Berserk God of War

Chapter 521: Chapter 521: I Want Beigong Xianfeng, Dead!

Not long after, he appeared at the original Xingluo Palace, which is now the Eighth Branch of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.

Just at this moment, Qin Heng was supervising construction here.

More than a month had passed, yet the Eighth Branch had not been refinished.

Upon seeing Sikong Jing, Qin Heng opened his mouth wide, puzzled as he asked, ”Ajing, weren’t you about to set out on a military campaign?”

Nowadays, not many knew that Sikong Jing was to march with the Long Night Black Burning Army, and Qin Heng was one of the few who did.

Sikong Jing shook his head and said frankly, ”Vice Palace Master Qin, I need to retreat in the Dragon Seal for a few days before departing. Can you clear the workers and such around the Dragon Seal for me? Please don’t let anyone approach for the time being.”

Qin Heng was stunned for a moment, but then he nodded without hesitation. Although he had questions, he did not ask further.

And so, Qin Heng led Sikong Jing to the location of the Dragon Seal.

At this moment, the area around the Dragon Seal had been encircled by a small building, and on the entrance, a row of characters read: Ancient Dragon Seal Tower!

After Sikong Jing entered, Qin Heng immediately ordered that no one was to approach.

Ultimately, Qin Heng of course notified Shen Qingye as well.

The latter was also unclear about what Sikong Jing was up to, and they all made one incorrect guess: within Sikong Jing’s body were incomprehensible and powerful Beast Veins; maybe he might be able to comprehend the power within the Ancient Demon Dragon Claw Mark.

Perhaps Sikong Jing could surprise them once again...

Inside the Ancient Dragon Seal Tower, Sikong Jing sat cross-legged, his consciousness entering the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison.

Subsequently, the Golden Divine Dragon in front of him opened up all its meridians.

Hum!

When Sikong Jing looked towards the meridians, he nearly became demonized...

Thankfully, at this moment, the Golden Divine Dragon deliberately brightened one of the meridians, allowing the demonic power within to circulate and display itself fully before Sikong Jing’s eyes.

Taking a deep breath, Sikong Jing adjusted his emotions and quietly comprehended this meridian.

...

While Sikong Jing was in seclusion,

At the Prince Manor, Yan Ruyu saw Ji Tan and could not help but ask, ”Your Highness, has the Long Night Black Burning Army already set out? Are Sikong Jing’s father-in-law and elder sister-in-law among them?”

After asking, a cold glint flashed in her eyes, wishing she could immediately kill all related to Sikong Jing.

Ji Tan sat down gently and, after sipping some fragrant tea, said, ”Yan Ruyu, if you truly only care about Sikong Jing, then I’m afraid I can’t keep you by my side. I fear you might spoil my plans.”

At these words, cold sweat streamed down Yan Ruyu’s back, and she bit her lip, bowing her head.

The next instant, Ji Tan laughed again and calmly explained, ”I’ve heard that after Sikong Jing was expelled from the Holy Dragon Palace, he secretly took his family away from the Long Night Black Burning Army. Now, their whereabouts are unknown.”

At his words, Yan Ruyu’s body shook violently, her fists clenched gently.

”Let me test you, where do you think his family might be?” Ji Tan then asked with a smile.

With a glint of cold light in her eyes, Yan Ruyu slowly opened her mouth, ”Holy Dragon Palace.”

As soon as the five words came out, Ji Tan couldn’t help but laugh.

With their wit, of course, they could guess that the Holy Dragon Palace was intentionally driving Sikong Jing away.

This was a tactic to temporarily avoid the limelight.

Suddenly, Ji Tan waved his hand and said again, ”Set aside Sikong Jing for now. I have a scheme that needs your brainpower; I want Beigong Xianfeng... to die in the Youyuan Twelve States as soon as possible.”

”What?” Yan Ruyu’s eyes widened, looking at Ji Tan in confusion.

Beigong Xianfeng was the Commander of this operation, with the possession of the Youyuan Twelve States at stake. Why would Ji Tan want him dead?

”I’m in the prime of my life, when will I be able to ascend the throne?” Ji Tan said with a sneer, then slowly added, ”And the most troublesome person around my father is Beigong Xianfeng. That old man may be aged, but as a Peak Dao Inquiry Realm expert, he might reach the Golden Body Realm at any moment.”

”When that happens, he’ll be able to live for many more years. I don’t want to wait too long, do you understand?”

Yan Ruyu opened her mouth. As the Ninth Princess of the Great Shang Dynasty from the Canglong Small Domain, she, of course, understood.

Eldest Prince Ji Tan wanted to quickly remove the biggest obstacle, Beigong Xianfeng, to hasten his father’s death.

Ji Tan couldn’t wait to ascend the throne.

Realizing this, Yan Ruyu’s eyes narrowed into a smile, ”I understand, but I’m not familiar with the military situation and am completely in the dark about the War Soul Dynasty, so I’m afraid I can’t offer any good advice at the moment.”

As Yan Ruyu spoke, a sinister glint flashed across her eyes...

”Are you saying that you have some not-so-good suggestions? Let’s hear them.” Ji Tan shrugged.

Yan Ruyu didn’t hold back, ”We could use Sikong Jing, say that Beigong Xianfeng knows his whereabouts. This will drive the War Soul Dynasty mad. But that’s not the key. The key is that both the Holy Dragon General Academy and the Xingluo General Academy also want him dead.”

Upon hearing this, Ji Tan immediately understood what Yan Ruyu wanted to do.

Both General Academies surely bore a grudge against Sikong Jing, but Ji Tan shook his head, ”Whether it’s Sikong Jing or Lu Ding, they’re both nobodies in the eyes of the two General Academies. You’re assuming too much.”

Yan Ruyu’s lips twitched. She didn’t understand the East Plain Northern Land well enough and didn’t know what to do next.

Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Ji Tan’s mind, and he stared intensely at Yan Ruyu, causing her to become a little flustered.

”What are you going to do?” Yan Ruyu asked nervously.

”Ha ha ha! You’ve given me an idea,” Ji Tan laughed heartily with a malevolent tone, ”Do you remember why the Wangyou Sect attacked the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace? For what purpose did they come?”

At those words, Yan Ruyu was greatly shaken and her eyes lit up, ”For Sikong Jing!”

”Right. Even though we still don’t know why the Wangyou Sect wants to see Sikong Jing, it’s definitely not for anything good.”

”We’ll tell Sect Master Mo Ci that Beigong Xianfeng is very aware of Sikong Jing’s whereabouts.”

After Ji Tan spoke, a cold smile played on his lips, his eyes glittering with cold, murderous intent.

Yan Ruyu also clenched her fists tightly, displaying a fiercely triumphant smile. Although the idea wasn’t hers, at least she had reminded him, and she had certainly left a deep impression on Ji Tan.

...

A few days later, within the territory of the Long Night Empire, at the Wangyou Sect.

”Puh...” Mo Ci spat out a mouthful of fresh blood in her palace, her eyes brimming with intense killing intent.

The entire palace seemed inundated with this murderous aura, causing the surrounding Wangyou Sect members to shiver with fear.

Suddenly, a cool and distant voice came from outside the palace, ”Master, Wang Ge requests an audience.”

Mo Ci trembled slightly, withdrawing her killing intent, and said, ”Come in.”

The sound of soft footsteps grew closer, with Sikong Ling approaching Mo Ci step by step. She directly asked, ”Master, I heard there was an accident on your trip. May I know what happened? Where is Senior Sister Wang Qing?”

As the last question was asked, Sikong Ling’s voice was as cold as ice in the depths of winter.

Master Mo Ci had returned the day before, yet Sikong Ling couldn’t find Wang Qing. No one knew where she was; they only knew the Sect Master returned alone, gravely wounded.

Sikong Ling didn’t care how Mo Ci was injured; she only cared about the whereabouts of ”Wang Qing,” her brother’s killer.
