Berserk God of War

Chapter 540: Chapter 540 Are you threatening me?

They didn’t need to tell him; Lu Lungan had already rushed out of the city tower impatiently, gazing into the distance toward the direction of the Long Night Palace Divine Skyship. He saw the Dark Wings above and clenched his fists tightly.

In his heart, there was a longing, hoping that the Dark Wings would get lost quickly...

At that moment, on the Divine Skyship, Sikong Jing extended his hands and gently pressed downward, then said, ”Everyone, quiet down. We are now witnessing the sacred Commander Seal handover ceremony. From this moment forward, the Commander of the Long Night Black Burning Army is Commander Cheng Yusu.”

After speaking, Sikong Jing looked toward Cheng Yusu and once again brought out the Commander Seal.

Cheng Yusu was excited to receive it, but in that instant, Ji Tan reminded, ”Dark Wing Commander, first take off your mask.”

The moment the words were spoken, Cheng Yusu abruptly retracted his hand, and then assertively commanded, ”Dark Wings, take off the mask.”

Once again, silence fell on the Divine Skyship, and people like Cao Yi grew tense again. They were very clear that Sikong Jing would not remove his mask, and now the moment had come to truly deal with the situation.

Sikong Jing approached the surrounding Long Night Empire Army. What was he planning to do?

He was certainly not as mild-mannered as he seemed on the surface...

At this time, Sikong Jing smiled faintly, shrugged his shoulders, and said, ”What if I don’t want to take it off?”

His voice was very calm, yet it carried far and wide.

It reached the ears of countless Long Night Empire Soldiers, and also into Lu Lungan’s ears, causing his body to tremble uncontrollably.

This was going to be a good show!

The Long Night Empire was about to change commanders, and the acting commander, the Dark Wing Commander, was not convinced!

Convinced? Bullshit! He wouldn’t be convinced if he were in their place, why would he willingly hand over the fruits of victory? But it was clear that the junior Dark Wings lacked sufficient backing, having such a low status...

Lingun Lu roared madly in his heart, hoping for infighting.

Outside Netherworld State, everything fell silent, and on this terrible battlefield, a strange atmosphere began to spread.

Cheng Yusu, who was initially proud and excited, suddenly grew grim. At the same time, the experts of the Long Night White Flame Army he brought with him also surrounded Sikong Jing, with fierce killing intent in their eyes and sneering continuously.

Ji Tan stepped forward and inquired, ”Dark Wings, the Commander Seal handover ceremony requires one to take off their mask.”

”I know you have concerns, and I know the Beigong Commander had you play the role of a surprise soldier, but now that the Beigong Commander is gone, Commander Cheng no longer needs you to keep up any pretense.”

”Rest assured, as long as you are strong enough, we will not bury your talent.”

Ji Tan’s voice was gentle, yet it carried a heavy threat.

Meaning, the Beigong vanguard is dead, you Dark Wings also need to change your allegiance, you only have a way out if you follow me.

Only if you act like a dog for me, will I throw you a bone...

Ji Tan’s eyes narrowed deeply, a sharp light flashing within them as he stared directly at Sikong Jing.

”Eldest Prince, are you threatening me?” However, Sikong Jing didn’t beat around the bush with him and directly spoke out.

Suddenly, Ji Tan was taken aback.

Then, Cheng Yusu took a big step forward, a terrifyingly powerful aura pressing down on Sikong Jing as he said coldly, ”Dark Wings, you are speaking too seriously. You must understand that some things can be said, and some cannot.”

To talk to the Eldest Prince like that in front of the Long Night Empire Army could leave a very bad impression.

”Oh? Is Commander Cheng also threatening me?”

Sikong Jing, regardless of caution, continued to speak, then followed with a sneer, ”I dislike being threatened the most, so I still don’t want to take off the mask. The Commander Seal is right here; do you want it or not?”

Clang!

Suddenly, a group of experts brought by Cheng Yusu drew their weapons abruptly, pointing them directly at Sikong Jing.

A White Flame expert from the Extraordinary Realm coldly shouted, ”You brat Dark Wings, don’t be arrogant if you know what’s good for you.”

Sikong Jing slowly looked at everyone, then with a smile, he gently raised a hand.

Clang!

In the next instant, an even louder sound of metal clashing rang out on the battlefield, and tens of millions of Long Night Empire Soldiers suddenly brandished their weapons, pointing them toward the Divine Spaceship, as a terrifying battlefield aura rolled in.

At that moment, Cheng Yusu’s complexion changed, so did Ji Tan’s.

The Extraordinary-level expert from the White Flame Army who had just been cursing Sikong Jing turned around and roared at the Long Night Empire Soldiers below in Netherworld State: ”What are you doing, do you want to rebel?”

”You, even dares to aim your weapons at the Eldest Prince and Commander Cheng, put them away immediately.”

But, no one paid any attention to him...

What was even more horrifying unfolded before their eyes, as archers slowly lifted their bows and notched their arrows, each arrowhead like Star Light, directly pointing at Cheng Yusu, with the intent to kill condensing in mid-air.

This scene shocked Cao Yi and the others, they looked at each other in disbelief.

Even they had not expected that in just less than ten days, Sikong Jing’s impression within the Long Night Black Burning Army had deepened to such an extent, no one’s hands shook in the slightest as they held their weapons.

With so many arrows pointed at him, Cheng Yusu felt the hair on his body stand on end, and a chill rolled under his feet.

Ji Tan even took several steps back, his heart pounding ”thump thump”...

He couldn’t believe what he was seeing and looked at Sikong Jing. If the person standing there had been the Beigong Xianfeng, then this would be normal, but what right did the insignificant Dark Wing Commander have to subjugate tens of millions of the Long Night Empire Army?

He suddenly felt afraid, terrified.

If the Dark Wings Commander gave the order, they would all die from a thousand arrows piercing their hearts.

At this time, Sikong Jing again broke the silence, sneering, ”Now, do Commander Cheng and the Eldest Prince still want to continue threatening? Do you still need me to remove my mask?”

As the words fell, neither the Divine Spaceship nor the soldiers on the battlefield made a sound.

The breathing of Ji Tan and the others became increasingly rapid, after a good dozen breaths...

”Hahaha...”

Finally, Ji Tan let out a long laugh, saying, ”Dark Wing Commander, the Eldest Prince and Commander Cheng were just joking with you. You are the strongest surprise force of our Long Night Empire, how can we ask you to remove your mask?”

After a pause, Ji Tan turned to Cheng Yusu and said, ”Right, Commander?”

He was scared, he had compromised!

Upon hearing this, Cheng Yusu lowered his head, his eyes brimming with killing intent as he fixed his gaze on Sikong Jing, and after a couple of breaths, he too forced a laugh out, ”What the Eldest Prince said is right, the Dark Wing Commander really can’t take a joke, too serious.”

”Let’s begin the handover now.”

At this, Cheng Yusu thought bitterly: Wait until I get that Commander Seal, then we’ll see how I deal with you.

As Prince Zhen Nan, as the commander of the Long Night White Flame Army, when had he ever been so humiliated?

Underneath the mask, Sikong Jing’s expression could not be seen.

Like that, he casually threw the Commander Seal to Cheng Yusu, then he turned to the Long Night Empire Army and said, ”Now that I, Dark Wings, have officially stepped down, everyone must continue to fight under Commander Cheng’s leadership.”

The voice was assertive, but the faces of the Long Night Empire Soldiers were tense, some with eyes turning red.

Why change commanders when the Dark Wing Commander is so formidable?

At that moment, Cheng Yusu stepped onto the bow of the Divine Spaceship and raised the Commander Seal high, saying, ”I, Cheng Yusu, am now the commander of the Long Night Black Burning Army, the commander of the battle lines in the Youyuan Twelve States.”

”Now everyone heed my command, put down your weapons.”

After speaking, he raised his head and puffed out his chest as he swept his gaze over everyone... but still, no one put down their weapons.

This scene once again stunned Cheng Yusu, and he couldn’t help but seethe with rage as he ordered: ”I command you, put down your weapons.”
