Chapter 1204: Chapter 1205: It’s Really a Woman

An Jing hadn’t even spoken when Xiao Changyi pulled her away, clearly not wanting An Jing to see. If it were a man... he anyway didn’t like his wife looking at other men’s bodies.

Seeing Xiao Changyi acting this way, Ye Zhi decided not to make it difficult for their Boss, and she immediately said to Du Aya, ”Let me do the checking, I am also a woman.”

”Okay.” Du Aya agreed without any shyness.

They found the closest inn, Ye Zhi got a room and then took Du Aya inside. When Du Aya took off her clothes, Ye Zhi realized that this person was indeed a woman.

Ye Zhi: ”...” It’s not easy for a woman to look so masculine...

After Du Aya had put her clothes back on, Ye Zhi then escorted Du Aya back to the recruitment area.

Upon seeing An Jing, Ye Zhi said, ”Boss, she really is a woman.”

Du Aya also spoke up, ”I really am a woman. Please recruit me, I am so tired of killing pigs. Killing them every day, it’s really annoying, and I’m also unable to get married, constantly being talked about by the neighbors, it’s even more annoying. I have a lot of strength, taking me into the army will definitely not be a loss. Oh, and I should tell you, I once killed a pig at home with a single punch.”

An Jing: ”...”

Ye Zhi was especially pleased, ”You are so strong, that’s great, come on, let me register you. Du Aya, right?”

”Yes, my name is Du Aya.”

”Where do you live?”

”West of the Imperial Capital.”

”You...”

”...”

After Ye Zhi had registered Du Aya, Du Aya said, ”Thank you for recruiting me. I still have a lot of pig offals at home, do you want me to bring some over?”

Ye Zhi’s smile stiffened for a moment, and then she quickly waved her hands, ”No need, no need, just go home and wait for the news.”

”Okay.” Du Aya turned around and left decisively.

Ye Zhi was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing.

Once Du Aya was far enough away, Ye Zhi then said to An Jing, ”Boss, I like this woman, she’s really hilarious.”

”Is she really a woman?” Since she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, An Jing was a bit incredulous.

”To tell you the truth, Boss, I didn’t expect her to be a woman either.” Ye Zhi chuckled. ”When I took her to the inn, I was thinking, if she turns out to be a man playing a prank on us, I would kick him so hard that he’d regret it, how dare he take off all his clothes and ask me to check, that’s indecent behavior towards me.”

An Jing then believed it.

Looking again in the direction Du Aya left, An Jing laughed, ”She really is funny.”

Ye Zhi said, ”Looking at her build, she should pass the assessment, and really become a soldier.” She paused. ”I really do want her to become a soldier, it would be such a waste if she didn’t.”

An Jing also had a good impression of Du Aya, but she didn’t say anything more about Du Aya. Instead, she asked the soldiers behind her to dismantle the recruitment station. The ten-day recruitment period had already ended; there was no point in keeping it up any longer.

...

In the Imperial Capital, An Jing had recruited eight women to the army. These eight women were: Du Aya, Su Chengyuan, Tobanya, Liu Feifei, Baoqin, Lie Qi, Shi Hua, Ting Shu.

Although the number was quite small, An Jing was still very satisfied.

As long as the initiative for women to join the army could continue, now there were few, but if these people could achieve merits and become officials, then in the future, more and more women would join the army.

In that way, the status of women would naturally elevate gradually.
