After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 167: Chapter 168: Really Cute [12]

In music, Jiao Yang was not only well-versed but also had very strong personal insights.

Regardless of what type of music Luo Xiaoqian mentioned, he could provide some analysis and commentary on it, from classical music to the currently popular R&B, from jazz to country...

Unlike Leng Zimo, who was sparing with his words, Jiao Yang was witty and often made humorous remarks, which frequently made Luo Xiaoqian burst into light laughter.

”That song ’White Moonlight’ you sang in the semifinals was very interestingly adapted. I liked it a lot!” Jiao Yang wiped the grease from his lips with a napkin, ”If I’m not mistaken, I think, you must be quite good at writing your own songs.”

”It’s not so much about being good, I just like to write for fun. But, that ’White Moonlight’ really wasn’t modified by me!” Luo Xiaoqian pondered briefly, ”It was amended by a genius!”

”I see!” Jiao Yang nodded lightly and didn’t hide his admiration, ”Although the changes were minor, the song clearly gained more power. It seems that person understands you very well; must be a good friend of yours, right?”

Friend?

Leng Zimo?

As to what he really was to her, she hadn’t really thought about that question.

”I guess!” Luo Xiaoqian answered offhandedly.

”I’m equally interested in meeting him, and if possible, I hope to have the chance to meet him through you in the future.”

Luo Xiaoqian responded noncommittally, but in her heart, she was shaking her head.

He wants to meet Leng Zimo?

Forget it!

If that guy found out she was having dinner with this man, he’d bite her head off.

”Now that we’ve finished eating, could you please return the photograph to me?” Luo Xiaoqian reached out her hand towards him again.

”After our conversation today, I’ve realized you’re even better than I had imagined!” Jiao Yang set down his napkin and straightened up, his face now serious, ”Wouldn’t you consider it a bit more?”

”Really, I’m sorry!” Luo Xiaoqian said with a smile as she hooked her fingers.

”You’re the first person to ever refuse me so decisively; you’ve taken my first like that!” Jiao Yang, looking aggrieved, reached into his suit pocket, pulled out the photo, and reluctantly placed it in her palm.

Luo Xiaoqian was about to close her fingers when he suddenly drew back the photo.

”Xiao Qian, I can call you that, right?” He sat up straight, showing her a dazzling smile, ”Even if you can’t work at my company, at least we can still be friends, right?”

For the first time in his life, Jiao Yang felt a little unwilling to be rejected so outright by a woman.

”Of course!” Luo Xiaoqian replied with a smile.

Although she didn’t know his exact identity, judging by his manner and demeanor, she believed he must also be a significant figure in the entertainment industry. She appreciated his approval and didn’t mind having one more friend who was insightful about music.

”I knew you couldn’t possibly have the heart to refuse me!” Jiao Yang laughed as he placed the photo in her hand, ”You were very cute when you were little!”

Making a funny face, Luo Xiaoqian retorted, ”I’m still very cute!”

Watching her expression, Jiao Yang laughed gently, ”Indeed, very cute!”

As the two walked out together, Luo Xiaoqian rushed to the cashier to pay the bill, only to be told that it had already been settled.

”Didn’t we agree that I was going to treat you?” She turned to look at Jiao Yang.

Shrugging his shoulders, Jiao Yang responded, ”I don’t have the habit of letting women pay for meals!”
