After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 198: Chapter 199: Powerful Production Lineup [8]

Luo Xiaoqian stuck out her tongue; France was six hours behind her, and she was so nervous that she had completely forgotten about it.

”Well then, good afternoon, shall I... hang up?”

Luo Xiaoqian carefully hung up the phone and only then realized that her palms were drenched in cold sweat.

Once she had made up for the 100,000 shortfall, she would immediately stop; sneaking around like this was really too much for her frail heart to take!

...

...

The next day, as soon as Luo Xiaoqian arrived at the Emperor View Building, Yu Tong was there waiting for her in the lobby.

The two hurried to the recording studio, and when they were alone in the elevator, Yu Tong immediately leaned in with a smile.

”I’ve transferred the money to your account, the additional 20,000 isn’t in the contract, so the company doesn’t take a cut from it. After deducting Rui and my service fees, you have a little over 60,000!”

”How can that be?” Luo Xiaoqian was shocked, ”Even if we don’t give the company a cut, those 20,000 should be split between the two of us, right?”

”Oh, come on, we’re not lacking that one or two thousand now. Later on, when you’re so famous you’re purple, just give me a larger year-end bonus!” Yu Tong laughed, ”We’re in the same boat, no need for formalities. Besides, I’ve also earned several thousand myself, it’s not a small amount. Since joining Emperor View, this is the biggest cut I’ve gotten. But speaking of which, the company is really good to you. Normally for newcomers like you, the company would take at least a 30% cut, but you only have a 10% cut, which is the lowest I’ve seen!”

Regarding the contract, Luo Xiaoqian hadn’t even read it carefully.

Hearing Yu Tong say this, she could easily infer that this was yet another special treatment from Leng Zimo, which made her feel even more guilt-ridden.

”Yu Tong, I’m still short forty thousand. Can we stop once we have enough money, please?!”

”Alright, if that’s the case, we might only need to do it one or two more times. I’ve already asked some familiar friends to help you inquire.” Yu Tong nodded, ”If you weren’t in urgent need of money, I wouldn’t have agreed to let you do commercial performances. Right now, the most important thing for you is this single. You need to record it and shoot a music video. Once the single is out, a series of appearances will probably follow, and then we’ll be really busy!”

The two chatted all the way and soon arrived at the twelfth floor.

Upon entering Studio Number Three and seeing Ya Nan stand up, Luo Xiaoqian looked surprised, ”Teacher Ya Nan?”

”What, seeing me like this surprises you? Are you worried I won’t record it well?” Ya Nan asked with a smile.

”Of course not!” Luo Xiaoqian approached to shake his hand, ”I truly didn’t expect you to be the one to help me record!”

To have someone like Ya Nan, a dedicated producer for many big names, recording for a newcomer like her, Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t help but be surprised.

”If you knew who the lyricist is, I guarantee you’d be even more surprised!” Ya Nan said laughingly as he passed the sheet music to her.

Now, the lyrics and the music score were both ready.

Under the composer section, Luo Xiaoqian’s name was written, and below that, the lyricist field prominently displayed the name Lin Xi.

Just as Ya Nan had said, this took Luo Xiaoqian by another surprise.

”Is this... that Lin Xi?”

Nearly every one of her songs was a classic; many famous songs that catapulted celebrities to fame in music circles across the straits were written by her.

Curious, Yu Tong too came over to look, and upon seeing the name, she also exclaimed in shock.

”Oh my god, Xiao Qian, this is definitely a powerful lineup; the company has really gone all out for you this time!”

...

The next update will probably be after midnight, those of you who need to get up early, don’t wait up.
