The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 336: Chapter 336: Nathalie is going to Beijing (1)

The teachers of the Chinese Medicine department saw him like that, all feeling a bitter helplessness, silently hoping in their hearts that this year there would be a promising student who wouldn’t disdain Chinese Medicine and choose their department...

Nathalie Quinlan was still unaware of what had happened at Tsinghua University, let alone the fact that, because she rejected Adelle Wafford’s invitation, Adelle had taken out her frustration on the Chinese Medicine department, publicly humiliating them in front of all the faculty at the conference.

Because she had to go to Beijing to take an exam, she had been very busy lately.

On one hand, she was busy finding medicine for Lowie Wilmar, and on the other, she had to squeeze in some time to review practice questions.

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was the 3rd, the day she was to go to Beijing.

The airplane was scheduled to depart at half-past ten in the morning, but Nathalie Quinlan didn’t arrive at the airport until ten.

She was dressed in a white long-sleeved T-shirt, topped with a pair of denim shorts, revealing a pair of long and straight legs that drew plenty of attention just by themselves.

Not to mention her face, looking delicate and well-shaped under the duckbill cap, with just the curve of her jawline hinting at the stunning features hidden beneath the hat.

Nathalie Quinlan had only brought a black backpack, which she slung over her shoulder, her eyes half-closed as if she wasn’t fully awake, exuding a ’keep away from me’ aura.

Amadeus Yancey walked beside her, finding her sleepwalking-like state somewhat amusing before he leaned down and asked in a soft voice, ”Want some coffee? There’s a coffee shop over there, I can go buy you a cup.”

”Hmm?” Nathalie Quinlan raised her delicate eyebrows, showing little interest. She didn’t like sticky drinks like coffee and milk tea, but she was feeling a bit sleepy now, her long eyelashes drooping as she reluctantly nodded, ”A mocha, no sugar.”

Alfred Garland, who was with them, heard her request for a mocha without sugar and suddenly laughed, ”Miss Quinlan, mocha is quite bitter, and you don’t want sugar. You might not be able to drink it. How about I get you a cappuccino instead? I’ve noticed you girls usually like that, it’s not so bitter.”

”I want a mocha.” She had tried a cappuccino once; despite its nice-sounding name, it tasted neither like coffee nor milk tea, as if someone had dumped half a cup of sugar into it, which was even worse than ordinary coffee.

Amadeus Yancey’s thin lips curved into a smile, his slender, deep eyes affectionately glancing at the half-asleep figure beside him before he lazily said, ”Just a mocha? You don’t want anything else?”

”What else can an airport have?” Nathalie Quinlan arched an eyebrow and looked at him, her eyes conveying a ’you must be joking’ sentiment.

Amadeus couldn’t help but laugh, his mood lifting by the moment as he handed her the bag, ”There are some chairs over there; sit and wait for me, I’ll be back with it in a moment.”

”Alright.” Nathalie Quinlan had no objections as she pulled her luggage, agreeing promptly.

She had stayed up until three-thirty in the morning the previous night, looking into Lynette Kingsley’s case, and hadn’t fallen asleep even after lying down, vaguely dozing off around six in the morning only to reluctantly awake again.

After just three hours of sleep, she had been roused to catch the airplane.

Speaking honestly, she could fall asleep immediately if someone handed her a pillow right now.

Alfred Garland saw her casually ordering the refined gentleman around as usual and twitched the corner of his mouth before quickly handing his luggage to Nathalie Quinlan, saying in a hurry, ”Miss Quinlan, could you also watch my luggage for a moment? I’m going to help Amadeus.”

Nathalie Quinlan unexpectedly found herself with another suitcase in her hands. She touched the brim of her cap, a bit speechless.

It was just buying a coffee, was there really a need for help?

But since Alfred Garland was one of Amadeus’s people, she didn’t say anything, quietly dragging the two suitcases toward a nearby bench.

The airport was filled with benches provided for passengers to rest, where travelers waiting for their flights or those who had arrived early could rest before their planes took off.

The spot Nathalie Quinlan picked was conveniently located near the entrance to the airport’s waiting hall.
