Berserk God of War

Chapter 516: Chapter 516: Proving Innocence, Serious Consequences

Sikong Jing smiled as he looked at Ji Ming and calmly said, ”Ji Ming, now if you confess how you plotted against my family, it might still be in time; otherwise, you will die a miserable death, and the consequences will be severe!”

As soon as he had finished speaking, Ji Ming’s expression turned cold, and he sneered repeatedly, ”Sikong Jing, you dare to frame the prince at your dying moment? When have I ever plotted against your family, and what can you possibly do to me?”

The last line was a bit off.

In fact, he really wanted to say, ”Even if I did plot against you, what can you do about it?”

”Severe consequences, I really want to see how severe they will be, who are you trying to scare?”

Ji Ming lifted his head and puffed out his chest, not afraid at all.

He still didn’t believe that Sikong Jing could do anything under the watchful eyes of so many soldiers and so many civilians.

The young man who was gagged with a dirty sock was indeed strange, but on closer thought, it was impossible to have a witness.

Therefore, this so-called witness must have been Sikong Jing trying to scare himself.

”You said it yourself...”

Sikong Jing shrugged his shoulders and slowly turned to Su Zhenglong, saying, ”Father, please sever one arm of this man.”

Upon hearing this, Su Zhenglong nodded without hesitation then took a knife from the hands of the Absolute Night Wolf Guard and directly chopped off the arm of the man brought before them.

Instantly, blood sprayed wildly.

And the man, even with a dirty sock stuffed in his mouth, screamed wildly, his eyes nearly bursting.

However, everyone in the crowd was stunned. What exactly was Sikong Jing doing?

Following that, Sikong Jing gave no explanations but continued to direct Mei Xiaofang and Su Yue Immortal to sever one hand and one foot of the man.

After that was done, Sikong Jing then said, ”General Ning, it’s your turn.”

As he finished speaking, Ning Jingjing flashed out from the crowd and similarly, with one slash, severed another foot of the man.

Finally, Sikong Jing tilted his head and looked faintly at Ji Ming, saying, ”My family members and General Ning, you all declared them spies, right? Now, they have all proven their innocence.”

The crowd was dumbfounded; whether it was the civilians or the other scheming figures hidden among them, they all looked at each other in bewilderment.

Sikong Jing, what in the world was he concocting?

Chopping off the limbs of that inexplicably blamed man, how did that prove anyone’s innocence?

In a large tree at a distance, standing were two people, Long Night Emperor Ji Shengmang and Beigong Xianfeng, who had come to see how Sikong Jing would handle the situation.

But the scene before them also left them completely baffled.

In another direction, Yan Ruyu, too, was hiding in the shadows, her eyebrows deeply furrowed, equally confused.

At that moment, Ji Ming finally shouted, ”Sikong Jing, what nonsense are you playing at?”

By his side, Huang Yu suddenly became restless and abruptly demanded, ”Sikong Jing, who exactly is this man?”

As the Commander of the Imperial City Guard, Huang Yu felt that Sikong Jing must have a deeper purpose; the man gagged with the dirty sock was probably not a simple character, hence his growing unease.

”Oh, did I not mention who he is?”

Sikong Jing revealed a faint smile, as if he had just remembered.

After tapping his head, he forcefully pulled the dirty sock out of the mouth of the man whose limbs had been chopped off and then said lightly, ”Let him introduce himself to you then.”

As soon as the words fell, the man, whose limbs had been chopped off but had not yet fainted, roared furiously, ”Damned fools, reattach my limbs at once! I am the third prince of the War Soul Dynasty, I am Lu Ding!”

Buzz!

As these words were released, the minds of everyone present thundered, their eyes widening in disbelief.

The third prince of the War Soul Dynasty, are you kidding me?

”I am still a True Inheritor Student of the Holy Dragon General Academy, I am a disciple of the Palace Master of the Holy Dragon General Academy.”

”Long Night Empire, if you don’t reattach my limbs, not only will the War Soul Dynasty launch a total assault, but the Holy Dragon General Academy will absolutely not let you off either.”

Lu Ding was howling furiously, his voice almost tearing through the heavens.

Buzz, buzz, buzz...

Off in the distance, on a great tree, Ji Shengmang stared dumbfounded, his mind suddenly buzzing intensely. If Lu Ding were merely the third prince of the War Soul Dynasty, killing him wouldn’t have mattered much.

But a True Inheritor Student, and also a disciple of the General Academy’s Palace Master—now that was going to be big trouble.

At that moment, Sikong Jing stuffed a dirty sock back into Lu Ding’s mouth and slowly swept his gaze across the countless people present.

”You claim my family is spying, and that General Ning is too.”

”All the witnesses have been silenced, yet I can still prove our innocence. Our family, along with General Ning, chopped off the limbs of the War Soul Dynasty’s third prince—now who dares call us spies?”

Sikong Jing’s voice boomed out, and the crowd along with the Imperial Guards stared at him, completely dumbfounded.

Indeed, a spy would be someone from the War Soul Dynasty, who else would so ruthlessly chop off the prince’s limbs? If they were the spies planted in the War Soul Dynasty, how could they dare to so boldly chop off the prince’s limbs?

Even if it were to prove their innocence, they wouldn’t be this harsh—it would result in many deaths.

”Ji Ming, you framed our family, and now the War Soul Dynasty’s third prince has died because of you.”

”The War Soul Dynasty will launch a total assault on the Long Night Empire because of this, and you will be known as the criminal of the Long Night Empire.”

Sikong Jing said this, then suddenly burst out laughing, ”Oh right, you also just called me a spy, so I ought to prove my innocence too.”

Having spoken, Sikong Jing drew a knife and swung it down towards Lu Ding’s head.

”Stop!”

From a distance, Ji Shengmang and nearby Huang Yu shouted at the same time.

Lu Ding absolutely couldn’t die.

But Ji Shengmang was too far away, so Huang Yu took the lead in rushing toward Sikong Jing.

However, what met him was a barrage from the Absolute Night Wolf Guards!

He just stood there, watching as Sikong Jing decapitated Lu Ding, with blood spraying wildly and rolling onto the ground.

The scene once again fell silent, and Huang Yu shook uncontrollably, while Ji Shengmang, having run out but then stopping at another large tree, also trembled all over.

Limbs can be reattached, but a severed head cannot be.

Lu Ding was dead, utterly dead!

At this moment, Ji Ming was still somewhat bewildered, but gradually all eyes fell on him.

At this moment, Sikong Jing’s family and Ning Jingjing had completely proven they were not spies, which meant this was all a setup by Ji Ming, resulting in very severe consequences, just as Sikong Jing initially claimed!

The War Soul Dynasty would declare war, the Holy Dragon General Academy would come seeking retribution, coming to kill!

Shaking violently, Huang Yu mounted his horse and quickly distanced himself from Ji Ming, staring at Sikong Jing he said, ”How could you do this? Even, even if you were falsely accused, you shouldn’t have plunged the Long Night Empire into massive trouble.”

Sikong Jing sneered repeatedly, his face full of coldness.

”Our family can be thrown into fire and water, but not others? Before, who was it that wanted to chop off my in-laws’ heads?”

With one sentence, Huang Yu was left speechless, at a loss for words.
