Chapter 1224: Chapter 1225: Gathering at the Training Ground

Later on, Su Chengyuan dared to look, and upon seeing that Du Aya had the same body structure as hers but was much more robust, she just: ”...”

Seeing Su Chengyuan stunned and not changing into the cloth armor, Ye Zhi said, ”You better hurry up and change into the cloth armor, the military camp is a place that values time the most.”

”How audacious, to dare address me as ’you’, such disrespect,” Su Chengyuan scolded sternly, ”I shall punish you for your irreverence!”

Ye Zhi truly didn’t want to deal with the princess. Turning her head, she said to Du Aya and the others, ”Hurry up and get dressed in your cloth armor, first assemble outside the tent, I’ll take you to the training ground after.”

”Yes!”

Ye Zhi was about to turn and leave, but Su Chengyuan grabbed her, assuming a haughty posture: ”I have never dressed myself before. This cloth armor, how does one wear it? You serve me and help me put it on!”

I could kick you to death!

Ye Zhi cursed inwardly at the moment, but outwardly she calmly said, ”No one here will serve you, but you can ask someone for help to show you how to wear the cloth armor.”

After saying that, Ye Zhi no longer lingered, turned, and walked out to her tent, telling the other six recruits about assembling at the training ground after an incense stick burns down and urging them to quickly put on their cloth armor and first assemble at the entrance of the tent.

The tents where the two groups of recruits were staying were only twenty meters apart, still relatively close.

Ye Zhi, Tobanya, Li Wuyu, Baoqin, Lie Qi, Shi Hua, and Ting Shu, seven people shared one tent.

Liu Feifei, Shi Shi, Du Aya, Yan Xiaohong, Ma Guihua, Zhou Piaopiao, and Su Chengyuan, the seven of them shared another tent.

As soon as Ye Zhi left, Su Chengyuan began to issue commands inside the tent to Yan Xiaohong: ”You, come and help me to dress.”

Yan Xiaohong was a peasant girl, who had never encountered such an important person as a princess and was already trembling with fear. Once commanded by Su Chengyuan, she immediately came over, wanting to help Su Chengyuan dress.

But Su Chengyuan saw her fingernails were filthy.

And at first sight, Su Chengyuan scolded her urgently, ”You’re too dirty, stay away from me! Farther!”

Yan Xiaohong, scared, quickly retreated and did not dare to approach Su Chengyuan again.

Liu Feifei couldn’t stand it and stood up, saying, ”Princess, let Feifei help you.”

Liu Feifei was the daughter of a Marquis, and she often went to the palace to accompany the princesses. Liu Feifei, although not very familiar with Princess Su Chengyuan, was not a stranger either.

Su Chengyuan recognized Liu Feifei as well, but having a Marquis’s daughter serve her to dress was not appropriate, so she followed the out Liu Feifei offered: ”Then, Feifei, you help me dress.”

Liu Feifei cooperated and agreed: ”Alright.”

...

An incense stick’s time passed quickly.

Ye Zhi led the thirteen new recruits to the training ground, and An Jing was already there.

It was only the 20th of the first lunar month, the weather was still a bit cold, especially when the wind blew from time to time, it felt even colder.

An Jing stood in the training ground with her hands behind her back, her face showing no expression. With that posture, that demeanor, even if no one said she was a drill instructor, anyone could tell at a glance that she was.

Even if not a drill instructor, she was a general who had galloped across the battlefield.

”Reporting to the instructor, all personnel have arrived, please give your instructions.” As soon as Ye Zhi got the group to stand in front of An Jing, she took a step forward, stood at attention, and shouted to An Jing in a loud voice.

Except for Tobanya, who remained cool and composed, the other new recruits: ”...” Would their throats go hoarse after shouting like this a couple of times?

But it was still quite imposing.

And also... it was quite funny.

”Pfft.” Su Chengyuan, Li Wuyu, Du Aya, Shi Shi, the four of them couldn’t hold it in and laughed out loud.
