After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 166: Chapter 166 Where is my photo? [10]

Having resettled in the car, Luo Xiaoqian chewed on the chocolate in her mouth as her gaze stealthily shifted towards him.

She contemplated internally whether or not to tell him the truth.

The nicer he was to her, the more she felt like a guilty thief.

”I...”

”Where to?”

Just as she had uttered the word ’I’, Leng Zimo had already asked his question.

The two of them had spoken almost simultaneously.

Luo Xiaoqian provided the address near the restaurant, and the car immediately made a turn, heading onto the correct route.

Throughout the journey, she remained entangled in her dilemma, to tell or not to tell.

If she were to tell him, and this guy found out she had lied to him again, he would be really angry, wouldn’t he?

Today, the relationship between the two was uncommonly harmonious, and she really didn’t want to make things awkward again.

After all, it was just a meal. Afterwards, she would take the photo and leave, never to have any interaction with Jiao Yang again.

Yes, that was the plan!

With this thought, she immediately felt at ease.

In the meantime, Leng Zimo had already driven to the location she mentioned and stopped the car by the side of the road.

”We’ve arrived!”

”Thank you!”

Luo Xiaoqian opened the car door and stepped out. Suddenly, she pivoted back, leaned in, and quickly kissed him on the face, then ran off as if fleeing the scene.

Watching her figure disappear into the crowd, Leng Zimo lifted his hand and touched the spot she had kissed, feeling the slight stickiness of chocolate.

That darn girl, she did that on purpose, didn’t she!

He took a piece of tissue paper, pulled down the mirror above him, slightly turned his face, and looked at the chocolate-stained lip print she left. He twitched his lips and then a smile formed.

...

...

After crossing through the mall on the ground floor, Luo Xiaoqian got on the restaurant elevator, heading to the top-floor restaurant.

Lightly licking the chocolate from the corner of her lips, she thought about what she had just done, her face turning red.

Had she gone crazy along with him? Even if it was to express gratitude, did she really have to kiss him?

This is bad, so bad.

That guy, he couldn’t possibly think that she had fallen for him, could he?!

No, she would have to explain it clearly to him when she got back, but how do you explain such a thing?

Leng Zimo, I won’t fall for you, I kissed you just because I am grateful?

”You think you’re going to be the first woman to stand me up in history!”

In front of her, a lazy and pleasant male voice abruptly emerged.

Luo Xiaoqian snapped back to reality and saw Jiao Yang standing outside the elevator, looking as if he was about to leave.

Today, he had also changed into a more formal suit, but his temperament was entirely different from Leng Zimo’s.

Leng Zimo was the type who could make sportswear look crisp, but Jiao Yang was the exact opposite— even the most formal suit seemed to take on a rakish air when he wore it.

Luo Xiaoqian stepped out of the elevator. ”There was something I had to take care of, so I’m late!”

”You’re not too late; at least I haven’t left yet,” Jiao Yang shrugged his shoulders, accompanied her back into the restaurant, and made his way to a secluded seat, lazily gesturing to the approaching waiter, ”Bring the dishes we ordered earlier!”

Clearly, he had already ordered the meal before. By the time they settled in their chairs, the waiter had already served the appetizer.

In the exquisitely arranged plates, the red caviar atop the sauce gleamed like pearls.

”I don’t know what you like to eat, so I ordered according to my taste,” Jiao Yang sat up straight a bit, ”If you don’t like it, you can change it!”

”No need,” Luo Xiaoqian said from across the table, ”Where’s my photo?”
