Berserk God of War

Chapter 517: Chapter 517: Ji Ming, Execution by Questioning

Finally, Ji Ming regained his senses, trembling as he pointed at Sikong Jing.

”You say he is the Third Prince of the War Soul Dynasty, what evidence do you have?”

He wasn’t completely foolish and understood the gravity of the situation, yet even now, he refused to recant or reveal the truth.

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing shrugged his shoulders and coldly tossed out two tokens, ”One is the token of the Holy Dragon General Academy, and the other is the Prince’s Token of the War Soul Dynasty. Do you believe us now?”

Gulp...

When Huang Yu and the others focused on the tokens, they finally confirmed that the person who had been chopped was indeed the Third Prince of the War Soul Dynasty.

”Alright, now that we have proven our innocence, we will be leaving first.”

Sikong Jing revealed a faint cold smile, then turned around and led Su Zhenglong and the others back to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace...

But just then, Ji Ming’s eyes turned ferocious and he gazed at Sikong Jing manically.

”It was you who killed the Third Prince of the War Soul Dynasty. You are the real criminal. You must stay as our bargaining chip in negotiations with the War Soul Dynasty and the Holy Dragon General Academy. You must die.”

Having said this, Ji Ming violently charged at Sikong Jing, unleashing his strongest power in his frustration.

He intended to kill Sikong Jing personally...

However, Sikong Jing turned his head back, then vanished on the spot, hurling a flurry of punches at Ji Ming. After dozens of punches, Ji Ming was sent flying to the ground, his bones nearly shattered.

Collapsed on the ground, Ji Ming stared at Sikong Jing in disbelief and exclaimed, ”How are you so strong?”

Sikong Jing stared back at him and coldly replied, ”Previously outside Imperial City, I disdained to respond to your life-and-death challenge. Even if I wanted to kill you then, someone would have said to show mercy...”

”But now, no one dares, so wait for your death!”

With that, Sikong Jing turned around again, leading the group back to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.

The whole scene quieted down again, staring blankly at Sikong Jing’s departing figure.

The crowd’s angry looks gradually turned to admiration; the number one Martial Arts Genius of the Long Night Empire had changed today, and his name was Sikong Jing.

Gradually, the crowd’s gaze shifted back to Ji Ming... Sikong Jing’s family had almost been framed to death by him.

Seventh Prince Ji Ming must have been jealous of Sikong Jing’s talent and Martial Arts Talent.

Such a high-ranking Seventh Prince, is this all there is to his scope?

On a distant tree, Beigong Xianfeng caught up to Ji Shengmang and spoke softly, ”Your Majesty, it was the old minister’s miscalculation. I also did not expect Sikong Jing to be so ruthless, proving his innocence without regard to consequences.”

”What do we do now?”

Sikong Jing was indeed too cruel.

He gave Lu Ding no chance to live, nor did he give the Long Night Empire a chance to respond or negotiate, simply chopping down Lu Ding... This was the consequence of framing his family.

Even this is the consequence of Your Majesty’s mistrust.

Ji Shengmang’s eyes twinkled as he sighed, ”Let us discuss the other matters upon returning. For now, issue my decree to behead Ji Ming!”

After speaking, he gritted his teeth fiercely.

The royal family is ultimately heartless, but still, Ji Ming was his own son, and his heart was truly heavy.

But now the roles had reversed, not killing Ji Ming was not enough to calm the public outrage, not enough to secure Sikong Jing, the future god of war.

And his decree was quickly passed down, an eunuch reaching the scene.

”By the royal decree, Seventh Prince Ji Ming framed Sikong Jing’s family without any boundaries, leading to irreversible severe consequences.”

”Now demoted to a commoner status. Tomorrow at noon, execute outside Imperial City!”

Whoosh...

The entire place buzzed with astonishment, disbelief mixing with a thick sense of pleasure.

Just as Ji Ming had stood up, he thudded onto his knees, his body trembling violently, and the world spun around him... Suddenly, a phrase from Sikong Jing flashed through his mind.

”Eventually, I will be killed by Yan Ruyu!”

His words had come true; all the plans had been made by Yan Ruyu.

He roared, he bellowed... but soon he was apprehended and shackled heavily.

No one sympathized with him, even Huang Yu kept his distance, fearing he might be implicated.

After dealing with Ji Ming, the eunuch announced the second royal decree, investigating everyone involved in framing Sikong Jing. As the main suspects, the Peng Peng Family of the first family of the Long Night Imperial City was entirely arrested.

The scene instantly boiled over with screams and roars... but the resistance of the Peng Peng Family members was futile.

In a corner behind a big tree, Yan Ruyu’s face was pale as paper, her teeth chattering uncontrollably.

She was terrified.

She turned to flee... but had only run a few steps when she crashed into a broad chest, and looking up, Yan Ruyu collapsed to the ground, trembling, and cried out, ”Eldest, Eldest Prince.”

It was over. The Eldest Prince was definitely summoned by Beigong Xianfeng to capture her.

However, in the next instant, Ji Tan gently squatted down and lightly grasped Yan Ruyu’s chin.

”Quite a spectacle, all of my younger brother’s arrangements were made by you, weren’t they?”

”You did very well, from now on, follow me closely, and I assure no one will be able to find you,” he said.

At his words, Yan Ruyu incredulously raised her head, utterly stunned.

”My hand is sorely lacking someone of your talents. My seventh brother was just not too sharp, otherwise, he wouldn’t have died so miserably. Your plan was flawless, just bad luck.”

”You could never have guessed that Lu Ding would appear at the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace at this moment, to be utilized by Sikong Jing.”

”Now, this Prince is giving you luck, saving your life. Would you follow me?”

After speaking, Ji Tan looked at Yan Ruyu with a smile.

He had seen all of Ji Ming’s maneuvers during this time, and his assistance to Ji Ming wasn’t due to any brotherly affection. Instead, he wanted to secure Ji Ming’s strategist for his own use.

At the same time, he also wanted Ji Ming and Beigong Xianfeng to tear each other apart.

And now, he had found Ji Ming’s strategist.

It took quite a while for Yan Ruyu to recover, but she eventually knelt vigorously and said, ”This servant is certainly willing.”

Every cloud has a silver lining, indeed. She thought she was truly doomed, but instead, Ji Tan took her in, and compared to the Seventh Prince Ji Ming, Ji Tan was many times stronger.

His influence in the Long Night Empire was immense, making him the most powerful contender for the future Emperor of Long Night.

Her luck could not have been better; she had lost a sesame but gained a watermelon.

At that moment, Ji Tan smiled again and said, ”Rise.”

After Yan Ruyu got up, Ji Tan’s expression suddenly turned cold, and he said, ”But I am not like Ji Ming; do not harbor any ulterior motives towards me, nor will I exhaust all means over your personal vendettas. This Prince wants the big picture.”

”If you want Sikong Jing dead, that’s fine, but it must wait until I am securely in power. You must obediently endure.”

”Also, you must prove that you are more valuable than Sikong Jing, or I might just kill you to win Sikong Jing over.”

As Ji Tan spoke, Yan Ruyu trembled slightly and nodded deeply.

As Ji Tan led her away, Yan Ruyu thought darkly, ”I will definitely prove more valuable than that mere soldier Sikong Jing, and whether you can conquer this Princess, we shall see.”

Thinking this, she still followed Ji Tan meekly, looking like a frightened little bird.
