace of bloodthirst, but it disappeared in a flash.

When Audrick Zachmann looked again, he saw Amadeus Yancey fiddling with the silver bracelet on his wrist, leaning back in his chair, half-closing his eyelids, the lines of his jaw flowing smoothly, his face so handsome it was envy-inducing.

”If you’re talking about that, I’m not worried.”

”?”

Audrick Zachmann paused, puzzled.

Didn’t Amadeus care at all? Didn’t he like Nathalie?

When Amadeus Yancey lifted his eyelids again, a flicker of dark light shone in his narrow eyes, his face exuded power and confidence, his voice hoarse, ”A woman who runs with lions won’t fall in love with a mongrel.”

He wasn’t without that confidence.

What was more important.

”I trust her.”

If Nathalie Quinlan said she was going to meet an elder, then that’s what it was, he believed!

Having said that, he paid no more attention to the ’fly’ buzzing around him, glanced at the phone on the table; it was just six o’clock, still early.

Amadeus Yancey returned his attention back to the matters at hand.

Pinecone Group.

Nathalie Quinlan had just pushed open the door to Silvania Ingram’s office when she couldn’t help but sneeze.

Silvania Ingram was waiting for her, wondering why she hadn’t arrived yet.

Hearing the sneeze at the door, she immediately put down her work, stood up from the leather chair, and before seeing the person, she asked with undisguised concern, ”Nathalie, are you catching a cold...”

Before she could finish, she already saw the girl walking in through the door.

The girl was staggeringly beautiful, bold and radiant, every facial feature perfect, her porcelain-white skin as tender as a freshly peeled egg.

But that was not the point.

The point was she was taken aback by Nathalie Quinlan’s fairy-like attire, especially when she saw the little star-shaped hair clip in her hair, and her mouth hung open for a long time.

This...

What was this situation?

Nathalie Quinlan was dressed in a fairy dress, with her hair down, wearing a star hair clip...

If this were any other girl her age, she might not be surprised – after all, young girls like cute and ladylike things – but with Nathalie Quinlan... Silvania Ingram was at a loss for quite a while.

Nathalie Quinlan saw her shocked expression, felt a throb at her temples, and was unsure how to explain the origin of her outfit.

Not being someone who was good at explaining herself, she decided not to explain, walked over, set down what she was holding, and said, ”It’s probably not a cold, I don’t have the symptoms, just suddenly sneezed.”

Silvania Ingram, after all in her forties, had seen all there was to see in the world. After a brief moment of astonishment, she quickly regained her composure. Since Nathalie Quinlan did not elaborate, she didn’t ask further and followed up with a light laugh, ”Could it be that someone is thinking of you?”
