After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 179: Chapter 180: Good for you!【12】

He had come to understand her personality quite well by now.

Last time’s incident with Lu Hao was already a precedent. If she was really demanding how to treat Shen Xinyi, he would be surprised instead.

As the car left the hospital, Luo Xiaoqian’s phone rang once again, still from an unknown number.

”Hello?”

”Miss Luo Xiaoqian, this is Yu Tong. I’m the economic agent arranged for you by the company. I know your finger is injured and requires rest. I would just like to know when you might be coming to the company to start work so that I can make arrangements.”

”I...” Luo Xiaoqian glanced at Leng Zimo beside her, ”Can it be tomorrow? I think I need one more day of rest!”

”Of course, that’s fine. Tomorrow is Monday anyway, all departments will be in place. I have some work and materials to prepare, so we’ll meet at the company at ten o’clock tomorrow? I’ll wait for you in the company lobby,” Yu Tong said on the other end.

”Okay!”

Luo Xiaoqian hung up the phone and her gaze naturally shifted to Leng Zimo, only to see that he was looking at her sideways, the anger in his eyes replaced with a faint smile.

She was taking the initiative to rest at home for a day, which pleased him greatly.

”Good girl,” he murmured three words, and turned the steering wheel, driving the car directly onto the highway leading to the suburbs, taking her to a quiet farmhouse for lunch. Afterwards, he dropped her off at his lakeside villa in the countryside and handed her a set of keys from the glove compartment.

”I’ll probably be back very late tonight, order takeout for yourself!”

”Okay!”

She took the keys and stepped out of the car.

”Just like that, you’re leaving?” Leng Zimo said in a deep voice behind her.

Rolling her eyes behind his back with a supremely disdainful expression, Luo Xiaoqian turned back around with a face of feigned obedience. Kneeling on the car seat, she placed one hand on his shoulder and gently kissed his face. Then she hopped out of the car and closed the door.

”Drive slowly, be careful on the road!” she said, stepping aside and bowing like a valet at a hotel entrance.

Leng Zimo glanced at her and started the car.

”Big bad wolf! Try to eat me, and see how my Shadowless Kick will burst your chrysanthemum!”

Watching him drive away, Luo Xiaoqian immediately stuck out her tongue and made a face, then kicked out in his direction for good measure.

Seeing her actions in the rearview mirror, Leng Zimo’s eyebrows twitched, but a light smile spread across his lips.

The girl was still in the mood for pranks behind his back, indicating her energy and mood were good.

Excellent!

He pressed down on the accelerator, driving out of the community and then hitting the car’s phone to dial Ailin’s number.

”Get everyone ready, I’ll be at the conference room within an hour!”

Monday’s strategy plan must be sent to the company in the United States for confirmation, so tonight, the movie’s plan must be finished no matter what.

That evening, Leng Zimo worked overtime all night and sent her a message not to wait for him.

The next day, Luo Xiaoqian got up early, walked twenty minutes to the nearby bus station, and took the bus to Emperor View.

Being Monday, the commute was at its peak, and she was nearly squeezed into a pancake, but thankfully the journey went smoothly and by ten o’clock, she managed to arrive at Emperor View Building.

Inside the building, beautifully dressed men and women bustled about.

As she entered the building, she saw a girl with a ponytail standing on one side of the lobby, looking towards the entrance.

”Are you Yu Tong?”

Luo Xiaoqian walked over and asked tentatively.
