High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2215: Chapter 436: The Giant Hand

”Don’t look into their eyes!”

On the other side, Mister Vampire Werewolf groaned deeply, his bat wings suddenly spread wide, shedding a charred skin shell that crashed heavily to the ground. He growled, ”Those gazes contain a powerful curse... and some kind of terrifying pollution!”

His pale face was buried beneath rapidly growing coarse black wolf hair, two curved fangs protruded from the corners of his mouth, and his pair of bat wings drooped weakly on the ground.

Zheng Qing had never seen Dylan look so woeful.

”Sleep Without Perception, where arrows fly with balance!”

Xiao Xiao swiftly pulled open his Bamboo Slip Law Book, several spells combining ’close eyes’ and ’flying arrow’ effects shot out from the slender bamboo slips, swift as lightning, instantly shattering a few eyeballs hidden in the monster’s palm, casting malicious glances at the young sorcerers.

Crack!

A turtle shell hanging at his waist emitted an ear-piercing sound of shattering.

Almost simultaneously, a strange burst taste spread in the mouths of everyone who witnessed this scene, as if they themselves had bitten and crushed those eyeballs. Accompanying the sour burst taste, Zheng Qing felt a boiling sensation of magic power throughout his body.

However, this sensation only lasted for an instant, disappearing completely with a little green snake’s contented sigh.

”It’s pollution from the starry sky!”

The captain of the Absolution Hunting Team steadied himself and loudly reminded his companions, ”Avoid the gaze! Don’t use magic like the Crushing Curse, as the pollution will backtrack along the magic power... neither does the Fire Curse work! The safest spell is the Binding Spell!”

He flicked his hand, casting a Binding Spell that wrapped an arm close to them into a bundle.

The Magical Biology Teacher gave the youth a surprised glance—he knew the pollution was from the starry sky because he’d participated in some experiments by Professor Montreya before, but for the second-year wizard in front of him to determine it so quickly and provide the correct response was undoubtedly based on his rich experience in mysticism and solid hunting skills.

The presence from the deeps of the starry sky wasn’t only a strange and distant concept to the school’s young wizards but even for many registered wizards who’ve worked in the Alliance for a long time.

Yet no one knew where this young man learned so much peculiar knowledge.

These thoughts flashed through his mind.

The next second, an ampoule bottle, shimmering with milky white light and filled with clear liquid, floated before him.

The words ”Fine Lourdes Holy Water” on the bottle’s body made the low-key instructor silent again, quietly stuffing back the ”Ordinary Version Lourdes Holy Water” he was about to offer from his sleeve.

”Lourdes Holy Water, half to be ingested, half to be applied to eyes and other stinging skin areas! It effectively removes pollution from the starry sky,” the young witch providing these potions spoke with an extraordinarily calm voice, seemingly imbued with a kind of wondrous magic that cleansed and soothed everyone’s hearts.

Oh, these young people nowadays.

Gan Ning, the lecturer, smacked his lips, feeling the refreshing taste spreading through his mouth, glancing at the young witch—not unexpectedly, she was the kind of kid who could poach Su Councilor’s corner!

When that name flashed through his mind...

Whoosh!

A swoosh of fragrance descended from the sky.

The Big Wizard of the Moonlit Council landed on the ground in a somewhat disheveled state, with spots of bloodstains on clean boots, and several burnt or torn spots on the beautiful Red Cloak. A few strands of hair were stuck to her forehead with fine sweat, effectively contrasting the pitch-black hair and fair skin to create a captivating beauty.

Of course, the reason for such a feeling was largely because the impressive charm, usually behind a pair of large glasses, now unleashed freely since they’d vanished, leaving everyone on the scene breathless.

Perhaps, only Zheng Qing, who’s seen the witch’s true face a few times, had a bit more resistance.

”If only this monster understood the concept of beauty,”

The Upper House Member of the Moonlit Council flirted with the hair hanging by her ear, with a hint of regret and caprice in her tone, but no frustration.

Then she looked around and authoritatively waved her hand:

”All of you, time to retreat~!”

Zheng Qing’s eyelids twitched slightly, raising the Remington in his hand and fired a shot at the witch’s head.

Bang!

A pale green Fu Bullet, with a faint magical fluctuation, grazed past the witch’s ear, striking heavily onto a clawing arm. Dozens of thick vines burst from the bullet’s center, instantly binding the arm into a large cocoon.

Honestly, Zheng Qing felt the current situation wasn’t desperate enough to flee recklessly.

This mutated ogre, despite its enormous size and ample magic power, and its ability to spread some strange curses and pollution, could still be sealed with the prowess of Su Shijun and the Absolution Hunting Team.

Fortunately, he was somewhat self-aware and refrained from immediately questioning the Big Wizard’s decision.

”Damn!”

He heard Councillor Su swear under his breath as Zheng Qing turned his head, seeing the witch unceremoniously kicking with the tip of her toe, just as a complex azure magic circle at her toes disintegrated.

”The teleportation array failed?”

Others gradually came to their senses, the Magical Biology Teacher was the one who spoke. He tried sounding natural, but everyone could sense the stiffness beneath the natural tone: ”Perhaps we could try the flying curse...or the Armour Horse curse?”

”Too slow, too slow...it’s already too late.”

Su Shijun sighed softly, looking up to the sky, as four azure giant tails freed themselves from the forest creatures’ entanglement, swiftly consolidating, shrinking back to her, swaying gently like flames burning.

It was beyond Zheng Qing’s expectations.

The not-too-distant mutated ogre did not pursue them, instead, like the witch, it endeavored to gather its once wantonly waving arms, huddling together to form a spire woven from arms, the tower’s tip encircled by a series of distinct eyeballs, intently staring at the sky.

The forest fell into an unsettling dead silence.

Including Zheng Qing, everyone followed the gaze of the two big wizards, raising their heads to look up. But beyond the grayish-white sky and low, thick clouds, there were no other anomalies.

”What’s too late?”

The young public-funded student mumbled as if talking to himself or questioning Su Shijun. Only, upon the last word’s utterance, he bit his tongue hard, gasping in pain.

Because at that moment, the sky ripped apart.

The thick clouds rolled to both sides, dazzling sunlight streaming down through the newly opened narrow rift, binding the sky and the earth together under golden sunlight like a thin veil.

An enormous hand, seemingly capable of covering the entire Buji Island, emerged from the rift, descending with an unmatched momentum.
