Chapter 1212: Chapter 1213: Husband, I Really Want a Daughter

”I’m going to learn horse riding. I haven’t learned it yet.” Ye Zhi continued to walk outside while speaking.

She had to learn horse riding before the New Year, otherwise, when they start training new recruits next January, she would have no time to learn.

Jue Chen: ”Then if you don’t take me with you, who will teach you?”

Just as Ye Zhi was about to step out, she realized that was true indeed, immediately turned around, grabbed the back collar of Gong Juechen and dragged him outside, muttering, ”You are the one who insisted on taking this on, if you don’t do it right, see if I don’t kill you!”

Gong Juechen was dragged backwards, but he had a particularly enjoyable expression on his face, ”Zhizhi, rest assured, I will definitely teach you well~”

An Jing watched this and sincerely felt that Gong Juechen had a masochistic temperament.

After Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi disappeared at the entrance of the courtyard, An Jing began cutting paper again. While cutting, she suddenly looked up and gleefully smiled at Xiao Changyi.

Xiao Changyi was also cutting paper, and when he saw An Jing smiling at him, he stopped what he was doing and looked back at her.

An Jing then said, ”Husband, I don’t care how many people are in Chengyu’s harem, what I care about is...”

After drawing out her words, An Jing continued, ”Wen Xian is pregnant again, this is her third child.”

Xiao Changyi immediately changed the subject, ”Star wants a monkey, you better cut one for him quickly.”

But An Jing didn’t cut, she laughed even more happily: ”In our dialect, saying ’giving you a monkey’ means having a child for you.”

”...” Xiao Changyi fell silent, then said, ”Yun Er wants a goat, cut one for him.”

An Jing still didn’t cut, just laughed until she could contain her laughter, then jokingly asked, ”Are you really that scared of me having another child for you?”

”Uh-huh.” Xiao Changyi actually nodded.

”But I want a daughter, a daughter is like a little cotton jacket for her parents.”

”Aren’t Jing’er, Star, Qinger, and Yun Er close enough?”

”That’s not it, I simply want a daughter.”

Xiao Changyi fell silent for a long while before finally saying, ”Didn’t you say before that the chances of having a son or daughter are the same? What if the next child is a boy, wouldn’t you want to try again?”

An Jing, who just wanted another daughter: ”...”

”Okay, Jing’er, let’s drop this topic, don’t bring it up again.” Xiao Changyi truly didn’t want to see An Jing go through the pain of childbirth again.

An Jing had wanted to try for a second child with Xiao Changyi, hoping for a daughter, but if it was a boy... Well, she hadn’t thought everything through.

”Alright, let’s not talk about it now, we’ll talk about it later.” An Jing replied with a smile.

However, Xiao Changyi was instantly at a loss. He had clearly said it was to not be brought up again.

...

By the 27th of the twelfth lunar month, Ye Zhi had completely learned how to ride a horse, and having thoroughly mastered it, she no longer needed teachings, and gave Gong Juechen, the stubborn master who insisted on teaching her, a thorough beating.

It shows just how frustrated Ye Zhi was with Gong Juechen during her horse riding lessons.

On New Year’s Eve, Gong Juechen didn’t go to the General’s mansion to spend New Year’s with his sister Gong Juese, instead, he chose to stay in Prince Yi’s Mansion with Ye Zhi and others.

This year, An Jing and Xiao Changyi did not take the children to the palace to celebrate with their sworn father Su Haoyu, but stayed in the mansion.

The New Year’s Eve dinner was really sumptuous.

A large round table was filled with dishes.

An Jing, Xiao Changyi, the four little ones, Ye Zhi, Gong Juechen, Meng Zhuqing, and Tuoba Yanyao, ten people sat around the table, enjoying the New Year’s Eve dinner together.
