After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 186: Chapter 187: Urgent Situation【7】

As soon as Yu Tong finished speaking, Luo Xiaoqian’s phone in her purse began to ring.

She took out the phone and answered it, puzzled by the long-distance number from her hometown displayed on the screen.

”Is this Luo Xiaoqian? I’m Doctor Zhang from Qingdao People’s Hospital!”

The doctor was looking for her?!

”What can I do for you?” Luo Xiaoqian asked.

”The situation is this, Li Sumin’s condition has recently deteriorated sharply, and she is now unconscious. We must perform surgery immediately. Lu Hao came to the hospital a few days ago, and I’ve already informed him about this situation. At that time, he paid ten thousand for the medical fees and promised to cover the surgery costs within a few days, but I haven’t been able to reach him since. His phone has been turned off. I found your phone number in Li Sumin’s phone, so I wanted to see if there was any way you could get in touch with Lu Hao. If Li Sumin doesn’t have surgery in time, I dread to think of the consequences!”

Because Luo Xiaoqian often accompanied Lu Hao’s mother, Li Sumin, to the hospital when she was in Qingdao, Doctor Zhang, her attending physician, naturally assumed she was Lu Hao’s girlfriend, which is why he called her.

Lu Hao, that bastard, not even caring for his own mother!

Luo Xiaoqian was so angry she clenched her teeth, ”How much is the surgery going to cost?”

”Aside from the remaining ten thousand and a bit, we still need sixty thousand. If the surgery is successful, she will be able to recover and be discharged from the hospital, then she just needs to keep up with chemotherapy!”

Sixty thousand?!

Luo Xiaoqian frowned.

Where was she going to find sixty thousand yuan now?

She took her wallet out of her purse, looked through the few thousand yuan left in it, and her eyes fell on the gold card Leng Zimo had given her. She bit her lip, ”Alright, give me an account number, and I’ll transfer the money right away. Please start the surgery on her, and I’ll try to contact Lu Hao!”

”Okay, I will send you a text with the hospital’s account number in a moment!”

Doctor Zhang hung up the phone and shortly after, a text message arrived with the account name being People’s Hospital followed by a string of numbers.

”I have some urgent matters to attend to. I need to step out, Yu Tong. You and Teacher Xu take a break for a while. I’ll be back soon and we can continue with the selection, okay?” Luo Xiaoqian picked up her bag from the table.

”Do you need me to come with you?” Yu Tong asked.

”No need, I can go on my own!” Luo Xiaoqian inquired about the nearest bank, gave Xu Xiaoyang a nod, and then hurriedly walked out of the door.

She walked straight to the elevator and on the way dialed Lu Hao’s phone number, hesitating for a few seconds before finally making the call.

A matter of life and death; she couldn’t afford to worry too much.

Soon, the familiar tone came through.

”I’m sorry, the number you have dialed is switched off!”

”Scumbag, human trash, didn’t you sell yourself for a good amount of money? How can you ignore even your own mother!” Luo Xiaoqian cursed under her breath and still made her way out of Emperor View, heading to the nearest bank.

As a gold card VIP, she received a warm welcome from the bank staff who led her to the VIP room. The staff politely served her hot tea as Luo Xiaoqian copied down the account number from the text message and gave it to him.

”How much would you like to transfer to this account?” The other party asked politely after taking the piece of paper.

Luo Xiaoqian thought for a moment and reluctantly gave a figure, ”Sixty thousand... No, make it a hundred thousand.”

Although the surgery only needed sixty thousand, the postoperative chemotherapy would cost money too. It seemed Lu Hao, that bastard, was unreliable.
