Berserk God of War

Chapter 520: Chapter 520: Preparations Before the Expedition

He hesitated for a moment before the Beigong Xianfeng spoke again, deeply, ”In the future, Sikong Jing can ensure our Long Night Empire’s peace for a hundred years without worry.”

Ji Shengmang’s body trembled slightly, deeply agreeing that Sikong Jing’s Martial Arts Talent would allow him to surpass Shen Qingye.

Moreover, he had the terrifying human-shaped demon beast as his companion, a fearsome existence capable of inciting a riot among all demon beasts in the city.

How could I dare to be dissatisfied? Truly, I dare not!

After returning to the Long Night Palace’s Ye Emperor Hall, Ji Shengmang immediately convened the ministers for an urgent discussion.

And after learning of Lu Ding’s execution, the Long Night ministers had already prepared to enter the palace.

Many ministers were ready to plead with Ji Ming for leniency, and some were prepared to curse Sikong Jing and the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, but when they saw a declaration of war in the Ye Emperor Hall, they all fell silent.

It turned out that whether Lu Ding was alive or dead, a great battle was inevitable and unstoppable.

At this moment, Ji Tan stepped forward and whispered, ”Father Emperor, even so, Sikong Jing has gone too far. We must at least get an apology from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, and as for the seventh brother, he...”

Before he could finish, Ji Shengmang coldly interrupted him, ”Shen Qingye has already expelled Sikong Jing from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.”

This statement stunned the ministers who were eager to curse at the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, rendering them speechless.

Ji Tan also couldn’t help but open his mouth wide, unable to speak for a moment.

Being expelled from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace was, of course, Shen Qingye’s decision, more reliable than a mere apology.

”Issue my imperial edict immediately and announce that Sikong Jing has been expelled from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace,” Ji Shengmang said, not forgetting the matter Shen Qingye instructed him to help with, seizing the moment to issue the announcement.

As for the fact that Sikong Jing was the Dark Wing Commander, he naturally wouldn’t disclose that.

”Summon someone to report Lu Ding’s death in detail to the War Soul Dynasty, and then tell them that we have accepted the declaration of war.”

”The battle for the Youyuan Twelve States will be led by the Beigong Xianfeng as Commander, does anyone object?”

Of course, there were no objections from the ministers, and as for reproaches towards the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace and Sikong Jing, nobody voiced any.

In this way, various institutions in the Long Night Imperial City began to operate at high speed.

The Long Night Black Burning Army also would march toward the Youyuan Twelve States after three days.

At the same time, the border fortresses of the Youyuan Twelve States also entered the most critical state of readiness, the war drums were sounding, and the battle was about to commence.

On the same day, the news of Sikong Jing being expelled from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace spread throughout the entire Long Night Imperial City.

The entire city was in an uproar, with countless people discussing it.

Some people harshly criticized the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, ”They’re really useless. It’s just the killing of the third prince of the War Soul Dynasty. If he’s been killed, so be it. What’s there for the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace in our Long Night Empire to be afraid of?”

Now Sikong Jing’s reputation had completely changed, becoming a hero in the hearts of some.

Some people cursed loudly, ”The expulsion was good! Sikong Jing relied on the backing of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace to do as he pleased, disregarding the lives of the citizens of the Long Night Empire, truly like a Little Demon.”

They didn’t care about any declaration of war, they just felt that Sikong Jing did not consider the big picture.

”Where will Sikong Jing go from here?”

Others also questioned. The future of Sikong Jing, who had left the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, was unpredictable.

But no matter what people said, Sikong Jing still did as he pleased...

He had already returned to the Long Night Black Burning Army’s 66th Castle, beginning preparations for the campaign. He instructed all troops in the Dark Wing Black Burning Sword, further enhancing the realm of the Dark Wing Camp Soldiers.

...

In the blink of an eye, three days were approaching.

Tomorrow morning will mark the moment when the Long Night Black Burning Army sets off, and Sikong Jing quietly returned to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, meeting Su Yuexi, Su Zhenglong, and Mei Xiaofang on Golden Dragon Mountain, and of course, the Su Yue Immortal was there as well.

”Ajing, Yue Xian and I can join the battle,” Su Zhenglong said to Sikong Jing, his tone a bit displeased.

They were originally from the 66th Army and were also soldiers of the Dark Wing Camp, but Sikong Jing did not allow them to join the expedition.

Su Zhenglong had already reached the Xuantian Realm and was eager to achieve great deeds.

”Father, there are many uncontrollable factors on the battlefield, and I alone am enough to go,” Sikong Jing said.

”Moreover, Yan Ruyu has disappeared again, and I suspect that she has been taken in by some big shot from the Long Night Empire. She might scheme against you in secret, so it’s best for you to stay in the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.”

Mei Xiaofang nodded continuously with Sikong Jing’s words, loudly scolding Su Zhenglong for still wanting to go to the battlefield at his age.

She didn’t want her husband and elder daughter to risk their lives.

Then Su Yuexi added, ”Father, if you were on the battlefield, it would be very difficult for Brother Jing.”

The fortunes of war were ever-changing, and a single decision could affect the life and death of an entire troop. If Sikong Jing had to both protect Su Zhenglong and Su Yue Immortal and fight to win, it would be incredibly challenging.

Su Yuexi saw things very clearly...

In the end, Su Zhenglong and Su Yue Immortal could only nod their heads in reluctant agreement.

After leaving Golden Dragon Mountain, they left Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi alone to talk until dawn.

When the moment of farewell came, Su Yuexi hugged Sikong Jing tightly and said with a firm tone, ”Brother Jing, just like in Yunye City, I will wait beautifully for your return. I will also strive hard in my cultivation.”

Sikong Jing, just like the first time he set off from Yunye City, kissed Su Yuexi’s forehead and hugged her tightly before leaving.

He turned and left, leaving behind his broad back.

”Master of Ten Thousand Beasts, would you like to grasp one of my meridians?”

Just as Sikong Jing had returned to the Long Night Black Burning Army, a voice from the Golden Divine Dragon suddenly came from within the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison, making Sikong Jing’s body tremble slightly. He asked in confusion, ”Can I really grasp your meridian right now?”

The Golden Divine Dragon was one of the most terrifying existences in the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison, far more formidable than the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle.

”I want you to leave something behind to enhance the strength of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace,” the dragon stated.

”We all fear Lady of Ten Thousand Beasts for any danger.”

Su Yuexi, who had released Sikong Jing from his demonization, was now delving deep into the Beast Heart within the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison.

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing was somewhat bewildered. Why would the dragon allow him to grasp one of its meridians and then talk about leaving something for the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace? What was the connection between the two?

Then, the Golden Divine Dragon added, ”My claw mark is inscribed inside the original Xingluo Palace.”

”As long as you grasp my meridian, I can use you to leave something good inside my claw mark.”

”This good thing can allow the Seven Symbols Heavenly Dragon to enter the Reverse Soul Realm in a short time, it can also make the two Golden Body Realm warriors of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace progress rapidly, and it can even turn my claw mark into a solid fortress.”

With these words, Sikong Jing’s eyes lit up.

Looking at the Long Night Black Burning Army that had already gathered, ready to set off, he asked, ”How much time will I need?”

”That will depend on how quickly the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts can grasp it,” the Golden Divine Dragon said with a laugh.

Sikong Jing closed his eyes deeply.

After three breaths, Sikong Jing flashed into the Long Night Black Burning Army, approached Ning Jingjing, and said, ”General Ning, I have something urgent to attend to and must stay behind, but I will complete it as quickly as possible and meet up with you in the Youyuan Twelve States.”

”Please pass on the message to the Beigong Commander for me.”

Without waiting for Ning Jingjing to ask further questions, Sikong Jing left the Long Night Black Burning Army once again.
