After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 161: Chapter 161: It Seems Like You Owe Me a Favor [5]

”Xiao Qian!” Xu Xia pushed the door and came in.

Luo Xiaoqian covered the box, turned her face to see her, and immediately smiled, ”Have you finished your class?”

”Not yet, we just had a meeting, arranged for a closed training session in a few days, we’re on a ten-minute break, I still have to go back to class soon!” Xu Xia said with a smile as she walked over, ”What about you? Any plans? Where are you heading after this?”

”Me?” Luo Xiaoqian shrugged her shoulders, ”The company hasn’t arranged anything yet, I was thinking of getting this evening gown cleaned!”

”You’ll be transferring to Emperor View soon, and I’ll be busy with training, so it’ll be hard to see each other,” Xu Xia said, holding her arm, ”Xiao Qian, remember, even though we’re not together, I’ll always be your strongest support. If anyone dares to bully you, call me, and I’ll rush over immediately to put an end to them!”

”Alright!” Luo Xiaoqian laughed and lightly punched her with her left hand, ”I’m not that fragile, and you don’t need to worry about me. You should focus on preparing for the competition and aim to win a national championship for me!”

Xu Xia saluted her crisply, ”Yer, madam!”

Suddenly, her phone began to vibrate. Luo Xiaoqian glanced at the screen, which displayed an unfamiliar number. As she hesitated whether to answer it, someone outside had already started calling Xu Xia’s name.

”I need to go back to class now, Xiao Qian, take care of yourself, and be careful with your hand. Call me if you need anything!” Xu Xia hurriedly spoke a rush of words and dashed next door for her class.

Looking at the still vibrating phone, Luo Xiaoqian slid her finger across the screen and answered the call.

”Hello?”

”It seems you owe me a favor!”

From the phone came a lazy and pleasant male voice.

”Who is this?”

The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn’t immediately identify its owner.

”You forgot about me in just a few hours?” the man’s tone was disappointed and plaintive, ”If I had known, I should have just driven you away last night!”

With that said, Luo Xiaoqian of course remembered who he was.

”You’re...”

As she spoke, she stalled again.

Although she knew he was the man from last night, she still didn’t know who he actually was.

”Jiao Yang!” The man volunteered his name from the other end of the phone, ”So, to repay me for the favor you owe, would you consider having dinner with me tonight?”

”Sure!” Luo Xiaoqian immediately agreed.

Repaying the favor was secondary; her primary goal, of course, was to get the photo back.

”I like your straightforwardness!” Jiao Yang laughed over the phone and rattled off the address of a famous French restaurant in Beijing, ”One o’clock, don’t be late!”

Without giving Luo Xiaoqian a chance to say another word, he hung up.

”Hello!” Luo Xiaoqian wanted to remind him not to forget the photo, but the line was already dead.

Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly dialed back the incoming call, only to find it was busy.

After waiting a while and trying again, nobody answered despite the call ringing seven or eight times.

No way!

Is he behaving just like Leng Zimo, either calling or not picking up, and not even giving others a chance to speak?

After calling several times without success, Luo Xiaoqian dropped her left hand in resignation.

Just as she hung up, Ailin pushed the door and came in.

”So you were here; I’ve been looking everywhere for you. I’ve been trying to call you, and it’s been busy!”

”I was just on a call!” Luo Xiaoqian said, busy putting down her phone, ”Did you need something?”
