Berserk God of War

Chapter 530: Chapter 530: Slay the Commander, Take the Cold Arrow

After several rounds, tens of thousands of War Soul Harvest Soldiers had been slain.

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing had already infiltrated the ranks of the War Soul Harvest Army. He growled lowly to Ning Jingjing, ”General Ning, continue leading the Dark Wing Camp Soldiers. I’m going to take the head of the War Soul Harvest Commander.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Sikong Jing shot out like a phantom, his target being the War Soul Harvest Commander.

The Commander was a middle-aged man with a fierce appearance, seemingly surrounded by countless vengeful and battling souls. The aura of the Daoist Martial Fourth Realm and Dao Marshal Realm was incredibly intense and terrifying.

However, he failed to detect Sikong Jing’s presence.

For Sikong Jing had masked his own aura with a beastly nature during his stealthy approach, blending in with the aura of the surrounding war horses.

The middle-aged Commander was busily reorganizing the War Soul Harvest Army, preparing to counterattack the Dark Wing Camp.

At that moment, he roared furiously at his surroundings: ”How dare these mere Sword Soldiers sneak attack my War Soul Harvest Army? Slaughter all of them for me! I want not a single one left alive.”

The next instant, Sikong Jing emerged from beneath his horse and sneered, ”You might want to worry about what kind of vengeful soul you’ll turn into after you die.”

With an upward slash, Sikong Jing aimed his sword at the head of the War Soul Harvest Commander.

The Commander was stunned for a moment and then bellowed in disbelief, ”What the hell? You think a little Daoist Soldier Realm punk can sneak attack me? Die!”

The moment his words fell, the War Soul Harvest Commander fiercely swung his sword down towards Sikong Jing with explosive force!

A torrent of battlefield vengeful spirits erupted from the Commander as the epicenter.

He clearly sensed Sikong Jing’s Martial Arts Realm and believed that with a single swipe of his sword, Sikong Jing would undoubtedly die.

But Sikong Jing was no ordinary Daoist Soldier Realm warrior.

He had once beheaded Ji Ming at the peak of the Xuanhai Realm, even though Ji Ming was in the Third Realm of Daoist Martial. And now, his True Qi from the Emperor Beheading Technique was enough to withstand beings of the Dao Marshal Realm.

Boom!

A burst of sound echoed as the sword clashed with the sword, and the war horse cried out in agony as it collapsed.

Sikong Jing’s eyes blazed with fury as he hovered in mid-air and slowly said, ”Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, Wing King’s Strike!”

After speaking, Sikong Jing once again pounced toward the War Soul Harvest Commander.

He was like a Dark Winged Dragon Eagle, spreading its sword-like feathers, stabbing incessantly with sword lights that poured down like black rain. In the moment the Commander struggled to defend, Sikong Jing shouted again, ”Blood Devouring Fifth Claw, Frenzy Rip!”

With one hand brandishing his sword and the other transformed into the Blood Devouring Claw, he viciously gripped his target.

This fifth claw was a technique he had created and mastered on his way to the Youyuan Twelve States after reaching the Peak of the Daoist Soldier Realm.

This claw was a frontal attack technique designed to rip and kill!

In an instant, the War Soul Harvest Commander was firmly grasped.

The so-called vengeful and battling souls around him were crushed to smithereens. What kind of souls could compare to the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts? What kind could stand up to the aura of the Blood Devouring Demon Beast?

Under the might of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts and the aura of the Devouring Demon Beast, all would be reduced to dust, leaving nothing behind.

Upon contact, the Commander’s form collapsed, his eyes widening in disbelief as he roared.

”What kind of monster are you? How can a mere first-level Daoist Soldier be this powerful... Damn it, explode!”

With all the True Qi in his body, he detonated the Devouring Frenzy Claw.

However, just when he was about to pull back, a jet black sword light flashed, severing his neck with one swift motion.

Blood spurted wildly, as a severed head soared high into the air.

Sikong Jing leapt up to catch it and shouted to those around him, ”The head of the War Soul Harvest Commander is here. Do you choose to retreat or die?”

With that one sentence, powered by his True Qi, the words thundered outward.

Every warrior from both sides trembled with the shock of his voice. Ning Jingjing, already blood-soaked, was the first to respond, calling out, ”Dark Wing Commander has slain the opposing Commander! The War Soul Harvest Army is nothing special after all. Dark Wing Camp Soldiers, annihilate them!”

”Kill, kill, kill...”

The morale of the fighters soared as the Dark Wing Camp soldiers drew their swords frantically, their Dark Wing Black Burning Swords piercing through the entire field.

In contrast, the War Soul Harvest Army was flabbergasted, staring in disbelief at Sikong Jing.

At that moment, one of the Deputy Commanders stood out, bellowing loudly, ”Join forces, kill this bastard from Long Night.”

The Deputy Commander and other core experts of the War Soul Harvest Army madly rushed to attack Sikong Jing.

”Perfect timing.”

Sikong Jing’s eyes sparkled with a cold light, and a bloodthirsty smile graced his lips.

How long had it been since he had fought alone against a multitude on the battlefield? He dearly missed that sensation and now was about to relive it thoroughly.

His sword extended flat in his hand as he instantly dived into the midst of his attackers.

Though the Deputy Commander and the rest were Second and Third Realm Daoist Martialists, in Sikong Jing’s eyes, there was no difference—they were all targets that could be slain at any moment. Kill, kill, kill...

Blood dyed his whole body red; Sikong Jing felt exhilarated.

The Dark Wing Camp soldiers were equally thrilled; their morale was high, and they were invincible.

Netherworld State City...

Specifically, the wall of the War Soul Dynasty closest to the Youxue Plain, where Lu Lungan had already stood up, his eyes fixed on the direction of Sikong Jing, growling lowly, ”What kind of army is this? Why was there no information about them in the reports?”

The events that had just unfolded had happened in the span of a few breaths.

From the Dark Wing Camp’s sudden assault to Sikong Jing’s stealthy attack on the War Soul Harvest Commander, all had been witnessed by Lu Lungan, but everything had happened so swiftly that he hadn’t been able to react. Now, he couldn’t help but furiously question the situation.

Yet neither his strategists nor his Vice Commanders had any knowledge of this mysterious troop from the Long Night Black Burning Army mentioned in the reports.

There was nothing at all in the intelligence.

Lu Lungan’s mouth twitched, and with a fierce look in his eyes, he said, ”Damned things, so all the previous strategies were just for the emergence of this unexpected force, to boost morale by killing my Harvest Commander.”

He paused for a moment and then suddenly shouted, ”Bring me a bow and arrows!”

Instantly, a Vice Commander presented a strong bow and mighty arrows; Lu Lungan took the bow, nocked an arrow, and aimed it at Sikong Jing, who was still fiercely killing, and coldly declared, ”Very cunning strategy, but don’t you even think about succeeding...”

”I lose one elite Commander, and you will lose one too—only then will we be even.”

”There is no way for you to uplift your spirits.”

As his words trailed off... thwack!

The arrow sliced through the air, heading straight for Sikong Jing. Lu Lungan’s lips curled into a cold smirk.

He was completely confident in his archery and the True Qi on his arrows.

That man wearing a black mask, the elite Commander of the Long Night Mercenaries, even if he were a Vice Commander from Beigong Xianfeng, would certainly die without question.

Amidst the chaos of the battlefield, Sikong Jing suddenly felt all the hairs on his body stand on end.

An extreme sense of danger arose within him, and his battlefield instincts told him that someone was shooting him with a concealed arrow, and it came from a high-level expert on the level of Beigong Xianfeng.

In that moment, Sikong Jing didn’t even try to look in the direction of the incoming arrow since he knew there wasn’t enough time.

What he had to do was to grab the neck of a War Soul expert and fix him in front of himself...

Just a split second later, with a thud, the War Soul expert was pierced through by the arrow, emitting an incredulous scream.

Atop the Netherworld State City wall, Lu Lungan slowly lowered the bow, laughing coldly, ”Such a quick reaction; too bad that even if you sensed the cold arrow, your body cannot keep up with the speed of the arrow. Even using someone as a shield is futile.”

”My arrow can easily penetrate through.”
